Unpleasant Surprise

"Your mother is here as well." 

Lilly Rose knitted her brows, following the escaping helper with her confused gaze. It was not the first time that her mother came here to visit her. Once, she even stayed for a night. She was glad that she came because she hadn't heard from her mother for a week now, hence, she was a bit curious about the reason why. But the way the maid acted, her confusion went in a different direction. 

When the maid disappeared into the corner, she realized that she did not tell her where her mother was waiting. She shook her head in disappointment and decided to head to Matthew's study first to see her husband first because she missed him.
