36 Emperor Feng Yang Strikes Again! Part Two

Emperor Feng Yang looked at the two who were kneeling. Five minutes passed. Ten minutes passed. Emperor Feng Yang furrowed his brow. Imperial Concubine Xin and Prince Long both felt their knees were going to go numb as they waited for Emperor Feng Yang to allow them to rise. But soon twenty minutes had passed and Emperor Feng Yang was still quiet. Imperial Concubine Xin couldn't really hold on any longer so she decided to take a quick peek to see what was going on. But when she raised her head she almost choked on air because Emperor Feng Yang was sound asleep! There was even a bit of drool rolling down his chin!

Feng Jie who was standing next to Emperor Feng Yang looked as cold as ever as he looked at the two still kneeling. Seeing that they were on the verge of falling over Feng Jie finally opened his mouth and said: "Father Emperor has not had his nap today so please just wait a little longer. He usually wakes up within three hours or so."

Both Imperial Concubine Xin and Prince Long's faces paled! 'Why the hell did he call us here if he was just going to take a damn nap! At least let us stand while we wait!'

The Emperor said that the Princess must make sure to strip everything from the person she is extorting from now on or she will receive a fine! Princess please receive the decree and pay the fine!"

But to Eunuch He it seemed more fun to play along so he said in the most concerned voice "If this is the case then Princess we will not take your five silver and report back to His Majesty that Princess is too poor to pay the fine and that her loving and caring fiance, Prince Jie will be more than happy to pay the fine for her."

Wu Shuyu smiled and nodded her head. "Un! Yes, I'm way too poor. Very poor. I mean this Princess has trouble eating as it is… The General's Manor does not even send food to my palac… run down courtyard…. I thank Eunuch He for your care and concern."

"Of course, Princess we will take our leave now." After finishing up his words Eunuch He turned and walked away.

Bai Fu, who had finally finished laughing walked up to Wu Shuyu and asked: "Yu'er is it okay to do that? Wouldn't this be defying an imperial decree?"

"Huh? This Princess did not defy anything. This Princess accepted the decree but this Princess is very poor so this Princess must have this Princess's fiance foot the bill." Wu Shuyu said bluntly.

Back in the Imperial Palace Imperial Concubine Xin and Prince Long were both still kneeling waiting for Emperor Feng Yang to wake up. It had been almost an hour since they had arrived and they both had almost fallen over quite a few times. When they thought they could not take it any longer the door to the hall swung open making a loud sound. Emperor Feng Yang who was taking a nap, eyes opened up as he screamed "Assassin! Quickly protect us!" Many shadow guards came out of nowhere and surrounded the Emperor!

"Father Emperor relax it is just Eunuch He." Feng Jie said as he waved his hand dismissing the shadow guards.

Eunuch He walked right past Imperial Concubine Xin and Prince long completely ignoring them. He walked in front of Emperor Feng Yang and said: "Your Majesty, this one sent the decree to Princess Xiannu as you have asked."

Emperor Feng Yang's eyes lit up as he shouted: "Good! Quickly! Give us our share of the loot."

"Your Majesty, Princess Xiannu said because she is too poor she is unable to pay the fine. Princess said that she has had a hard enough time even feeding herself since the General's Manor will not even send food over to her palac… run down courtyard. She said that your Majesty can ask her loving and caring fiance, Prince Jie for the payment for the fine. This one saw how pitiful Princess looked and could not find it in this one's heart to take what little money Princess had. So this one did not push the fine." Eunuch He stated.

*Pfft!*

Prince Jie, someone who normally had a cold expression on his face at all times burst out laughing. "Hahaha Father Emperor, Yu'er got you good!"

Emperor Feng Yang who was doing his best to hold back his own laughter glared at Feng Jie as he said: "You dare laugh at us!? Then we will triple the amount of the fine for Jie'er to pay!" Although his words were supposed to act as punishment the stupid silly grin on his face made the so called punishment seem like a joke.

Wiping the tears from his eyes, Feng Jie pulled out fifteen silver and handed it over to Emperor Feng Yang saying "If that is what Father Emperor wishes then this son will happily hand over fifteen silver."

"Un! That is good! Jie'er we do have to say that Jie'er's little wife is very good! We can fully relax knowing that Jie'er has such a wife by his side." Emperor Feng Yang said with a smile on his face. He really did like Wu Shuyu. She fit in well with his own personality as well as his sons. "Eunuch He did you send out the invitations yet for the banquet?"

"They will be sent out tomorrow your Majesty." Eunuch He replied.

"Good! We can not wait to meet our daughter in law." Emperor Feng Yang said as she nodded his head. "By the way Jie'er I must ask you something."

"Yes, Father emperor?" Feng Jie knew something even more amusing was about to happen when he heard the tone in his father's voice.

"Who are these people who have been kneeling here this entire time?" Emperor Feng Yang once again furrowed his brow as he looked at Imperial Concubine Xin and Prince long.
