1 Corthyr

A beautiful young elf is gathering berries, herbs and vegetables. She stops by the river and sets the basket down. She puts her hands in the river and splashes her face. She stays there and looks at her reflection, then smiles. She picks her basket up and continues her task and starts to hum a beautiful melody.

She walks through a forest gathering. She's still humming when she spots a man laying in the grass. Startled she looks at the body. She sees his chest rising and falling indicating he's breathing. Cautiously she walks up to him and shakes him. He doesn't respond. She rushes to her village to get help to carry and help him.

What happened? Did I collapse? I guess I was more worn out than I thought. Wait, I'm pretty sure I collapsed in the forest. Why do I feel like I'm laying in a bed? I begin to open my eyes.

Above me I can see a wooden ceiling attached to stone walls. I look around and it seems to be a normal room in a stone house. As I scan the room my eyes fix on a girl. She's crouched over a water bowl, her long blonde hair has a small braid coming down in the back. She wrings out a washcloth and turns to me and we lock eyes, "Ah! Y-y-you're awake."

She has beautiful violet eyes, milky white skin, and luscious pink lips. She is wearing a fitted green dress which shows her body off well. Her hips give her an hourglass figure, and she's showing a small amount of cleavage. And coming out of her hair I see pointed ears, she's an elf?

"How are you feeling?" her voice is soft and soothing. "Where am I?" it's the one question I've had since I awoke. She smiles at me, "This is my village, it's called Corthyr." she started moving towards me, "I found you in the forest alone, and unconscious, so we brought you here." She sat on the bed, "This is a spare room in my father's house." her hands moved the washcloth to my face and she began to wash my face, and she continued to smile. I can't help but stare into her eyes, being mesmerized by her beauty.

She continues to gently caress my face with the wet cloth. She glanced at my eyes before saying, "We don't see a lot of humans near here. So I was surprised when I stumbled across you." I close my eyes as I recalled the events that happened before I collapsed, "I was chased by a group of bandits, apparently they had it in for me. I didn't feel like asking why. I had fought them and killed them, but I hadn't found much time to rest for the past few days and was exhausted after the fight and fell unconscious." She looked at me and I could see the questions that were formulating in her head. She was about to say something when the door swung open, "Lyrei, ni tye vamme ana quet- ana i hilde, sí lende." (Lyrei, I told you to not speak to the human, now leave.) another elf barged in speaking in the Elven tongue.

I looked at him and he had blonde hair and silver eyes, his hair was braided and reached past his shoulders. He radiated importance and eyed me with disdain. I could tell he wasn't fond of humans. The she-elf got up and left the room saying, "-O nút- ontáro." (Of course, father.) My eyes met with his and I sat up, "Ana mana care- ni owe sina omentie?" (To what do I owe this meeting?) I spoke, Lyrei stopped behind her father and looked at me and smiled containing her giggle. "You speak our tongue?" He shut the door as he said. I had learned their language when I was younger as I spoke to a few Elves over the years. "I learned out of necessity, yes, I understand you want to protect your daughter, but I will not bring harm to her or your village." I spoke as I rose from the bed onto my feet. He knitted his eyebrows and glared at me, "You humans are all the same, you say you want peace, or you mean no harm. Yet your kind always bring death and destruction." I walked over to a table where my clothes were and started dawning them once again, "I don't care what happened to you in the past to cause you to hate humans as much as you do. I may have a human body and appearance, but do not call me human or relate me to that deplorable race. I never once thought myself as human."

I finished dressing and turned to the elf and could see the bewilderment in his eyes at my previous words. I chuckled and said, "I know you can't understand my words, nor do I expect you to." I began to walk to the door and fury flashed in my eyes as I spoke my next words, "Humans took everything I ever cared about. I know what destruction you speak of. But those men are dead now, and will never see this world again." I opened the door and left the elf in the room alone. I left the house quickly and started to make my way out of the village. As I was about to enter the tree line a soft voice stopped me in my tracks, "You're leaving?" I turned to see Lyrei standing a few paces from me. I looked down, "Yes, my presence is both unwanted and unneeded. Thank you for finding me and treating my injuries. But I must go now." I turned back to the trees, "Please don't go. I want to know more about the world outside this forest. Please stay." I stood there for a moment and turned back towards her. "Trust me, my presence only brings death, for I am like no other." Her face showed a puzzled emotion as I said those words. "What do you mean?" I looked into the sky and a small smile formed on my face as I recalled my fond childhood memories. "Because of who my father was. I will never be safe, nor anyone around me." Her father was rushing towards us as he heard my words, "So you're a Prince of a human kingdom?" My eyes glinted like a burning fire as those words entered my ears, "My father was Yoljun. I never belonged to any kingdom, nor will I ever." As I said that name the elf man realized why I didn't consider myself as human. I was a rare being. I may have been born as a human, but I was raised by a dragon, and not just any dragon. "The King of the Fire Dragons." The elf muttered as realization set on his face.
