1 ONE: FANTASIZING

"Take my hand Reese, I won't hurt you..."

His voice filled her ears and drew her to him like magnet. He had a dazzling smile strong enough to weaken her knees...Reese stretched out her right arm in his direction and placed her open palm on his warm palm.

She blushed profusely and he pulled her to his embrace and kissed her softly on the lips making her moan in delight...

He broke the kiss and gazed into her light auburn eyes and whispered into her face...

"You're beautiful Reese."

Reese looked away and smiled shyly, her heart was racing wildly...

"REESE!!!"

The door to her room flung open and Reese sat upright on her bed and glared at her younger brother for interrupting her fantasy world.

He smirked at her and leaned against the door frame.

"WHAT!" Reese yelled at him and he laughed out loud.

"You need to look into a mirror right now sis, you look like an over boiled tomato sauce..."

"ETHELBERT!" She screamed his name in anger and climbed out of the bed ready to pounce on him but he rushed out laughing.

She followed him downstairs all the way to the kitchen where their mom was.

"Reese."

"Yes mom?" Reese answered and rested her elbows on the kitchen table while staring at her mom cooking.

"Where you reading again?"

"NO." She quickly answered but Ethelbert chipped in.

"She was reading 'THE VAMPIRE IN MY DREAMS' and fantasizing about him...how she will kiss and hug him...and ah..oh...ah..."

Ethelbert started making silly sounds, causing his mom to laugh while Reese glared at him for exposing her...actually she did fantasize about a lot of male lead in novels but right now, what Ethelbert said wasn't true.

"Is that so Reese? Why don't you pick a real boy to fantasize about and not fictitious character in some random book." Her mom advised while stirring the pot of boiling hot porridge.

"But they're not as cool as the boys and men in books...real life boys are so unromantic...if you read 'THE LOVE OF A LYCAN' you'll see what they call love mom...the male lead, Torak is so romantic I could kiss him."

"Oh stop it Reese, I'm very romantic." Ethelbert defended himself with a frown plastered on his face. Reese chuckled and smirked at him.

"Wow...I'd love to read it, what's the name of the author?"

"Jikanyotomare..."

"Ok, remind me later darling, because I'll definitely forget her name...its to long...is she Chinese?" Reese gave it a thought and just shrugged.

"Maybe she's from Philippines...am not sure mom." Reese's mom was a fan of books with wolves in it, she even married someone who looked like an alpha. But Reese preferred vampire novels, they fascinated her.

"Can we please stop talking about book...its not helping." Ethelbert grumbled.

"You're missing Ethel, one day you should read one so you'll learn how to be romantic." Reese spoke sarcastically.

"Grab your plates children, breakfast's ready!" Ethelbert quickly grabbed a nearby bowl and dashed to his mother's side with a wide grin.

"Easy young man! You nearly overturned my pot of delicious porridge." Their mom, Matilda, warned him and he smiled sheepishly.

"God, please stop...you look like a strangled donkey." Reese threw words at him and he glared at her.

Matilda dished out hot porridge into their bowls before packaging she and her husband's.

"Mom...Scarlett's coming over later in the day."

"Oh...that's great, how's her mom by the way?"

"She's good." Reeses replied. Scarlett was her reading partner, they could read many books together in a day and talk about it all week. Anytime she found an interesting book on webnovel, Reese would always inform Scarlett and so did Scarlett. She couldn't wait for Scarlett to arrive.

"Mom...I'll be going over to ehm...Dan.." Reese quickly interrupted her brother's sentence.

"He lies! He wanna go cuddle with his girlfriend." Reese smirked in triumph when she achieved getting a reaction from Ethelbert, he was all red.

"Is that so Ethel? You got a girlfriend?"

"No! She lies!"

Ethelbert quickly answered while pointing at Reese, she slapped his hand away in disgust.

"There's my big boy and girl...arghh." Their father popped in surprising them. Reese face palmed herself.

"Dad your pirate accent is not good you know...it sounds like you're in pain." Reese spoke out what bothered her and everyone laughed.

"Wow...my baby Reese is all grown up."

Her father complimented her with a nod and stealthily grabbed Ethelbert's bowl of porridge away.

"DAD!! Not cool." Ethelbert sprang up to his feet and chased after his dad.

"ETHELBERT! No running round the house when your food is not yet digested..." Matilda yelled after them.

Reese quietly raised her bowl to her lips and drank all the soup before keeping it back on the table.

"Thanks mom for this delicious, nourishing breakfast."

"Awwwn...thank you Reese." Reese dropped her bowl in the sink and was about to head out.

"Could you write the name of the book you recommended for me earlier." Matilda reminded her daughter.

"Oh...right..." Reese went into the living room and got a pen from the table with a notebook. She tore out a plane page and placed it on the book before scribbling the title and author's name.

When she handed it to her mom she headed upstairs and into her room, she carefully bolted it and sat on her bed.

What if a guy as dashing as Edward in the movie 'TWILIGHT' just appeared now?

That would be scary but interestingly beautiful...Reese thought to herself and sighed. It was killing her to experience what Bella felt...

Was she thrilled? Yes she definitely was...

"Oh God! give me my own Edward or Torak, but make him a vampire."

Reese prayed and laughed at her silly prayer. She knew God won't answer such nonsensical prayer.

She stood up and took off her clothes before heading into the shower located close to her bedroom, but a door separated it. She stood under the shower and turned it on.

"Ahhhh..."

She quickly turned it off...she mistakenly turned the cold switch on instead of mixed.

She turned the mix switch on and hummed in delight at the feel of the water on her skin.

"I tried so hard and got so far...but in the end it doesn't even matter, I had to fall to lose it all...but in the end, it doesn't even matter...."

She sang loudly as she always did everytime she took her bath, she sang one of her favorite song; 'IN THE END' by Tommee Profitt and Fleurie.

The song had a soothing sensation, it sounded like a vampire song to her so she loved it...
