Chapter 109- Fourth Floor: Begin!

[...the appearance of thousands of dungeon crawlers left the public order in disarray and pushed the citizens to the edge. None in the world was prepared for such a danger. It was measured that the monsters crawling out of the dungeons were ranging up to S-rank!]

[There was no possibility the hunters assigned at different corners of the world would have been able to tackle those many creatures at the same time. If anything then numerous casualties and massive destruction awaited.]

[However, nothing of such misfortune befell, as, suddenly, all of the inhumane beings disappeared from the face of Earth, simultaneously. It is still a mystery how...]

Jin-Woo sighed as he switched off the TV.

He woke up today, four days later since that incident in the Temple. And the first thing he heard was this massive raid that occurred last night and the existence of humanity was brought under the threat of extinction.

"Hyung-nim...I am sorry I couldn't do anything about this..." Sitting on the stool beside the bed was Jin-Ho who had a regretful look on his face.

His mother was also sitting on the other side, wearing a sad visage just like Jin-Ho.

Jinah along with Il-Hwan left for Japan for obvious reasons. Jin-Woo shared the vision with the shadow he had implanted on his father and saw them currently sitting in a hospital room with many people around.

From what Jin-Woo perceived, Haru wasn't in immediate danger...but his body wasn't responding to any stimulus as well. It was a strange situation where his heart and other organs were working but he was in a comma-like state.

Looking at the guy, Jin-Woo shook his head, "There was nothing you or even I could have done in that situation. What Haru did yesterday was simply impossible for any other hunter to replicate."

Jin-Woo has seen Haru's strength and how he could particularly target specific beings within an area without harming those whom he doesn't intend to.

However, the fact, Haru covered the whole planet within his sphere and eradicated every monster in an instant...no doubt he collapsed.

"Jin-Woo...can't you heal him like you did for me?" Hearing his mother's voice, Jin-Woo extended a warm look in her direction,

"Although I have the remedy of curing any illness, I doubt it would have any effect on Haru."

With his gaze turning a little serious he mumbled, "I, undoubtedly would try to heal him...but for some reason, it feels only Haru can help himself out of this situation."

Just as Jin-Woo predicted, currently Haru was on his path to recovering himself.

As the Goddess told him, Haru had broken his limits and harmed his vessel(body). He needs to recover and heal his brain to return to his body. And to obtain another chance in life he needs to clear the fifth floor of the Gates of Divination.

Currently, sitting in the white room, Haru looked at the system panel in front of him.

[Welcome!]

[Gates of Divination]

[Stage: 4/10]

[Floor name: Purge of the Flesh Eater]

[Difficulty: Very Hard]

[Scenario: Battle of Mugen Train]

[Objective: Annihilate the Third Upper Moon]

[Co-Op: Not allowed]

[Limitation: Fatigue level would be limited.]

[Reward: ???]

[Time limit: 1 hour]

[Preparation time: 30 minutes]

[Good luck!]

...

Haru frowned upon reading the limitation, before his eyes went to a separate bar, highlighting the crown of the panel.

[Fatigue meter: 0/100]

...

He never had such a meter before, since Haru had extreme stamina and he majorly fought using his spells.

However now, he wasn't using his original body and all his skills. The Goddess has limited his skills to only those which solely require his physical prowess.

He couldn't have gotten himself another vessel in such a short amount of time with all his power intact. As such, Haru needed to finish the mission with limited resources.

'That difficulty level...' It was the first time Haru was seen at such a difficult level. Until now, it was either 'Hard' or 'Normal'.

'Given Akaza's power level and his spirit for battle, I couldn't have expected any less.' The tattooed demon was the most enthusiastic and one of the most powerful inhumane in that world.

Although Haru didn't remember all the skills and capabilities of Akaza since it had been a good while since he watched the anime, he was sure that this demon was going to prolong the battle for sure.

However, Haru couldn't afford to let the fight go more than an hour. The time limitation wasn't there just for the show.

'But system...what about Rengoku?' Haru remembered that Rengoku delayed the fight until it was time for the sunrise. The Flame Hashira fought really well in that battle but ended up dying because of clear differences in strength level.

Haru waited for the system to reply with a solution, but even after waiting for some minutes, nothing showed up.

'It means, I have to interrupt them and claim Akaza's life.'

It wasn't an easy task to convince Kyojuro to back off and let him deal with the devil. Especially when Haru had so little time to finish the mission. However, he didn't have any other choice. He has to do everything within an hour and conquer the fourth floor.

This was his last chance. If he fails here then the Goddess also wouldn't be able to save Haru from meeting his ultimate demise.

Everything depends on how Haru handles these two floors.

'Wish me luck Jinah...' Seeing the picture in his locket, Haru took a long breath. The smile she wore in the picture, greatly helped Haru to calm down.

'Now let's see...'

The hunt on the fourth floor begins!

A/N:- I hope you guys liked this idea. True swordsmanship could be portrayed in the Demon Slayer verse.

The next floor is planned as well, but if you have ideas please let me know.
