—Next Day—

Hunters Association

I had just walked into the hunters association building and the inside was just like I expected. A very luxurious place with a few people walking around in either a black suite or black business skirts with a black blazer.

I went to the front desk to where a man and a woman sat.

"You must be Mr.Ming-yoo? You can just go up the elevator to the top floor. The chairman should be there with the Chief." The man said. I nodded and went to the elevator.

Once I was in I hit the button for the top floor and waited for a few seconds. The doors slide apart and I saw about 20 or so B-A rank people behind desks and walking around with paperwork in hand.

I walked out if the elevator and turned the corner. I walked down a hall and knocked on a door to the left.

"It's open!!" Go Gong-hee said from behind the door. I opened it and saw the chairman with the chief standing next to him.

"Jin-cheul." Gong-hee said as Woo Jin-cheul took a black box with gold lining off of the desk and gave it to me. I went in and sat on a couch as I placed the box on my lap.

Opening it, there was a tuxedo in blasting at the bottom and on top of it there was some shades and envelope, and another card, but this one was black and gold.

"In that envelope are papers that allow you access across the world for free and you get huge discounts on major consumer items. Any bills are paid off for free and in the case you get fatally wounded and have to retire, there's a retirement plan."

"Along with that you'll have permission to be in anything that pertains this country. Your opinion will also be taken into consideration. Along with that you'll have the right to punish hunters that break the law. With you that shouldn't be a problem." Go Gong-hee said with a smile.

"Inside the envelope is also your badge. With the rank you have it allows you to get into any locked off facilities. Things like military bases and so on." Woo Jin-cheul added.

"Oh, how could I forget that?" Gong-hee said as he massaged his forehead.

"So when do I start?" I asked.

"Tomorrow. It's required that you have a personal vehicle to get around in. Car or motorcycle will be accepted." He stated.

"I see. In that case I'll see you tomorrow."

"Wait, we beed to know what class of hunter you are?"

"Oh, I guess I'm a…mage that can do hand to hand combat and wield weapons. Whatever that is." I said. There was no reason to hide it with these two. Honestly whenever I look at Woo Jin-chuel, I get a bit irritated. He just needed a little push to get to S-rank, but for regular awakened people they can't get stronger.

"I see. In that case we'll see you around 5am." Go Gong-hee said with a smile. I laughed lowly at that and left the building.

(Jin-woo POV)

'If I'm thinking about it, there so no way they would let it slide that an E-rank hunter brought in some artifact to auction off. I'll most likely be accused of something, so I might as well get something like a high rank dungeon on my record.' I heard my stomach rumble for about the 10th time today.

'I wonder if Ming-yoo has to go through this?' I thought as I left my room. I saw Jin-ah on her phone as she walked back into her room with a bowl of cereal.

'How should I feel about this situation though? Actually, I haven't been feeling much of anything. I should've realized sooner that the more times I accepted the status recovery it takes away some of my emotions.'

I went in the kitchen and decided I'd just eat some of my cereal, but when I grabbed the box there was a note on the front.

"Sorry big bro😁"

'A pity this damn system didn't take away irritation!!' I thought as I smashed the box and put it in the trash. I opened the fridge and saw that she had some chicken wings and fries left in a to go box.

I smiled darkly and warmed it up in the microwave. I got a sticky note from the table and put it where the to go box was and wrote a note.

"My bad"

Closing the fridge I heard a laugh coming from her room. Shaking my head I went back to my room.

'I wonder what type of monsters he has in his dungeons. Are they stronger than my current shadows? I'll worry about it later, but I do wonder why he accepted the offer of Go Gong-hee. Wouldn't that slow down his progress or are our systems different?'

(Third POV)

—Next Day—

Ming-yoo woke up right at 5:00am and got in the shower. Afterwards, he did his hygiene as usual and got dressed in his suit and tie along with his dress shoes. Lazily he put on his sunglasses and grabbed his wallet and phone before leaving his apartment.

Yesterday after leaving the association building he saw that there was still time for him to get a car. In the end he decided on the Camaro ZL1 1LE. It was a requirement that he get it painted jet black and so he chose the natural black one.

All he had to do was show the salesman his papers and they didn't ask for a drivers ID or permit.

While he couldn't paint the the car, that didn't mean he couldn't customize the inside. Well he wouldn't do it. After all, he didn't know shit about cars, so it's better to just hire an amazing mechanic to do it.

Getting into the car he started it and turned the seat warmers on. After a moment of waiting he started driving to the association building. Along the way he stopped to get some food, but got there at around 5:30.

Parking his car he got out and saw Jun-cheul smoking a cigarette in front of the entrance. He walked up to him and decided to strike up a conversation. There was barely any cars in the parking lot and the doors were locked, so he couldn't go in anyway.

"How's your morning?" Cheul asked as he blew out a puff of smoke.

"It's peachy perfect. Waking up at 5 in the morning and waiting for the door to be unlocked. Just great." He said with a yawn.

To his right Jin-cheul offered him a cigarette from his pack.

"I'm a minor."

"I know. You're 16. When do you think I started?" He said sliding his sunglasses down to look at him. With a sigh Ming-yoo took the cigarette and used [Lightning Manipulate] to creat an arc of lightning between his fingers and lit the cigarette.

"So you can do that?" Chuel asked.

"Yup." Ming-yoo answered. He took a puff before exhaling and asked a question.

"What if you were able to go up a rank? Would you do it or would you rather stay as you are?"

"Are you saying that there a way for me to reach S-rank?" He asked seriously as the cigarette in his mouth hit the ground.

"I don't have a way now, but I just wanted to know. I need more information on re-awakened people and the process to be sure."

"We actually have a file for that. Today you should be getting a private sim card for your phone. Afterwards I'll send it to you." Cheul said.

"Alright. I guess I'll need your number then." Ming-yoo said as he passed Cheul his phone. Afterwards they continued to talk as more people showed up. Checking the time, it was about 7am on the dot as a limousine pulled into the driveway.

Everyone stood aside the door with straight postures and it looked like they went through some military type training. Ming-yoo was about to follow when Jin-cheul held his shoulder.

"Us "right hands" are exempt from these procedure. You in particular don't have to do any of this as long as you continue to do your job." He said.

Ming-yoo nodded as Go Gong-hee got out of the limousine and went to unlock the door. Ming-yoo and Jin-cheul followed him and everyone went after them.

—Chairman Office—

"As Cheul has already told you here's the sim card. With it we can transfer information over to it through a signal. As of right now your phone holds almost all of South Koreas most important plans and secrets. Never let it out of your sight or get taken." Go Gong-hee said seriously. Ming-yoo just popped it into his inventory on the spot.

'Something so important shouldn't even be in my hands unless I need it.'

"Spatial magic!?"

"It's the only spell of that type I know." Ming-yoo said. They both sighed and calmed down.

"As today is your first day, your job is to basically watch for hunters breaking laws and read the incoming dungeon reports. If anything weird happens you will be sent to investigate it." Gong-hee explained.

"So am I sitting behind a desk or actually patrolling?"

"You'll be patrolling with Jin-cheul for today. Watch your phone for incoming reports."

"Got it." Ming-yoo replied with a nod. They were both dismissed as they left the building after getting a cup of coffee from the lounge.
