When they connected, Mac folded her in his arms and bent to take her mouth with his. A swift, incredible need made him dive into their kiss. Afton responded with the same intensity, her mouth just as greedy to explore and savor while her arms curled around him. He reveled in the way her lips felt like cool satin and her tongue tasted like velvet liqueur. She smelled so wonderful, too, of delicate flowers and earthy spices. He dared to slip his hands under her top and caress the soft, tender flesh beneath.

After tugging out his shirt tails, she adroitly unbuttoned his shirt and then brushed her fingers along his sleek, hard chest, making him shiver from her light yet powerful touch.

"Come with me," she whispered when she broke their kiss and took him by the hand.
