Halloween Special (Late)

AN: Some had qualms that Kara was a bit too overpowered, and they gave proper reasons, saying that it might just turn out like the MHA storyline.

I changed Kara's divine energy to magical energy, and another thing to note is that Kara isn't near-invulnerable to attacks like the Flugels in NGNL.

The simple reason is Kara being VASTLY younger; Flugels in NGNL are thousands of years old. From my understanding, when the Great War happened, a vast majority of them were at least centuries years old.

And those Flugels were at constant war with different races, whereas Kara is in no threat.

Kara, from her past life, was 18-ish and now is 8-ish, so don't think that she's capable of tanking shots right from the get-go. She's far too young.

By the way, the idea from Xie_Tan of going to other worlds was pretty neat. Solo Leveling is connected to various monsters that originated from different worlds. Destroyed ones.

_______________

[After Some Months]

After some months have passed, Kara has finally received her monster corpse that could regenerate itself.

They found its regenerative abilities after witnessing it heal after a bombardment of spells.

It was a Kraken-like monster near the oceans of Japan; This was when Thomas heard of its ability and was immediately interested.

The monster was B-Rank, but S-Rank in difficulty due to it being in large bodies of water.

It took the combined strength of multiple ice mages to hold it in place; yet could escape fairly easily.

This was when Thomas volunteered to capture the beast; It elated the Japanese government to hear the news.

However, his condition was him receiving the monster's body while the government keeps the core.

Since the monster was terrorizing shipping routes, the government readily agreed. The monster's body also held not much crafting materials, but Thomas knew better.

Thomas knew the potential of his daughter's research, and if she succeeds, then it's an easy win-win. Also, wanting to gift it to his daughter.

Thomas caught it by using his skill, [Capture], if he had used it with [Reinforcement] it would reach almost a black hole's potency.

[AN: That's a fact in Light Novel and Manhwa, pretty strong.]

The monster itself was pretty easy to kill, but Thomas had to kill it with a gentle touch. He didn't want a ragged monster body for his daughter.

And here we are now, with Kara trying to revive it.

Before a body came, Kara built herself a laboratory within the forest near their house. This is where Kara keeps all her books now, too.

Kara ended up being too lazy to create a tree as her shelter, instead she erected a magical barrier. The barrier feeds off of the mana in the air; it was plenty strong to tank a few shots from an S-Rank Hunter.

The barrier creates a controlled environment; perfect for Kara's experiments.

[Kara's POV]

"Hmmm, with this self-created spell of mine, it should work; I hope so," Kara mumbled as she held the intricate magic circle within her palms.

But to prevent a mishap; I went and experimented on other monster corpses.

If a random person were to stumble upon this, they might just piss themselves.

The Flugel physique may have influenced me more than I thought, always curious.

Finally stopping before a dead werewolf-type monster; I slapped its chest with my spell.

The spell stuck itself into the chest of the monster, and I cast a spell into my eyes. I could now see the insides of the beast.

You see, from the book "Monster 101" they stated monsters need magical energy to live and survive.

The spell had a built-in rune that would allow the one cast upon to absorb mana from the air, just enough to live.

After a few moments, I could now see the magical energy flow within the monster and slowly make its way to the heart.

*Thump*

*Thump*

"Ha... haha... HAHAHA! IT'S ALIVE!" I cackled madly at my success.

I then waited; I was making sure that its body is the only thing alive, not the soul.

And sure enough, it was a success!

I went and redid the spell and walked towards the Kraken-like monster; it was probably the size of a house.

Before I slapped the spell, I edited the spell so that it could absorb more ambient mana. I didn't expect a monster this big, is the reason.

And without suspense, the monster's body got revived. However, I had to cast a few spells on it since it was reeking of fish.

In my laboratory, there were large vats and numerous pipes; I would use the vats as storage while the pipes transfer the blood to another vat.

Within the pipes, it has various runes that would clean the blood of harmful substances.

Monster parts are non-edible for human consumption, the monster meat will give you a stomachache.

With everything ready, I injected a pipe into the monster and it started harvesting blood at a steady pace.

The only troublesome thing is to find test subjects who're willing to ingest my creation.

I looked all over my lab, but there were only monsters here.

"The book did say as long as the creator could remove all of a monster's essence, the potion would be safe to consume.

If not, the effects would develop slowly and the affected would start having animal-like behavior. Depending on the animal blood used." I mumbled.

I shrugged; with my spells and knowledge of it, I'm sure to remove any such substance.

[1 Hour Later]

An hour later, I had a vat filled with blood. During the process of collection, I was attentively checking the wellbeing of the body.

And the only thing that I had to change was to ramp up the amount of magical energy that gets absorbed.

The next process would be to clean the blood of its monster essence, leaving only the regenerative properties.

It would separate the monster essence in another vat, in which that vat would burn everything inside of it.

[Another Hour Later]

Another hour, I am now staring at a vat that had red substance inside of it.

"So, this is the regenerative properties? But why is there only so little!?" I grumbled.

It only filled 1/3 of the vat, I at least expected half!

Not wanting to wallow anymore, I proceeded with the last steps.

It gets transferred through the pipes once again, but this time, the pipes had runes that infused mana into the substance traveling inside of it.

The final product would then get mixed into another vat of purified water; that was simple enough.

[10 Minutes Later]

Currently, I'm staring at a vat that has a red glow to it. "Are potions supposed to have a red glow? Doesn't this sound like the description of Life Force?" I asked myself.

Deciding to just test it on the "live" werewolf, I took a test tube-filled potion and walked to the body.

Cutting the arm off, I then gave the entire contents of the vial inside of the werewolf's mouth.

Moments later, the werewolf's body started to tremble and rattle.

"Well, that's not good-!?"

*SPLEUCH!*

*SPLAT!*

"I see," I said to myself.

My lab and my entire being got painted in red from the guts and organs.

"[Cleanse]" I said, a helpful cleaning spell.

I went and concluded that I must have missed something when I was reading, well I didn't really complete the book.

[Few Moments Later]

"*mumble*... *mumble*... *mumble*... AHA! When a potion is too mana concentrated, it will release a slight glow to it. To off-set the effect, one just needs to siphon the mana or add more purified water into the batch"

I went ahead and did just that; I mixed in more water since it will give me more to sell.

[Another moment later]

I am in the process of feeding another "live" werewolf once again, though it has a severed arm, just like its previous ten werewolf buddies.

Yep, you heard right, 10 previous werewolf buddies.

And spectacularly, it worked this time!

A soft red glow enveloped the arm, the glow formed into another arm identical to what was severed moments prior.

"From the manhwa it was green, maybe it has something to do with the ingredient used? Truly fascinating!"

I better go to Papa and ask if he has any willing Hunters to try!

[Scavenger Guild's Mess Hall]

*Shiver*

Every Hunter felt their spine shiver, truly a weird event.
