9 Chapter 9 : The President's Event
11:45 AM in the morning the alarm is ringing.
Draiken" Damnit I overslept, when is that event starting anyways. Mehh let me sleep for a few more hours I'm sure they wouldn't mind right.
He goes back to sleep but then Tim flies by as if he was sleep time traveling.
17:00 the alarm rings again.
Draiken" Why does that stupid alarm keep on ringing.
He breaks it in one hit.
Then his phone rings.
Draiken" Damnit I thought I broke that stupid alarm.
He checks the table for the alarm but stumbles upon his phone.
Draiken" Who calls in the middle of the morning like this.
He answers the phone.
Draiken" Hello
Xing Siu" Where are you, the event has started.
Draiken" What doesn't it start until like 17:00 PM or something
Xing Siu" It is 17:00 PM already.
Draiken talks to himself" What I must have overslept.
Xing Siu" So ??
Draiken" I'm on my way just give me 30 minutes.
He drops the call and starts cleaning up and freshening himself up and wears the special tailor made suit.
Draiken" I never thought I'd wear such a suit until my wedding day came if that ever happens.
He takes the a taxi and it leaves him at the party.
Guard" Entry Pass please.
Draiken talks to himself" Damnit I left it at home while I was in a hurry. How am I supposed to convince these guys that I'm here to see the President, they won't believe me.
Then a beautiful woman gets out of a beautiful car wearing a beautiful black slick dress with a slit on the side. Everyone goes crazy over her
Paparazzi" Ms AKANE HIKARI CAN YOU PLEASE LOOK THIS WAY WE JUST WANT A PICTURE.
Reporter" Ms AKANE CAN WE PLEASE HAVE A QUICK PICTURE.
Fan girls" AHHHH IT'S HER, IT'S REALLY HER.
Draiken talking to himself" Akane Hikari an S-Rank Hunter from one of the biggest major Guilds in Japan. The Phantom Matrix Guild, it is rumored that among the 14 S-Rank Hunters in Japan she is the 3rd strongest among the 14 and the media says she may be eligible to become the next president if the current president dies, plus she's one of the most shy people and doesn't do well with alot of attention.
Guard" Ms Akane is coming step aside or I'll make you.
Draiken grins and answers.
Draiken" Hee I'd like to see you try.
Guard" What did you say brat, I'll kill you where you stand.
The guard takes out his huge hammer and attacks Draiken but fortunately due to Ms Akane's fast reactions she blocks the attack with just a finger.
Reporter" What the hell just happen.
2nd Reporter" I think Ms Akane blocked that guards attack.
The guard stumbles back and falls over.
Guard" Mrs Akane
Akane" What's with the fighting at the President's event.
Guard" I'm sorry mam it's just this guy wanted to enter without an invitation, so I was just trying to stop him.
Akane" Let him in he's with me, I'll look over him and take responsibility for him, if he does anything out of line.
They enter the event.
Draiken" Thanks
Akane" No problem
Draiken" Well since we're here let's get something to drink.
Akane" They get some cocktails and tell a few jokes as they laugh around and then Xing Siu comes to get Draiken.
Xing Siu" Mr Yusuhiro glad you could finally arrive the President has been anxiously awaiting your arrival. And Hello to you Ms Hikari, hope you enjoying your evening.
Akane" Well I can't complain and it has been quite interesting.
Xing Siu" Good to hear. If you would please excuse us Ms Akane we'll be taking our leave. Mr Yusuhiro
Draiken" If you would excuse me.
Akane" No problem its getting late anyways so I have to rush home.
Draiken" Have a good evening and I hope we meet again.
Akane" Meet too.
She leaves the event. Xing Siu and Draiken go to the President's office.
Draiken talking to himself" This strong Omniqi how could it be so strong, could it be the president. I thought Ms Akane's Omniqi was intermedating but his is just powerful.
Xing Siu" We have arrived, the President will be waiting for you inside.
He enters to see the President and a bodyguard standing behind him.
President Gang" Good evening Mr Yusuhiro I hope your visit has been grand.
Draiken" Thank you for asking it's been fun, I've met some pretty interesting people and made some friends along the way.
Xing Siu" Good to hear, I think you know why I've asked you to come today.
Draiken" I have an idea.
Xing Siu" So we have suspicions that someone was able to clear a Red Gate Dungeon by himself, even going far as killing an E-Rank Monster boss and we believe that person is you Mr Yusuhiro.
Draiken talking to himself" I have to play my cards right here, I don't know what they want yet.
Draiken" Not to mean any disrespect Mr President but do you have any proof of these false claims.
President Gang" Not necessarily but in the recent week there has been only one person who had cashed in alot of monster Cores and Crystal's and that person is you Mr Yusuhiro.
Draiken" That can't be all, for all as we know I could have been saving those Crystal's until they were enough to cash in.
President Gang" Mr Yusuhiro we don't mean any malicious intent we just want to confirm our suspicions and tie some loose ends.
Draiken" Well Mr President, I'm sorry to say that I'm not the person you're looking for.
President Gang" Well then Thank you for your time Mr Yusuhiro, I hope you don't take this meeting to heart and enjoy your evening.
Draiken" Thank you Mr President, I think I'll take a rain check on the party, I have somethings to settle before I go home. If you'll excuse me.
He goes out the door and heads for the exit.
Back at the Presidents office.
Xing Siu" Mr President do you really think its him.
President Gang" I know its him, there's a certain something about that boy I can't quite figure out but I guess we'll leave it for now.
Xing Siu" Should I get some people to keep an eye on him.
President Gang" No need, just let him be.
Back to Draiken.
Finally the TIMER has finished counting down and I can finally enter the Mysterious Gate. Let's hope it won't be that dangerous.
He takes a taxi to an abandoned building and looks at it, he takes out the Mysterious black key from his inventory, as though he was in a hallucination the building starts to shift and becomes engulfed in fire.
Draiken" Woah that really looks dangerous but I still need to see what's happening inside maybe I can even find something precious or some rare items.
He enters the building that's on fire.
