11 Upgrader
Inside an expensive restaurant four men were sharing a table and eating together. They seemed like a normal group of close friends. Laughing and talking.
Three of them looked completely normal, but the presence of the fourth member makes a person ask, "Are they really normal if they have befriended such a 'Person'?"
The fourth person was an extremely tall man with long silver hair and bright golden eyes. His looks already seemed otherworldly enough, but what really cements the idea would be the two sets of wings on his back that were folded to let him sit down properly.
The other three people were not 'normal' either. They were all S-Rank hunters. The pinnacle of power that everyone dreamed of reaching.
After completing their meal, the four of them kept on talking. An hour later, all of them decided to go back home. They had talked enough.
They separated at the parking lot. All of them going their separate ways. Byeol suddenly noticed the car which was parked beside his own. It was a black sedan. But what caught his attention was the American who was standing in front of the car looking towards him, as if expecting him.
"Mr. Go Byeol. My name is Adam White and I am coming from the American Hunter's Bureau. Can I please have some of your time?"
Byeol would have usually declined such a request. But with him being in a good mood and also curious about why someone from the American Hunter's Bureau would contact him, made him accept the man's request.
Adam thanked him and led him to his car. He nodded his head and sat down in the back seat. Byeol had been training for the past few weeks and was now able to fold and compress his wings into a small space which allowed him to properly sit down on chairs and seats, but it still didn't allow him to wear normal shirts.
After a few minutes, Adam slowed the car down in front of a 5-star hotel. He handed the keys to the valet and led Byeol through the hallways of the hotel. They arrived on the 9th floor which was completely filled with dozens of bodyguards. The Americans had booked the entire floor for themselves.
Adam opened the door of room 907 and led Byeol inside. Inside was the lavish living room of the VIP suit. Byeol sat down on a couch but Adam stood behind him. Byeol was about to ask him what would happen next when the door of the suite opened and a woman walked in. It was a middle-aged woman with dark skin, curly black hair, and bright turquoise eyes. She wore a black-colored jacket over a white blouse and a business skirt.
She sat down on the couch opposite to Byeol and forwarded her hand.
"My name is Norma Selner. Pleased to meet you Mr. Go."
Adam tried to translate what Ms. Selner was speaking to Korean but Byeol stopped him as he was quite proficient in English.
"I am afraid but I might not share the same pleasure. Can you please tell me why I was brought here?"
"Of course, of course~ Tell me Mr. Go, do you think Hunters can go past their own Ranks?"
"... No. Unless reawakened, there is no other way to exceed the rank given to you."
"That is correct. But let me tell you something. My ability. It is called Upgrader." The moment she finished speaking, Byeol's eyes widened in surprise.
"Looks like you understand. I can help other Hunters go past their limits."
Byeol stayed silent for a few seconds before replying, "That is… Something else. You know if this got out then?"
"Of course. That is why she is protected by us. We do everything to ensure that harm doesn't befall Mrs. Selner." Adam replied.
"So, as I was saying. I can help other Hunters exceed their limits through a 3 stage program."
"... By how much can the abilities increase?"
"Till now, it has been a 20 to 30% increase. Though 30% is in extremely rare cases, the 20% is a guarantee."
"That is a lot of power up. But why haven't you used your abilities on all the hunters in the USA? Even a 20% increase for A-Rankers can improve your attack force by a lot."
"It is a limitation of mine. Everytime use my ability, I need to rest a long time before using it again. So extremely few Hunters are given the privilege of being upgraded."
"Hmm. So why have you brought me here and told me about it? I hope it is not because you want me to move to the United States of America."
"It is precisely because of that. We want you in our country. We already have all the documents ready and if you so wish for it, we can take you right now."
"*Sigh* You know who I am right?"
"Yes sir?"
"I am the son of the Chairman of the Korean Hunter's Association. I can't just leave my country and go to the US just because someone told me that they can improve my powers."
"Understandable. So how about a deal?"
"A deal?"
"Yes. As Mrs. Selner just said, it is a three stage process. So Mrs. Selner will perform the first stage right here without any cost. And if you were to become a Hunter of the United States, then we will complete the remaining stages at the earliest."
"Hmm. How much of an increase can we see for the first stage?"
"Approximately 5 to 8%"
"Hmm. Then please let me witness the power of an "Upgrader"." Byeol was a little sceptical of it.
Norma nodded her head and held his right hand.
"Please look into my eyes closely. We will be initiating the first stage."
Norma's body gave out a green coloured aura. The aura turned into small tendrils and entered Byeol's body.
'A hunter with additional limbs but doesn't have a transformation ability. I wonder where he takes his powers from.' Norma thought before entering Byeol's 'soul'.

"Hmm?" Norma looked around herself. She was in what appeared to be a large forest. It was filled with huge trees and dense vegetation.
Suddenly she looked behind herself and was shocked. She could see a HUMONGOUS humanoid creature. The creature looked to be made entirely of fire with huge fiery wings behind his back.
The number of wings seemed to change completely. From 4 wings in one second to thousands in the next.
The humanoid had a flaming sword held between it's arm, pointing the tip downwards onto the ground.
Behind it was a gate of equally humongous proportions. But before she could identify what was on the other side of the gate, it started moving.
The ground shook violently, as it raised its head and looked straight towards Norma.
"LEAVE." It ordered Norma in her head. Immediately her body started turning into dust and disappeared from that forest.

In the real world after Norma used her ability, her eyes glazed over. She was frozen in place but Byeol didn't break eye contact with her, afraid to hamper the process.
*Drip drip* Suddenly small drops of blood started coming out of her eyes, nose, ears and mouth. A second later she lost all strength in her body and fell unconscious.
"What did you just do?!" The bodyguards pointed their weapons towards Byeol who was also as confused and surprised as them. Adam immediately ordered the guards to drop their weapon, as those cannot harm an S-Ranker and can only be able to anger him.
He ordered two healers to immediately heal Norma and escorted Byeol out of the room.
"I think Mrs. Selner is a little sick. She must not have gotten enough rest after the last upgrade session. Can we contact you at a later date?"
"Sure~ Uhm. Please take care of her. I don't know what happened but if you need any help you can contact me. Having her fall sick during my session will make me guilty."
Adam told him to not think much about it. He then asked one of his subordinates to drive Byeol back.

AN: I only got one review yesterday. If I see two more good reviews today I will be posting another chapter.
Also, someone gave a -1 on Esil Radiru and suggested the main Waifu to be Sung Jin's sister. I replied that if going by the current timeline. Then when the MC is almost 30 years old, then Sun Jin's sister would be in high school. I don't think I need to tell you how weird that sounds.
Though I was really thankful to him for suggesting something else. I might do that later in maybe in another fic, not this one.
