Chapter 23: Little chief you are mine.

It was night, Yue Yang was in front of a big building where he sensed the Level 4 Champion presence.

Yue Yang laughed as he pulled up his black mask to cover his face before entering into the Mercenary Guild.

The room was full of mercenaries, but nobody could've possibly known that this masked youth was an Innate Ranker who can kill all of them in a second. They continued to drink and bet as they had been the whole time.

Anyone could tell with a single glance that a person clothed in black with his face covered like Yue Yang was obviously a young man. Nobodies recognized the material of his equipment so they thought they were made cool looking but that all.

Aside from watching over their money more closely, there was no other reaction.

Sweeping the room with his eyes, he quickly found what he was looking for.

The thief was sitting at a table alone drinking.

He approached it.

"Excuse me, is that chair free?" he questioned.

The Thief looked at him with its bright eyes. At the start, she wanted to tell him to scram but then his armor take her attention.

'Dragon leather!'

Then she nodded at Yue Yang who sit in front of her.

Yue Yang looked at her for a moment before saying.

"Can i know what someone like you do in this sort of place?"

He was saying this with a curious smile but too bad that his face was hidden by his mask.

"As you can see, I'm drinking. Perhaps you think a woman can be a mercenary?" She answered hiding her purpose, wary of him.

"Ah sorry, let me reformulate my question. What is a Level 4 Champion like you doing in my city?"

The thief was stunned, the man in front of her was able to guess her Level.

'Who is he? he looks like he has the same age as me but even if he has the same level it should be impossible for him to know...perhaps he's stronger or...is Inherent Skill let him see it.

"Your city? It's a little pretentious, no?"

"No. I'm living here so it's my city. So that a Level 4 Champion come here, it's a little suspicious, especially when that person seems to want to kill someones."

'How did he know?'

"Well, let me formulate a hypothesis.

- You are here to kill someone and as your a Champion, your target should be either a Champion or a hero.

- You aren't twenty years old yet but you already are a Level 4, so you should come from a big clan.

-The ones who are at level 3 and that have some karma with a big clan is the bandits Tie Kuang, Wu Yi, and Xie Huo."

When he says the three name, the bright-eyed thief let out a killing intent.

"You should let your intention be so easily understood, it will kill you in the future."

"And then? Now that you know, what will you do? Stop me?" She questioned, warry.

"Well, you are lucky, I'm just back from a business trip and it turns out that I too want to kill them."

"You will help me?" she demanded with hope.

"Maybe, I don't help strangers for nothing, you know." He says vaguely.

"What do you want from me?"

"Answer one of my questions."

"What is it?"

"Are you from the Valley of Thousand Flowers and Butterflies?"

Shocked by his question she stands up.

"How did you know?" she yelled.

"Calm, you disturb the ambiance."

She looked around her and see that nobodies pay attention to them.

"How?" she says stunned.

"Hehe~ the perfect skill for assassination, don't you think? Useful too for a private talk."

Hearing his word she looked at him again.

"Well, as you are from there, I will assist you or maybe do the thing by myself. But not tonight as I have things to do. If you want to talk to me then find me, it shouldn't be too difficult."

At his words, he disappeared from his chair.
