5 Chapter 5

Romani or rather Solomon sighed as he was found out already. If there was one thing he was bad at, it was lying. He sucked at lying. All those times Olga would catch him and reprimand him for watching Magi Mari even though he had lied about doing work.

He hated being complete utter garbage at lying. Even more he hated that he had a time limit. He still had to go back to work at Homurahara academy as a doctor/nurse. He would finish this fast.

Just in time another fallen angel appeared in a rushed and laboured breaths. "Kokabiel has started attacking Kuoh Academy!"

Solomon stepped out into the world as he felt the saturation of mana as he started chanting he would finish this in a heartbeat. Azazel being the curious fellow followed to see what magic the King of Magecraft would do.

Solomon turned to Azazel as he scratched the back of his head in a shy manner. "While I understand it would be rude since we just got here but I really need to get back soon as I still need to keep my job. Makeda eventually finished exploring as she turned to watch as Solomon was preparing to use his magecraft.

Azazel was watching with amazement as Solomon first prepared many circles of anti-detection eventually forming a super bounded field. A flare of mana engulfed the surrounding area within the bounded field as Azazel kept his will to continue to stand and watch the feat of the King of Mages.

"Let there be light"

The surge of mana increased twofold as Azazel could only kneel as he slowly got up again, he needed to see this in perfect view.

"Let the righteous tie their Kings with chains and the nobles with iron fetters."

A massive circle appeared in the sky as it located the target. A single small circle laid just above moving to the location of the target's before he moved. Azazel watched in amazement as the magecraft of Solomon was shown.

"Target locked on."

A single line formed on top of the circle as Kokabiel kept trying to avoid it. The rest of the devils were watching in shock as the heat value from the single straight projectile was insane. They instantly retreated further as the line soon finished accumulating heat.

Solomon's eyes opened before he swung his hand down, delivering judgment as the single line instantly struck Kokabiel leaving no trace of his existence. The devils were blown away and burnt even though they were far away from the line.

Solomon sighed before turning around and taking a seat on the nearest bench. This was boring. Looking at the rewards it seemed Makeda had her own quest, and was currently lying on top of a pile of gold with a content face.

His reward on the other hand.

[Parameter Up]

[Jacob's Limbs]

He had heard about Jacob's Limbs in the stories that his father used to tell while he watched the sheep flock around. He always had a soft spot for animals. His endurance and his strength had gone up to [D+] vastly better than E. Jacob's Limbs on the other hand did not suit him yet. He did not have the stat's to use it effectively as in close combat.

He stared at the sky. His eyes desperately trying to peer into the future of another timeline. He cared, more than he showed. He cared for Ritsuka, the young man was full of hope and would always rise back up. Now that he thought about it, didn't he also have a disciple that he taught ages ago?

~~~~~
Ritsuka and the rest of the servants were in a steep decline. They had lost Romani or Solomon forever. He had erased himself from the Throne of Heroes.
The servants always had the impression that everything was his fault, and he was but a spineless coward. Yet the man whom they deemed as cowardly and friendly fool was the bravest in the end.
Ritsuka whispered as he asked the image of Romani on top of the small shrine.
"Til the end you were always laughing, trying to keep the mood up."
"Have you known since the beginning that the day we would part would come?"
And no one answered.
"Now that you're gone, I wish the alarm clock that would annoy me every morning would come back with your voice over the intercom."
And no one answered.
Everyone left a moment of silence before they all departed to do their own thing.
David stayed and stared at the smiling image before giving a somber smile. "Since you kept smiling till the end it's only fair I do the same is it not?"
~~~~~

Solomon sighed before he got up and packed up Makeda's gold into one of her lamps. He turned to Azazel as brown eyes met molten gold eyes. I guess we should go now, I still have to work. Azazel wanted to stop them but in that moment they faded away into golden dust.

"Bah! I should have had him teach me magic."

~~~~~
Solomon found himself in his house again just moments before the clock hit 8AM. He groaned as Makeda went to count her gold while he had to go all the way to school for work. His form shimmered before reverting back to the good old Romani Archaman. Rin Tohsaka was also late this time as she met the school nurse/doctor. "Dr.Romani?" Romani's eyes were droopy, he needed sleep badly, natural sleep, not magecraft induced sleep nor coffee to keep him awake.
Rin had noticed that the doctor was unresponsive as he walked into a metal pole. She quickly decided she wanted non of his situation crisis.
Romani had finally made himself a cup of tea before taking a few sips and falling asleep.
"Dr.Romani!"
His figure shot up as he looked frantically around the room.
"Huh?"
