19 Betrothal Gifts Part Two

Wu Shuyu's eyes showed a hint of excitement as she looked up at Feng Jie. "What else is there?"

"Listen carefully. Do you hear that?" Feng Jie said with a smile.

Wu Shuyu and even the rest of the General's Manor went quiet. Off in the distance, the sound of hammering could be heard. The direction the sound was coming from, was her courtyard! Wu Shuyu looked up at Feng Jie, questions marks could be seen over her head.

Feng Jie let out a light laugh as he said: "You will see later, for now, let's finish the betrothal gifts I have brought for my Yu'er."

Wu Shuyu nodded as she turned her attention back to Eunuch He. Feng Jie gave Eunuch He a nod telling him to continue. Eunuch He cleared his throat as he once again shouted out. "The betrothal gifts from Prince Jie to Princess Xiannu are as follows. One white jaded bed to match the princess's perfect skin. To match the bed a white jaded desk, drawers, table, stand, chairs, and other furnishings to make a complete set. So far just from what was already announced out loud made all General's Manor's people mouths drop. Each of these items was very precious and would be fought over by the Empress and concubines within the palace when they became available! Some of Wu Shuyu's sisters were now coming up with plans on how to suck up to their dear sister. If Wu Shuyu knew about their thoughts she would most likely frown before extorting them and then beating them up.

But had to pause due to too many chests filling up the main hall of the General's Manor. Feng Jie waved a hand and said: "Skip down the list first and bring in the people."

Thirty five people came forward and entered the main hall of the General's Manor. This entire time Wu Shuyu had been stunned silly. She never expected to get so much stuff for a betrothal gift! Her big thigh was actually really really huge! And now seeing all these new servants and shadow guards she was at a loss of what to do! She did not have that much room in her courtyard!

Seeing the shocked look on his little things face made the corners of Feng Jie's lips rise. He patted her on the head before passing down an order. "Take these things to Princess Xiannu's courtyard. The shadow guards will stay to guard them."

Once the order was passed down the maids and shadow guards went right to work. Since they were all highly trained and their martial arts was good it took them no time at all before the whole main hall was cleared out. Once the last chest was carried out the shadow guards did not return to the main hall only the maids did. The shadow guards stayed to watch over the chest so no one would get any ideas.

Feng Jie looked at the now empty hall as he nodded his head in approval. Once the chests piled up again the maids worked quickly to take them down to Wu Shuyu's courtyard. Finally, everything on the list was read off. Wu Shuyu was a little worried now that she had all this stuff and no place to put it all. She looked up at Feng Jie who happened to be looking down at her and gave her a knowing look as he said: "Now it's time to see what that noise was."

Feng Jie took Wu Shuyu's hand and walked with her towards her courtyard. Leaving the rest of the General's Manor kneeling on the ground. Seeing how the prince did not allow them to get up Eunuch He simply said: "Best stay kneeling until the Prince returns. There is no telling how many will lose their lives if you get up before he returns." After saying these words Eunuch He scurried along to catch up to Wu Shuyu and Feng Jie.

When Wu Shuyu reached her courtyard the sounds of hammering and sawing could be heard. Qin Ming saw her Young Miss and quickly ran over to her, completely ignoring Feng Jie's presence.
