1 #1 – Just A Normal Day

I began my morning with my alarm ringing at 7 A.M, letting me know it's time for me to get up and get ready for school. As I was slowly waking up and getting the energy to get out of bed, I decided to scroll through my phone. Not much was going on besides a few group chats sending messages about homework that is due today or asking for help on projects.

After responding to a couple of messages I received overnight I decided to get up and finally get ready for school. I went to my closet and put on my shoes, a nice pair of jeans, and a simple black hoodie. I don't need anything special, especially with the cold front that came in.

I packed my school bag and went to the kitchen to cook up a quick breakfast. Now the reason it's just me at the house is that my parents travel a lot for work so I pretty much always have the place to myself and the fact I'm an only child makes things easier on my parents for not having to worry about more than one kid. Another plus to living by myself is I can have friends over whenever and sometimes I can bring some fine ladies back to the bachelor pad.

Checking my smartwatch I realize that it's time to head on over to school which is only a 15-minute walk. A quick background of my school is that it's a pretty expensive private school but luckily my fathers' job covers the school expenses and the only condition is that I have a GPA above 3.0, school is pretty chill overall, no uniforms which make things pretty easy for a simple guy like me.

I made it to school on time and just having some casual talk with some of my friends before class starts.

"Oh c'mon Roi, you know you want a girlfriend," My friend Akari said. "We are almost halfway through our second year of high school and you haven't even had a proper girlfriend."

"Yea, yea whatever Akari just doing my own thing in life. Taking one day at a time you know? Not trying to get a commitment that I will probably regret in the future," I respond back to my friend while leaning back in my chair. "Plus, why are you nagging me about relationships, you don't even have a girlfriend, and renting them don't count either."

"Woah, woah, woah buddy you don't get to attack me personally like that. I'll have you know that I am in fact quite the ladies' man, you just haven't seen me in action yet," Akari said while crossing his arms with a smug look on his face.

"ohhhhh, okay, Mr. Pimp, if you're so good then why don't you school me your 'skills' on some ladies today, and if you're successful, I'll buy you your favorite bento for lunch," I respond back to Akari with a slight grin on my face.

"Oh you're so on man, this will be a cakewalk, just pick out any girl during lunch and I'll make her begging to be with a man like me." Akari finished his statement with a big sense of pride radiated off him.

And before I could say something sarcastic the bell for first-period rung and our teacher walked into the classroom cutting all conversations short.

Three periods went by and not much happened besides taking notes, hearing a couple of jokes, and some casual conversation with the kids sitting next to me in my classes. Now, this is where the real fun begins, my good friend Akari is going to shock me with his "skills" on getting hot chicks.

The lunch bell rings signaling everyone to stop what they are doing and go take these next 60 minutes to get some food and socialize. Since this bet was going to be relatively fast so lunch can wait just a few minutes.

"So, Roi, who should I sweep off their feet?" Akari said as he was scanning the room for all the potential girls that would have to deal with Akari's expert "skills".

"hmmmm," I say as I scan the room also trying to find someone, then the light went off in my head.

"I got the girl Akari." I tap Akari shoulder to get his attention.

"Who?" he simply ask as he trying to guess who I was going to pick.

"Go ask and see you can score with Sakura Mori." I point to Mori sitting with her group of friends at the "popular kids" table at the outdoor lunch area.

"Bro, why her of all people? She rejects almost every guy who asks her out, even the basketball captain who's a complete stud," Akari said looking a bit worried.

"Well a true master like yourself should have no problem landing with a girl like her unless you know you aren't a master and your 'skills' were just an attempt for you to be cool?" I say while smirking at Akari but shocking enough he looks me dead in my eyes and says,

"I'm going in." and with that Akari made his way over to the school beauty and her friends.
