2 First pokemon and system

(author note: changed MC name from Percival Knight to Rex Peirce, since I like it more)

as Rex regained consciousness he felt a splitting headache.

looking around he found himself surrounded by large trees and shrubbery everywhere.

Rex "I seem to have been placed in the forest just outside of pallet town," he thought getting to his feet as he read the unknown memory floating to the surface.

he soon realised what he was wearing.

a long white coat that reached his knees, a black turtleneck, black leather gloves, black slim jeans and some all white vans.

Rex 'not bad' he thought before moving his attention towards the system

Rex 'i should check to see if the system works'

Rex "system?" he asked

*beep

{system booting sequence in progress}

a yes and no answer text box appeared in front of Rex

Rex didn't hesitate to press yes

Rex "system can my stats be improved?"

Rex 'i see thats goo-' before he could finish the system cut in

Rex got worried

Rex "is there something wrong with my body? do you know what it is?" he quickly asked

{host does not need to worry, the anomaly seems to be in a dormant state, system does not have access to knowledge regarding this anomaly due to God's restriction}

Rex "phew! ok thats good, I dont know if this anomaly is a good thing or a bad thing but since getting stronger might help i cant afford to slack off" he said seriously

before long he he calmed down and moved on to the most exiting thing. His pokemon.

Rex "system where is my random pokemon?" he said eager to find out what it is.

*beep*

A yes and no holographic screen that only Rex could see appeared in front of him

Rex didn't have to think much and once again pressed yes.

the roulette wheel started to spin at a very fast rate going over every pokemon in the franchise up until now. slowly the wheel came to a stop on a certain pokemon.

Rex 'machop? I mean he's not the worst pokemon since he can evolve into a strong machamp with only 3 weaknesses, 3 resistances and neutral to the rest. plus now that I think about it, isn't the first gym a rock type. it seems i'll have an easier time than I thought. Also, I should be able to give him some special training in hand to hand combat which should be effective' he thought

Rex ' not bad, the pokeballs are a good thing to have so early, the money will allow me to buy food for machop on my journey and it seems there's a mega evolution for machamp' he said quite surprised.

Rex 'Now that I think about it, who says there can't be, I guess the mega-evolutions shown in the games and anime should only be the ones that have been found so far.

as for using mega machamp? i don't have a keystone but even if I had one I wouldn't be able to use it right away.

first, the pokemon needs to be strong enough to use mega evolution so even if I evolved machoke into machamp I would still not be able to use it until he's strong enough. Then there's the issue of having enough of a bond between trainer and pokemon.

It doesn't matter if you have a mega stone, if the bond isn't there, It wouldn't be able to mega evolve to begin with.' he pondered before moving to the next issue.

Rex "since I have machampite I should find a way to get a keystone, but those are only found in Kalos..." his voice lingering for a while thinking of a solution.

the side of his fist hit is palm

Rex "I Got it!" he exclaimed

with an basic plan forming in his head after a couple of minutes Rex decided to move on.

Rex "system give me Machop Pokeball" he ordered

*ding

in his hand, a red and white Pokeball appeared.

Rex "Machop come out" he yelled throwing the ball into the air

*pop

a white light appeared forming the outline of a 1 meter tall pokemon with 2 arms quickly becoming visible.

"Machaaaaaaa" it yelled before staring to look around puzzled by the sudden change of scenery.

what was different about this Machop though, was its colour and size. It was black in colour with golden accents and o.4 meters taller than that of its species.

Rex 'wow what a cool colour and that size is way bigger than normal, seems weird though since machop's are meant to be grey and smaller than this' he said puzzled by the pokemon in front of him

Rex "system is this really a machop?"

{the colour and size of this Machop is due to an extremely rare genetical mutation. it can be derived that this mutation stems from the genetics of its ancient ancestors who must have had a black colour pigmentation and bigger size. Most other pokemon have a similar unique mutational gene hidden within their own species gene pool. though the chances of this gene activating are extremely low or 0.01% chance to be exact. Those that do have this mutation have been observed to be massively stronger and smarter than those of its species}

Rex ' Oh I see, it seems that God went the full mile huh? it's good to have a stronger companion after all so i can't complain'

turning towards machop Rex began to smile

Rex "hello there Machop I'm your new trainer," he said smiling calmly

Machop was startled by the sudden voice and quickly turned around to find a person taller than he was smiling at him.

Rex " Machop do you want to go on a long journey with me and become stronger together?" he asked looking straight into Machop's eyes.

Machop nodded before happily raising his fist toward Rex

Rex "a fist bump? sure why not," he chuckled connecting his fist to Machop's.

who would have thought that the legend of the strongest trainer and his ace pokemon who no man wanted to ever face in battle would be born through a simple fist bump in some random part of a tiny forest a little ways away from pallet town.

author: didn't expect a machop did you? I didn't want to give him a starter since that's too cliche in my opinion and I have my plans, rest assured this will be no ordinary Machamp hahaha.
