15 Researching new moves & Viridian forest

The next morning.

Rex woke up refreshed from a long sleep after all that had happened last night. he looked over to see that it was 10 am. He got up and headed to the bike shop in Veridian city to get himself a bike. since he had to walk everywhere he spent most of his time walking rather than training. he was going to get himself a motorbike but he didn't need it now for the moment plus the terrain is rough for the bike he wants. he didn't want to make it too easy for himself since riding a bicycle can still increase his stats. He soon arrived and met the store owner Gerald, Gerlad and Rex got to talking and soon settled on the right bike for him. it was a standard mountain bike with gears to make it easier or hard to peddle, just right for what he needed. After buying the bike, Rex rode it around the city taking in the beautiful sites and going to all the tourist spots. At midday, he made his way over to the other end of the city from where he came from which is the road that leads to Veridian forest. Precisely the place where a couple of pokemon Rex wants to catch are hidden.

There was no friction in trying to get out all he had to do was show his ID and he was immediately let out. As Rex rode his bike at a leisure pace with a high gear making it harder, he got to thinking.

Rex ' That move Blast cannon that Machop used, as well as ice-fire fusion, was a good idea but I have to say I'm an idiot. I have a research function that can make all the calculations for me in order to perfect the move. I should also check to see if it has all the knowledge I have on pokemon if not I'll share it with the system so that it can help me with setting up the best training and ratios of food.' thinking up to there he decided to inquire on the system.

Rex "system do you have access to the information i have thanks to my wish?"

{system has access to all information pertaining to the training and dieting of pokemon.}

Rex "good then start a new research project called move's" he said

Rex "use my memory as a basis and compile all types of move combinations such as Blast Cannon and ice-fire fusion," he said.

Rex "yes only machop and Gyarados," he said

{copy. the system will begin analysis of moves and ways to combine them to increase the power. system will get back to you when it has results} it said before going back to being quiet.

Rex nodded before continuing, "system, begin analysis of my pokemon's current training and diets and further optimise to maximise or even increase growth potential." he said with a smile. this way he could make up for any errors that he might have made in the ratio of the food or the amount of training he made his pokemon do.

Rex once again nodded in satisfaction and then continued further into the forest. by now it was getting dark and he needed to find a place to camp. soon he found a lake that was just deep enough to let Gyarados swim without feeling uncomfortable. Rex soon let out his pokemon with Gyarados creating a massive splash causing all the fish to scurry away in fright of the massive blood-red Gyarados. Machop was much more sensible as it learned more discipline due to its martial art training. Luckily it was still bright enough outside to have a quick training session. Rex fired up the system and followed what it had provided Rex with. He proceeded to take machop towards the lake and started underwater breathing exercises to increase its endurance and punching while being weighted down to increase pressure. Then he followed it up with footwork drills that boxers do, and then some hand speed work before finishing it off with some weighted exercises. As for Gyarados, it was strapped with weights and began to do laps around the lake. after that, it settled down and started practice its control over its energy since it had a lot more moves it had to make sure that it could use them effectively and efficiently. Machop did the same after its gruelling training and started to practice its energy manipulation again. Rex had of course not neglected his body and had joined Machop when it did its physical workout.

After a long training session, Rex cooked dinner for himself and prepared the food for his pokemon according to the systems precise numbers. What surprised Rex was that the system found a new way of increasing the growth potential of his pokemon by combining moomoo milk with certain minerals, and herbs that could be found anywhere but have never been seen to be blended in such a way. Rex was naturally over the moon by this since his pokemon were already monstrous. Suddenly an idea hit him, why not get the system to do research on a way to improve the genes of a pokemon. Almost immediately he voiced his idea.

Rex "system can you research a way to improve the genes of a pokemon?" he asked excitedly.

{system can start a new research folder that will independently do research while scanning the surroundings for items that will either increase the strength or improve the genes of a pokemon. It will cross-reference with the other memories of this world, such as the anime and the games to increase the variety of potential results.} it said.

Rex " yes yes go ahead," he said. He was ecstatic since not only would it be theoretically possible but he could even scan his surroundings without him having to do it consciously. he really cursed how close-minded he was.

And so a peaceful night in Veridian forest came to pass.
