Chapter 3

I'm lucky I switched out with an exploding clone. It took me a while to learn to be able to perform it instantly, but it has surely paid off.

'That's...itachi. How didn't I notice this when he appeared. What's he doing here'

Shisui: Izuna, you can come out now.

'That explains it'

I jump off the tree I'm perched on and land in front of them.

Looking at itachi on a screen and looking at him face to face are two different things. As I stand in front of him only two thoughts go through my mind. One is respect for what he did or will do for the village. The other one is fear, knowing he can kill me anytime he wants.

Izuna: Who are you?

Itachi: It seems Shisui hasn't told you about me.

Shisui: Oi!!!

Izuna: It seems not.

Shisui: Don't ignore me!

Itachi and I turn to give him a blank look betrayed no emotion.

A depressed aura appears around Shisui as he mumbles about mean geniuses.

He quickly recovers however.

Shisui: Izuna, this is my best friend itachi. He wanted to see your skills for himself.

He turned to itachi who still has his blank poker face.

'This guy is like a wall'

Shisui: Now you've seen it what do you have to say?

Itachi this time faces me. It felt like he could see through me. It's a little scary but I didn't turn away.

Itachi: You're good. Why did you hold back.

Izuna: There was no point in going all out. You could easily beat me. The best option was to distract you long enough to retreat.

Itachi then had a serene look on his face. If you look closely, you would see the slight twitch at the corner of his lips.

Itachi: You will make a fine shinobi.

Shisui: Enough talk! Let spar.

Shisui looked slightly eager to fight while itachi still looked completely calm. Damn he's good at that.

They stood opposite each other while I stood on the sidelines.

A leaf falls very slowly from the branch of a nearby tree. They both close their eyes as the leaf falls.

The moment the leaf touches the ground, their eyes shoot open and twin red orbs are in place of the normal black.

As if given a hidden signal they both disappear from their position. I'm almost as fast as Shisui but I can barely see what's happening.

I activate my sharingan to fully observe the fight. When I first awoke my sharingan, i might not have been able to see them. That was then. Now I have a fully matured sharingan.

Although I'm able to see them, I doubt I'd be able to keep up if I was the one fighting. This is the difference between them and me. I still have a long way to go.

When their fight finally ended, they were both clearly exhausted. But they still looked like they could go again.

As they turned to me their eyes slowly widened. I look behind to see what caused that reaction. There was no one behind me. I was confused until I heard Shisui whisper.

Shisui: ....sharingan...

It was my turn to be shocked. I forgot I still had it on. Their shocked expression quickly turned serious.

Shisui: When did you unlock your sharingan?

I could hear the slight tremble in his voice. He probably thought I went through something terrible or traumatic to attain it.

Izuna: A year ago during training.

I answer him truthfully. I don't want to know what would happen if I try to lie my way out.

Shisui: How did it happen?

Izuna: I was exhausted after training my shurikenjutsu. While I was recovering, my eyes hurt. Everything was so clear.

Shisui: It's only been a year and you've managed to achieve a fully matured sharingan.

As he spoke, his voice was filled with slight awe of my accomplishment. He starts laugh.

Shisui: At this rate you'll surpass me before you graduate from the academy. With your peers.

He put a lot of emphasis on the last words.

Izuna: Yes

He keeps on reminding me as if I'm one day just going to break the promise.

Itachi: You aren't in the academy?

Itachi voices out with slight shock in his voice.

Shisui: Nope! And when he enters, he's staying till it formally ends.

Itachi had a small smile and a look of understanding. He about to speak when we were interrupted by a cloud of smoke.

*Poof*

A small dog appeared when the smoke faded away. The dog opened its mouth. Normally when a dog opens it's mouth, it barks but in this case...

Dog: Shisui, Itachi. The hokage wants to see you both in his office tomorrow.

*Poof*

Without warning, it disappeared the same way it came.

Izuna: What was that? Why can a dog speak?

I had to act surprised. That looked like one of kakashi's summons. Shisui laughs a bit before answering my question.

Shisui: That...is a summon. Shinobi can use them for offense or support. Or sometimes just carry reports.

I nod in understanding even though I already know all this.

Izuna: Do you have a summon?

Shisui:Yep! Itachi and I both have the same summons. Crows. Do you want to see?

I nod my head. Shisui grins while going through hand seals.

Shisui: Kuchiyose no Jutsu!!!

*Poof*

A large crow that was almost as big as me emerged from the smoke. Shisui still grinned while the crow and I looked at each other.

Unexpectedly, the crow moved closer to me. At this point even Shisui and Itachi who had been staying silent all this while were curious.

*Poof*

A small poof of smoke appeared in front of the crow. When the smoke dissipated, what is left is a scroll. To be exact, this is the crow summoning scroll. It looked like it was asking me to sign it.

I look at itachi and Shisui. They both shrugged. I opened it and I see Shisui and itachi's name written in blood.

I look back at them. Shisui nods his head and gives a good ahead' gesture.

I poked my finger with a kunai and proceeded to sign my name on it.

When I finished signing it, the scroll disappeared in another puff of smoke. I'm getting annoyed with all the smoke.

Izuna: Does this mean I can summon crows?

Shisui still has a curious face but nods. I couldn't blame him. What happened wasn't exactly normal.

Shisui: Why don't you go home. I'll teach you the hand seals to the summoning jutsu later.

I nod as I turn around and used the body flicker jutsu to make my way home.

Itachi and Shisui could be seen standing at the training grounds. There was silence all around them.

Shisui: I think we both know that what happened was not normal.

Itachi: Indeed. I have no idea what happened...but I know one thing.

He turns and gives Shisui a serious look.

Itachi: He's going to be a strong shinobi. Maybe as strong as Madara if he goes on like this.

Shisui also has a serious expression, but a proud smile could be seen on his face.

Shisui: I can't help but agree with you there.
