I exhaled and tightened my grip around Kura. I heard the swooshing of two swords coming down upon me, so I sidestepped one and deflected the other. Another skeleton tried to stab me, so I leaned to the left but I ran right into a wall.
Damn it! I swung Kura to make the skeletons back off. I know I could use [Domain] but I want to fight without the aid of a skill. So I have to focus!
I exhaled again, letting all my doubts and worries leave my body. I focused on the fight in front of me. I could hear the swooshing of a blade from my right side, but it sounded a bit more distant than a right-hand swing was, meaning it was coming from the left hand.
I slipped under the swing and cut the skeleton in half from the waist. One down, four more to go. Two skeletons swung at me so I rolled out of the way, I made sure to tap the ground with Kura to make sure I'm not near a wall.
Now that I was behind those two skeletons, I decapitated them with a leaping swing, leaving two skeletons. One of them tried to stab me again, but I deflected with Kura leaving my left side open.
I knew the skeleton would try to take advantage of this, so when I believed it was close enough, I kicked it away. I then pivoted and decapitated the stabby skeleton and put Kura through the skull of the skeleton I kicked away.

I continued deeper into the cave and slayed a few more skeletons until Punpun blared an alarm louder than the others.
[WARNING! WARNING! D-rank Undead incoming!]
A D-rank? So around the same strength level as me. I heard thundering footsteps heading in my direction and gripped Kura. Since it was in the same ranking as me, I should take this monster seriously.
Once the footsteps got close enough they completely stopped until I heard a deep rumbling voice, "Ya'k un' osh wi nah'ko."
"What? Can you repeat that? But in Japanese?" I think this angered the monster because I heard it growl, "YA'K UN' OSH WI NAH'KO!"
Its deep voice washed over me and I won't lie, I almost peed my pants a little.
'Punpun, can you translate please?'
[Sure thing!]
[It said: "Come no closer or face the wrath of My Lord."]
The wrath of his lord? Who is his lord?
'Punpun, can you translate my words to him?'
[Sure thing!]
"Who is your lord? And who are you?" I asked what I presumed was the giant monster. I heard the monster growl before it spoke, "Jas'in, un' wa'ko, na'h."
["My Lord is the glorious Lich King. I am his humble servant, Jashin."]
Lich King, huh? I'm guessing that I can't leave this place until I kill that guy then, but if his servant is equal to me, then that guy is leagues above me. But, I have no choice, I have to fight.
I gripped onto Kura, "Sorry, I have to leave this place and you're probably standing in the way of that."
"K'un wa." The monster grumbled and I didn't even need a translation for that.
["So be it."]
The monster roared and it felt like I was stuck in time. I heard the monster incoming but my body wouldn't listen to me. I tried to force myself to move but to no avail.
I heard the swishing of his giant blade and once it was coming down upon me, my body regained function and I used [Flash Step] for the first time to evade the attack.
*BOOM*
The Jashin's attack struck the ground and I heard the sounds of rocks flying up. Knowing he would be vulnerable for a brief moment, I used [Flash Step] to get closer and stacked on [Aura] and [Domain].
I could feel Jashin's gigantic body and I went for the killing blow. Despite Kura being incredibly sharp and even sharper with [Aura] stacked on, I couldn't completely cut through his neck and I felt his gigantic hand make contact with my body.
"GUH!" I felt the wind pass by my ears at high speeds and I collided with the nearby cave wall. The most amount of pain I ever felt coursed through my body and I coughed up a glob of blood.
[Damage report! Three broken ribs, multiple torn muscles, multiple lacerations, and a concussion!]

"YES GODDAMNIT!" I hated when this goddamn system beat around the bush.

I felt a glass bottle materialize in my hand I popped the cap open and drank it all. The potion tasted like strawberries and I felt my wounds begin to heal. Just as Punpun said, after three seconds, I was back in tip-top shape.
"Ja'ko." I felt something in the air and my instincts told me to dodge. I rolled over to the left and I felt a chilling wind just barely pass by my ear.
He shot a goddamn ice spell at me! Aren't big monsters supposed to use their weapons only or something? This encounter made me wish I played more video games sometimes.
'Punpun, what's my MP looking like?'
[MP: 65.5/150.5]
Damn, I guess using all of those skills at once really drained my mana. I heard Jashin begin to move, so I activated [Aura] again and used [Flash Step] to close the distance between us.
I knew with him being such a big guy, his attack speed was going to be incredibly slow. I activated [Domain] one more time and I cut the tendons in his legs. I heard him fall to his knees and with the last bit of mana I had, I put all of it into [Aura] and finally decapitated him.

"Haaa...haaa...haaa..." I panted from my lack of mana and the amount of stamina that took. Who knew fighting someone equal to you in strength would be so hard? Once I regained some mana and stamina I walked forward and felt a giant stone door.
[Do you wish to enter the boss room? Y/N]
'Yes.' I heard the stone doors slowly opening and once I walked in I felt a strong force press down on my shoulders and a chilling aura in the wind.

"So the intruder has finally made their way to my throne room. I was expecting Jashin to stop you, but it seems I overestimated him." The Lich King's words alone made me sweat in fear. Along with the fact that I have a 95% chance of dying right now, I can't even scratch this dude!
"No worries, I didn't build my empire without getting my hands dirty. You should be honored, for I, Yashi, The Great Lich King, will be ending your life." The pressure on my shoulders only got stronger and I eventually fell to my knees. I heard his steps get closer and closer and I only got more fearful.
Was I going to die here?
