13 Preparation Before Kamish

Kara's POV

Ever since my 12th birthday passed, the months after that, I kept sensing the west coast of a gathering in magical energy.

I'm highly sensitive to magical energy, so I can sense when and where a gate is forming. And I have sensed the gathering of potent amounts of it on the west coast, just recently.

If my estimation is correct, the gate will form within a week's time. Dungeon breaks occur when a gate isn't cleared within a weak, giving me two weeks' prep time.

Am I confident in beating Kamish alone? Not sure, I have never really tested how strong I am.

With all the books that I have read over the years about monster biology, one thing is common between them all. Dragon scales are highly resistant to magic.

In short, will the fight against Kamish still be a hard one? Absolutely.

Right now I just finished carving an enormous summoning circle; the summoning circle is meant to summon a Dragon that is closest to my attribute.

From mythical books and legends, Eastern Dragons have powers that are more inclined towards manipulating nature. While they inclined Western for power.

Western Dragons are the ones known for their destructive tendencies, while Eastern Dragons are calmer and depicted as blessings.

When everything was ready, I began pumping my magical energy into the massive summoning circle.

For added details, I'm somewhere in a deserted place around the Western Coast. Preparing if ever this dragon is malicious, or freedom-seeking.

Wouldn't want it to rampage near my house now, would I?

*Shine!*

Like a charm, the summoning circle worked perfectly and opened a massive gate enough for summoned to travel through.

What appeared from the gate was a massive and majestic white angelic dragon, scales that glisten like snow, sharp claws that threaten to rip through anything, a body that screamed power, horns that adorned like a crown of gold, four sets of massive angelic wings that can create a storm, a thick scaley tail. And finally, eyes that radiate a blue glow.

The dragon spread its feathered wings and brought itself into the sky and slowly focused its sight on me.

"Los hi fin gein daar beel zu'u? (Are you the one that summoned me?)" the dragon spoke slowly, but with power reverberating in his voice.

'Oh wow, this summon can speak!?' I thought and was stunned, but only for a while.

'I'm glad that I have auto-translation on at all times' I praised myself but was not familiar with the language that is used. However, with auto-translation, I can understand the meaning.

"Zu'u los. (I am)" I responded, but with the help of magic. As I spoke, my voice deepened with the help of magic, sounding with pride and power.

'Isn't this like the Thu'um from the Elder Scrolls? But it isn't yet since none are using energy to empower their voice,' I thought to myself but quickly pulled my attention towards the dragon.

The dragon opened his eyes wide in surprise, "Hi tinvaak fin dov pruzah (You speak the dragon well)" he responded.

'Well, I don't want to tell you that I'm just using a translator...anyway,'

[AN: Just think they're speaking Dragon language from this point on]

"To summon me, one needs power. To tame me, untold strength is needed. To Befriend me, the heart is used, not the mind," the dragon spoke but continued, "Which of the three does summoner require?"

Hearing this, I smirked, "Why choose one when I'll do all three!" as I mentioned this, I started revolving power all around me.

I wasn't going to use Enkidu, as it might be viewed as an external source of power.

The dragon was obviously amused, "HAHAHA, HUMAN...No...you aren't...you amuse me, then let us see if your words truly carry power!" as he said this he turned his head to the skies and used the real Thu'um!

"STRUN BAH QO (Storm Call)" immediately as he shouted, I was somewhat staggered, and the skies rained and swirled.

'Tsk, so much for his angelic appearance!' I cursed at the thought of him just agreeing.

"[Future Sight]" a spell that lets me see a dozen seconds into the future, could see further but the energy usage is nothing to scoff at.

*Rumble!*

*Bang*

I moved swiftly to my left ever so slightly, and a strike of lightning struck where I stood.

"At least, I know now it worked. Time for the offensive!"

*Shine~*

An array of spells appeared behind me, each having their own attribute. Light, darkness, and the basic elements to complex lightning.

Before the spells even struck, I moved on to physical magic. Attacks induced by magic were apparently not effective, but still did damage.

Well, that was the future sight that I saw, him still standing.

*Boom~!*

"Not very effective, I give praise for feeling something" he spoke, almost mocking but was actually a praise.

When my spells hit, I already finished casting another spell, one that was effective.

*Bang!*

Though, I have to move constantly with all the lightning strikes firing at me; the spell I used next was Gravity Magic.

His scales may highly be resistant to magic, but can still be affected.

"[Gravity: x200]" as the spell activated, the coiling dragon in the skies dropped like a sack of potatoes.

*CRASH!*

"*ROARRRRR!* [FEIM]!" the dragon, obviously he was mad and quickly changed into an ethereal form to not be affected by the gravity.

I didn't bother continuing the attack and instead focused on charging another volley right when he exits that form.

'Who said use power that I know of?'

"I commend your prowess, but it isn't enough," he spoke and slowly returned to a physical form.

Right as he returned to normal, I allowed the charged up spell to activate. Though it didn't serve to attack, it was used to disrupt the senses.

The spell started releasing a thick white fog, it'll disrupt magical energy, scent, and maybe even sight.

"Petty tricks, [LOK VAH KOOR]!" as he released a loud shout; the fog started dissipating, but was stunned when it was cleared.

A barrier in the shape of a massive fist came out of the dissipating fog and struck the Dragon right in the face, catching him off-guard.

There were numerous of these 'hands' and some even grabbed onto the horns of the dragon, forcing it down.

"[Gravity: x300]" with the addition of this, the dragon was forced onto the ground, bounded by hands.

"This doesn't hurt the slightest," he said, but I simply smirked at his words.

"I know. But this can, [Heavenly Strike: 30%]" as I said this, my wings flurried out of my back, showing four majestic platinum white wings in its glory.

Yes, I got my second set of wings on my 12th birthday, truly a present.

The halo on the side of my head, with its unique pattern - started rotating and enlarged itself into the sky. Golden lightning started crackling from its activation.

The halos of Flugels is the magic spell for [Heavenly Strike], this is why it's a racial ability.

The dragon that was pinned down by my spells was now panicking, probably felt the immense amount of mana being gathered.

He may be highly resistant to magic, but that doesn't mean immunity.

"I ACCEPT TO BE UNDER YOU, BUT I WILL FACE THIS ATTACK WITH PRIDE! [MUL QAH DIIV]!" he shouted once again, this time it covered the entirety of his body in a translucent dragonic armor.

"Very well!" I allowed and unleashed the spell, 30%.

Well, that 30% isn't as powerful as the ones from NGNL, but still plenty powerful.

*RUMBLE!*

*BEAM!*

BOOOOOOOM!

When the strike landed, everything within the vicinity turned white due to the explosion.

The blast struck the dragon and his armor; the weight of the attack greatly slammed him into the ground.

When the attack faded, a bloody and battered Eastern Dragon was revealed.

"I better heal you quick; I can sense people rushing here already," I said and looked at the work I just did.

"Your name will be..."
