We meet again.

I'm a fan of horror and thriller movies so I decided to watch the "Halloween". I remember Kam asking permission to come with me so I sent a message on Messenger if he still want to come.

'I'd love to, see you tomorrow' - his reply

Oh okay, I thought he won't. And anyway, why do I feel a bit nervous. Ah! I'll sleep then before my mind gets ahead of me again and lets me think of despairing thoughts.

'Hey, let's just meet by 5 p.m., the movie starts at 6 p.m.' I sent it to him.

'Sure, that's great, I just woke up a while back'

'Really? It's past noon already'

'It's weekend so I guess I deserve some sleep'

'Haha, okay, sleepy head'

'And you? What time did you wake up?'

'Around 10 this morning'

'That's early'

'It's kind of late. And anyway, I'll read for a while, chat you later'

And 2 hours passed. I went to take a bath and spent like 30 minutes deciding what to wear. Oh my goodness! It's as if I'm going on a date.

Nah-ah! This is not a date. He just wants to meet and I'm just allowing him some time to go out and think of non-work related stuff. We're just high school batch mates meeting again. Okay! That's it.

So I decided on the black dress and my leather jacket and sneakers. I look like some rockstar-wanna-be and well, anyway, that's all I have in my mind right now to wear. Let the one who sees me have a headache. Haha. Just kidding.

'Are you there already?' his chat question

'Almost, and you?'

'Half an hour or less than 30 minutes, I guess'

'Uhm, that's a long bit of time'

'I'll be there on time'

'Okay, you say so'

About 10 minutes, I arrived at the mall and as I was heading up to the Cinemas, he called me on Messenger.

'I'm already here, 1st floor'

'I thought you still have less than 30 minutes, did the car sped off like cheetah?'

I heard him laugh.

'Yeah, maybe, where are you?'

'On the elevator, 3rd floor, I'll head to the Cinemas, meet you there, then'

'Sure'

I ended the call and about 2 minutes, I'm on the fifth floor at the Cinemas, I bought two tickets and was about to send Kam a message when somebody held me by the shoulder and said 'Hi'.

Like what the! Oh, okay, I was taken in surprise.

"Seems like you're the jumpy one" Kam said.

"You just got me by surprise" I said, kind of awkward.

He placed his hand on his side and appeared to be deciding what he'll say.

"Uhm, what's the time of the movie?" he asked.

"6 p.m. and now we have only 20 minutes before it starts" I answered.

"Come, we'll buy popcorn and drinks, then"

"I guess later, after 15 minutes" I said.

"Oh okay."

We went to the railings then faced the ticketing line.

"So uhm, we meet again" he said.

His gaze seems dreamy, well, it appears so for me.

"Yeah, here we are" I said, not really sure exactly what to say, "Uhm, I guess, we'll just buy food and head inside"

"Oh, alright"

Well, that feels strange.

So we bought popcorn and drinks and headed inside. The guard at the entrance even asked our age. Haha. Now, do we look like teenagers?

Yeah well, the movie is rated R-18. But the humor, I don't exactly look like I'm under 18 nor him, too.

Anyway, we're waiting for the movie to start and I feel like someone is staring at me. I look at my side and saw him looking.

"What?" I asked, smiling.

"Uhm, nothing" he said.

Oh, great! Saved by the movie. It started. After about an hour and almost a half, we were outside. We were deciding where to eat but both of us don't feel hungry. We seated ourselves on the floor facing the mini-children's playground at the same floor as the Cinemas. And I found myself talking about some of the events that happened to me. It's like I'm reading a book that is about me and story telling it to him like some bedtime story. Well, he told me about his work and how tiring it is.

Kam is a certified public accountant, by the way. He's based at Malierr but has clients here at Tellif.

"I'm sorry, I bet you got bored with my life stories" I said.

"Uhm, on the contrary, I enjoyed hearing it"

"Like some entertainment?"

"Sort of, but you kind of really trust me for telling me all that"

"I can't say I trust you, cause I just met you again, after some years" - paused - "or maybe, it's just that"

"Well, I'm not gonna tell anyone, since I don't exactly have anyone to tell those to."

We decided to go to the café. Had some pastry and of course, coffee while still having a conversation. Well, we have some silent minutes cause I feel like I'm not gonna say anything anymore. The café is nearing its closing time so we decided to go outside. It is already past 12 midnight and nearing 1 a.m.

"Are you not going home yet?" I asked.

"And you?" he asked instead, while he is hugging me by the side.

Oh, so look here, I allowed that but it does not exactly mean I am so easily taken. Okay? I defend myself.

So anyway, being close to him like this made us look like some lovers on a date late at night.

"I asked you first" I said, laughing a bit, trying to ease the mood cause it feels a bit awkward and hot.

"Maybe around 2 a.m. later" he answered, goodness! I can feel his breath on my neck, his almost like trying to kiss me but he is just really close.

So I decided we should take a walk. The air feels cool. And this time does not have so much people around. We don't know where to go next so we decided to walk back to the mall's garden so we can book a Grab and go home. It's easier for pick-up.

While we were sitted, a black cat suddenly came towards us and sitted itself between us. We were a bit surprised but amused. I took a picture of it. Then decided we all have to be in the photo.

By around 2 a.m. we're heading home, well, the GrabCar dropped me first. He held my hand about a couple of minutes before I went out.

I had really a night!

'Thanks for the night, I hope we hang out again' I read his chat.
