26 26. Beautiful Nightmare
Slowly as Jin opened his eyes, the terrain he was in had completely changed. The mountains, forest, and almost all the surroundings had been completely destroyed. Flames burned down the trees, large craters cracked the ground, people and monsters could be seen lying on the ground dead. The nearby kingdom has been destroyed into ruins and many knights suffered from a bloody battle on which none had survived.
'Am I in the aftermath of a war?'
Jin muttered to himself. Looking at the view he was in, the war between neighboring kingdoms seems to have ended in a catastrophe. He tried to look around more but his body constrict him.
'Why can't I move my body?'
He tried his might to even try and move his limbs but it didn't even stride an inch. But then, his head gazed abruptly towards a certain location.
'What the fuck is happening?'
He was confused and trembling. His body didn't allow him to move and it was more like someone was controlling his body but when he looked at himself, he was shocked at what he saw.
'This...this is not me!'
This body he was in looked more muscular, the hair was longer, taller, and more handsome in particular. The man was not wearing clothing on his upper arm showing the chiseled abs and perfect figure while he wore skinny black jeans that made him look like a modern person but it still emitted a medieval vibe.
He held a long sword on his right arm that was almost double his height and size. The sword erupted black ambiance giving off immense pressure to anyone near it.
Far from his gaze, another person was standing on the opposite cliff. This person had almost the same facial features on the man Jin was in except that it had a white and lustrous hair and he wore an eastern outfit.
He held a thin blue luminous sword that released a wonderful golden rays of light. His figure was glowing in bright blue like he was the embodiment of air itself. His facial expressions showed a very angry demeanor causing the nearby gust of wind to spun around him.
"You never learned your lesson brother!"
"Khuaahahaha! You think you can stop me?"
"I can't, but I'll try!"
Boom!
Both of them blasted off from the ground causing the cliff to explode and as they move near to each other, they exchanged powerful attacks with their swords.
Bam! Bam! Bam!....
Each collision of their blades caused a ripple of explosions and waves blasted out from the heavy impacts.
Jin, on the other hand, was trembling in fear. He couldn't keep up with their speed even if his eyes were looking the same as the man. Both executed powerful techniques. They blinked in another direction in just a blink of an eye and their attacks were very flashy.
The man with white hair was super fast that it made him move in a defensive stance. The man with white hair leaped up in the air and the thin sword swirled up the wind making a giant hurricane. He struck it towards him dealing an explosive collision destroying the terrain they were in.
"..!"
The man with white hair had his eyes widened seeing that he was still able to defend the powerful attack. But looking at what happened, the long sword had instantly turned into a giant shield.
This defended the powerful attack and which the heavy outburst of the collision had been completely neutralized by the shield.
Not even a split second, the giant shield turned into a magical staff on which he spun it around like a windmill generating a giant magic circle from his front and multiple magic circles on its side.
"[Collapsing Star, Roaring Cannon]!"
Ghuaaaaahh!!
A giant black beam blasted out from the giant magic circle and multiple purple beams shoot itself on the numerous magic circles blowing away the white-haired man by kilometers.
"[Mana Blade]!"
Twwing!
Thinking that the white-haired man disperses from that powerful blast, he had instantly appear on Jin's behind giving him shivering chills. His thin sword was already on his throat on which it was covered in blue aura before he could even react.
'Shit!'

"Haaaah!"
Jin immediately sat up from the ground he was laying on as he gasped a lot of air and his sweat covered his entire body due to the scary goosebumps he had just felt.
"It's... it's just a dream....phew!"
Thud!
He lied back on the ground trying to reminisce on what had just happened.
'That man that I was inside, I think that was the outcast majesty, and why was he fighting his brother?'
He muttered to himself. He looked at the shade of the tree was lying on as he wonders about that skill the outcast majesty had just performed.
'It was amazing how he could freely change his weapon into any type. I wonder if I could also do that.'
Jin said to himself. He stood up from the ground and stretched out his curled body.
"Oh, Jin! Your awake!"
Scar had just arrived and which he was grabbing a satchel in his arms full of different types of fruits inside.
"Scar! Where have you been?"
"I was checking out this forest and found out something very odd."
"What was it?"
"All of the living beings there seems to be frozen. Not like freezing cold frozen but frozen in time!"
"Yeah, this had occurred when I returned from the temple. Only did I know that everyone had already stopped moving."
"And also, the monsters here seem to turn into dust after death and only the animals didn't."
Now Jin found out that Scar might not know about this ever since he had become a part of the system when he became a soul.
"What are those in your bag?"
"Oh! These are fruits I found after scavenging the forest. They're quite tasty actually and I thought I might bring some when you wake up."
"Wait, how many days passed when I fell unconscious?"
"Days? It's only 20 hours."
"Oh, I see."
Seeing that he had fallen asleep for just 20 hours made him sigh in relief. He was worried about what might happen to Scar knowing that he had only 24-hour duration and he will return back inside the amulet.
He looked at the remaining duration on Scar and it looks like he still has 2 hours left before going in cooldown.
"Here, you can have this."
Scar gave the fruits to Jin which he gladly accepted. He ate a small berry and when he chewed it, the sweet flavor burst on his mouth.
"Mmm~ this is good!"
"Yeah, I know right?"
Jin rapidly ate mouthful of fruits. This was the first food he ever ate after the world had gone in a paused state. Even if he was not hungry, he was also not full so he could eat how much as he want if he wants to.

"Ahhhh, that was good."
Jin burped out after all the fruits have been eaten. As he laid on the tree shade, on his vision, he could see the window notification icon alerting with numbers of notification.

"I need at least a map that will help me escape from here so I can meet up with my mom and show to those pieces of shit hunters that I'm the best so Cursed Gift it is!"
