15 The Imperial Decrees

Everyone in the main hall was hoping that the imperial decree will sign the waste girl's death. They had all heard what Wu Shuyu had done and now every time they left the General's Manor they would be openly laughed at and talked about by the masses. Now they were all eagerly waiting to see who Wu Shuyu had offended and what kind of punishment she would be getting. Not one of them had ever thought that she might be getting something other than a punishment.

Only General Wu had a feeling, a gut feeling this decree was no punishment. What it was he did not know. Because of not knowing his thoughts were a mess right now. He looked over at Wu Shuyu and said: "Yu'er stop standing there and accept the decree."

Wu Shuyu looked at General Wu and sneered. 'Calling me so affectionate all of a sudden. This father of hers really knew how to act in front of other people.' Wu Shuyu ignored General Wu and walked forward and knelt down to the ground. All those present did the same. Although she hated doing such things as kneeling to someone. Until she had enough power she would have no choice but to grit her teeth and do so. Unfortunately, her face gave her away.

Seeing the unwillingness to kneel on Wu Shuyu's face caused Eunuch He to laugh inwardly. 'This First Young Miss is just like the Prince!' Eunuch He, then looked at the people of the General's Manor and an idea came to his mind. He smiled and looked deeply at Wu Shuyu saying: "Why are you kneeling there is no need for you to kneel please stand up. You can receive the decree while standing."

Wu Shuyu was stunned but when she saw the glint in Eunuch He's eyes she knew that he was on her side. So without standing on ceremony she quickly stood up. She then gave a slight bow to Eunuch He as to say thanks. The rest of the General's Manor saw Wu Shuyu stand up so they started to stand up to but what they heard next made all their faces turn black!

"Why are you all standing? Quickly kneel while the First Young Miss receives her decree. His Majesty said only the First Young Miss does not need to kneel." Eunuch He said in a mocking tone.

All the people of Genera's Manor except Wu Shuyu was stunned stupid. General Wu himself wanted to rip this damn Eunuchs mouth right off! 'Say that from the beginning instead of being so damn ambiguous!' This is why General Wu hated Eunuch He the most. He was nothing but a servant but because he was the Emperor's personal servant he could act so willful that it made those in court want to chop him into a million pieces! Another reason why was because the damn Eunuch always targeted him! He had lost count on how many times he had lost face because of this damn Eunuch!

Seeing the contorted look on General Wu's face caused Eunuch He to smile brightly. He returned his attention to Wu Shuyu, a servant handed him the imperial decree which he untied and unfurled. He opened his mouth and shouted out: "By His Majesty's decree, Wu Shuyu the First Young Miss of the General's Manor shall be betrothed to the Third Prince of Cloud Country, Prince Jei. The wedding day will be set for the day the First Young Miss reaches the marriageable age of fifteen. In accordance with this betrothal, First Young Miss of the General's Manor will now, from this day forward, will be known as Princess Xiannu. His Majesty heard from Prince Jei that her beauty is unparalleled within all of Cloud Country making her the most beautiful person under the stars. Anyone who tries to claim this right will be sentenced to cutting at the waist! Hence the name Princess Xiannu being bestowed on to the First Young Miss of the General's Manor. His Majesty also decree's that from this day forward that Prince Xiannu will no longer need to kneel to anyone under the heavens. " Eunuch He lowered the decree and started rolling it up. He looked at Wu Shuyu and said: "Does Princess Xiannu accept this decree?"

Wu Shuyu from start to end was dumbstruck! She had no idea any of this was going to happen. But she had to give it to her future husband he really knew how to act. It was just last night they had gotten together and now she was already engaged to him. This worked well in her favor. especially all the extras like the princess title and special considerations. But for some reason, Wu Shuyu felt that Feng Jei and the Emperor were probably doing all this because they found it funny. Especially the whole greatest beauty in all of Cloud Country thing! Many questions plagued Wu Shuyu's mind. Pushing her thoughts to the back of her head, Wu Shuyu gave Eunuch He a smile as she said: "Yes Princess Xiannu accepts the Imperial Decree. Long live the emperor and such..." Wu Shuyu had no idea how to accept some Imperial Decree. But her words just made Eunuch He chuckle. If it was anyone else he would have screamed out in rage calling her impudent and having her dragged off to be beheaded. But such was not the case for Wu Shuyu.

Eunuch He, found this new princess very interesting. He could see why Prince Jei fell for her. Clearing his throat Eunuch He clapped his hands and another scroll was brought forward. "Now the next decree is for the Third Young Miss of the General's Manor! Third Young Miss please step forward and accept your decree."

Wu Mei stepped forward and knelt to the ground she had made sure to send Wu Shuyu a hateful glance as she passed her. She could not believe this trash was given the title of Prince Xiannu! She was much more beautiful than the damn waste and also a genius at cultivation! Why did the Emperor favor her so much!?

Eunuch He, looked at Wu Mei and sneered inwardly. But on the outside, he had a bright smile on his face as he loudly shouted out: "By His Majesty's decree, Wu Mei, the Third Young Miss of the General's Manor, from this day forward, will receive thirty lashes from a whip by one of the palaces grannies every day at midday. This is punishment for having sex with a random beggar in some alley in the city and thoroughly enjoying it. Your screams of pleasure have disturbed the citizens within the capital and His Majesty has received many complaints on this matter. The thirty lashes will be done in front of the General's Manor main gate to appease the citizens of our great Cloud Country. The Third Young Miss must receive these lashes in the nude with a sign around her neck saying "I, Wu Mei, the Third Young Miss of the General's Manor, am a dirty pig who loves nothing more than to be slammed from behind by a huge beggar dick"! Third Young Miss Wu Mei please receive your decree!"
