16 Cha Clan

South Korea, Seoul Incheon International Airport.

It is one of the busiest airports in the world. In fact, the East Asian hub serves close to 71.2 million passengers yearly, putting it at 14th busiest internationally. It was always bustling with people. It was good to see it crowded.

Perseus descended from his father's private plane and entered the 2E terminal. Looking around, he was surprised when he saw the interior.

"Doesn't it seem as good as the San Francisco International Airport?"

"That's right. The Incheon National Airport is considered the best in Korea." The pilot replied as he guided Perseus towards the exit of the airport.

"Where would you like to go sir? I have already arranged a chauffeur for you."

Pausing for a few moments, Perseus realised that he had 2 days left before Sung Jin-Woo entered the Demon Dungeon.

"Hmm… What's the best sword training facility here?"

"Ah! How foolish of me. The famed prodigy of the sword would definitely be interested in the most prestigious sword academy in Korea. I should have informed you once we landed. My apologies."

"But answering to your question, The most prestigious sword academy here is the Cha Clan Sword Sect."

Having never read about it in the novel nor the manga, Perseus was slightly confused.

"Cha Clan Sword Sect? Hmm…. is Cha Hae-in the S Rank Hunter of the Hunters Guild from there?"

Nodding his head, the pilot replied

"Is the young master acquainted with Hunter Cha? She's the next head of the Cha Clan Sword Sect after her grandfather retires."

Finally having understood the situation, Perseus thought to himself

'I see.. So the world has slightly changed. I wonder what else is different.'

"Let's pay a visit to the Cha Clan Sword Sect. Buy some gifts along the way."

Perseus told the chauffeur as he entered the Luxurious Rolls Royce.

With that, the car sped off from the Incheon National Airport and headed towards the Cha Clan Sword Sect.

Halfway through the ride, the chauffeur asked "What would you like to do about the presents that will be given to Hunter Cha and the Swordmaster?"

"Hmm… it would be fine if we gave her that."

'I don't know women well, but…'

Perseus had little to no experience with women in both lives. In his previous life, he was killed by the girl he liked and in his current life, he had been too busy training to even have time for dating. His only experience was to the extent of a short couple of dates.

There's no way she'd be angry if I put this much effort into it right?

"Hmm, it would be fine if we gave her that."

Fortunately, there was a fitting object in Perseus' collection, an item only women could use. The item was an artefact that kept the body warm and protected the holder. It also helped in increasing one's mana.

Moreover, Perseus had no use for the artefact.

It did have a high price tag, but right now, it sat in his treasury collecting dust.

If Perseus gifted that artefact as a gift, it may be enough to convey his sincerity towards Cha Hae-in.

"Are you referring to Heart of Gold? As expected, it seems that you had prepared for this for a long time."

"…I'm just giving her something that hasn't been used… a leftover."

"Heh… I'll think of it as such then," the chauffeur chuckled.

It looked like he didn't believe his words.

Regardless, he needed to establish a good relationship with Cha Hae-In before her meeting with Sung Jin-Woo.

After heading to the guild warehouse in Korea to collect the presents, Perseus headed towards the Cha Clan residence.

As for the Sword Saint, Perseus decided to give him Excalibur, a famed sword that he received from clearing an S Rank dungeon with his father.

The clan home was located in Chungcheong-do. From what he found out, Cha Hae-In would also be there.

Perseus gently dozed off during the ride for a while. The ride too was quiet, like a library because of its smooth ride. When his consciousness came too, he was near the Cha Clan residence.

A larger monument stood at the road leading to the village where the clan home was located.

「The greatest swordsman in Asia.」

「The Sword Saint Cha. ]

They were powerful words and he could feel a vigorating spirit residing within them. Not a single person thought arrogantly of that monument.

The Sword Saint was the one and only greatest swordsman in Asia. Even in the world, and was considered to be at the apex in the way of the sword.

There had been far too many swordsmen from other continents who dared challenge the greatest swordsman in Asia, but all tragically fell to their knees after facing the blade of the sword saint to the point that a shrine was built to honour the sword saint that was akin to some living god. Especially in Korea.

The Cha Clan was regarded as a type of sect. There were many pupils who came to learn the way of the sword and from the moment of the clan's acceptance, they treated them as one of their own.

On the road leading to the Cha Clan's home were several small villages and fields full of rice paddies.

It was said that the villagers treated the swordmaster as a daoist that they respected. It may have been an obvious matter due to the mere fact that several tourists came due to the Cha Clan, which led to a big impact on the development of the local economy.

'This is nice.'

Seeing the serene sight of the countryside made his heart grow warm. Yet, his blood was boiling at the same time.

His hands were itching to test his swordsmanship against the renowned Sword Saint.
