215 aftermath

Her words left a lot of people speechless.

>> Kingpin24: Yo, why is she flaming poor Harry for? It isn't his fault he was matched against God Rex. At least he had a spine and fought till the end. I can't say the same about you though! Shame!

>> extra-terrestrial-Chicken: @Kingpin24, you're 100% right on that one. Plus, Harry would probably smoke her. His Infernape was a beast in its own right. This blossom chick needs to shut up and take the L quietly.

>> Kingpin24: @ extra-terrestrial-Chicken, Brother from another mother ;3

[It seems that the netizens are quite unhappy with Blossom's comment, and considering the audience present in the stadium,] James paused.

RUAAAAAAHHH! BOOOOOOO!

[Heh! It seems that they too, agree.} He chuckled as the angry crowd howled.

{Blossom is strong, her strategy was perfect, and it wasn't a matter of being weak. It's just that Alex is simply beyond reach. His Typhlosion is a powerful Pokémon, capable of beating several elite four without much effort. It's not something ordinary challengers can compete against.} Elesa added with an even tone, her gaze locked on Alex and his partner.

[Oh?] James smiled slightly and raised an eyebrow, [If Alex and Rex were to meet, based on what we have seen up till now, who would you be inclined to favour?] James' words stimulated the audience's imagination, calming the raging crowd for a moment as they began to ponder. Blossom and Alex also turned to the commentator stand with curiosity, intrigued by the answer Elesa would give.

{ I respect Alex and his Pokémon, his mentality is strong and steady, capable of staying level-headed even when faced with such a disastrous start,} she said slowly. [I hear a but coming,] James grinned. The audience also felt it was coming and inched closer to the edge of their seats. Alex himself began to frown, and Blossom smiled provocatively towards him, which didn't escape his sight.

{Well, speed-wise, Scizor outclasses Feraligatr and Typhlosion. His sheer speed is enough to make people dizzy. His moves, as far as we know, include thunder scythe, a move we have not heard of before but is super effective against Feraligatr. Furthermore, although he is at a type disadvantage typing-wise against Typhlosion, it doesn't matter if attacks don't land, right?} Elesa began to analyse.

James nodded, [I agree, but didn't we just see a large-scale Aoe attack performed by Typhlosion? These types of moves are excellent against speed types, no?]

{Correct, but the reach of it is not high, and it doesn't rise into the sky. Have we forgotten that Scizor can fly? Searing crash can be seen as the fire-type equivalent of surf. It has no effect on flying Pokémon. That's not to say that Typhlosion cannot perform Surface to air attacks, but Scizor will simply dodge them at extreme speeds unless they have giant AOE. So I would say, in my humble opinion, that Scizor would come out victorious. But this is very early, and neither trainer has been pushed by their opponents to the point where they had to try seriously.}

Hundreds of people sharply inhaled at her words before looking down at the battlefield where a purple-faced Blossom stood, gritting her teeth furiously.

>> extra-terrestrial-Chicken: HAHAHAHA, that's what she gets. LMAO, I'm dead. Look, it's as if she just swallowed a fly, no comeback? Nothing? That's what I thought. Queen Elesa, protector of the plebians!

>> Kingpin24: @extra-terrestrial-Chicken yoooo, Harry ain't no pleb, but you're right, she awfully quiet rn.

Opposite Blossom, Alex stared at Elesa in silence, his eyes solemn as he digested her words. Then, after a moment of silence, he nodded and without a word or expression, left, never even glancing at Blossom in the process.

James was left speechless as he stared at Elesa. 'Who would have suspected... a viper dressed as a fairy,' he thought, patting his chest in a soothing fashion. Thankfully he didn't try to hit on her. Otherwise, he probably would have been publicly executed.

Rex watched as everything unfolded with a bored expression, "that was a letdown. I expected this girl to at least finish the fight properly. Experience is experience, after all. And evidenced by her performance, she needs it. Tch whatever," he said getting up from his chair.

[Ash's battle is in the afternoon, Simon, Fiona and Karlo follow soon after. We have several hours of basic fights not worth watching,] Gaia informed after hacking into the league servers and gathering information on the battles to come.

Rex grabbed his jacket from the backrest and walked out the door, "Wasn't there a cave in Mt Moon that was recently discovered to have archeological significance?"

[Correct, it happened two days ago. Spelunkers found a wall made of super-compressed rock material blocking their way forward. What's interesting Is that it has traces of human tampering on it. The people in question quickly reported it to the archaeological Museum of rare artifacts, which promptly informed the league's international archaeological division. They have yet to make progress in the little time they have been on sight.]

Rex was intrigued about such discoveries for a simple reason, Arceus had once left Plates of different types scattered around various regions. He didn't have the time or energy to search for them previously because of Spade. Now that he had a few hours off, he might as well conduct a preliminary investigation.

"Let's go take a look. Archeological discoveries usually lead to surprising revelations. Maybe we can even chance upon some rare materials we can use for future evolutions.

[Considering the depth at which the sight is located, I wouldn't be surprised if we did find some ores. Potentially even Fossils.] Gaia acknowledged.

"Oh right, fossils, I'm looking forward to this," Rex said as he rubbed his hands together.
