The hunting party

???: "CATCH THAT WABBIT!!!" yells the leader of the group

Leon, 25 years old, a swordsman, and leader of the group was the one who convinced the others to hunt the last of the wabbits. As a commoner, he grew up with nothing but his own two hands, and as such he is used to working towards his goals and that drove him to become an adventurer.

When his mother got sick with an unknown disease he pleaded to the local priest to heal her, but the priest refused as Leon didn't have enough money, and so Leon went around asking for ways to make money quick which led him to come across a rumor stating that the albino wabbit has come out of hibernation.

With his mother's condition deteriorating and not much time left before the wabbits migrated to another area, he gathered his party members and set out.

??: "I GOT IT, I GOT IT!!!"

Aria, 24 years old, the archer of the party and Leon's childhood friend, she, like Leon, grew up as a commoner and lived with her abusive parents for most of her childhood.

This led to her developing a low sense of self-esteem, becoming meek and submissive, because of this she was bullied by the other kids and it often got physical. Then one day while she was being bullied a lone boy with messy brown hair stepped in to help her.

Her view of the world was very narrow,

She was bullied and abused because she was worth nothing

Those were the thoughts that often came to mind

So when someone came into her life and told her she was worth something, that she mattered... well.

Anyway, after that, she often hung around Leon and they quickly became friends, her meek and submissive personality slowly disappeared replaced by a confidant and defiant one.

So when he became an adventurer she also became one, with her picking to become a long-range fighter to complement Leon's close-range fighting style.

?: "WHERE'D IT GO???"

Jason, 27 years old, the tank and Leon's best friend, unlike both Aria and Leon, Jason was the son of a noble, a Count to be exact, and as such he was given everything he asked for and grew up with a silver spoon in his mouth.

However, his conflicting personality led him to become rebellious and eventually ran away from home, he came across Leon and Aira when he was corner by bandits and was on the verge of death.

Being both cornered by bandits and saved by Leon Jason decided to repay him in any way he could, so Jason went back home and hired a personal trainer to become strong, and a couple months later he joined up with Leon and became the party tank and cook.

?: "I don't think this is a good idea"

Lia, 26 years old, and the cleric of the party, as well as Jason's personal maid.

Back when Jason came back to train his personal maid was also trained as a healer by the count just to make sure that Jason didn't get too injured.

Lia was the daughter of a knight family and was sent by her family to be a maid for the count because of the amount of money they could get from it.

Abandoned by her family for money she became depressed, shy, and meek. So when she met Jason's bubbly and outgoing personality she didn't know how to react and slowly but surely her depression started to subside and a new feeling emerged.

Although she was still shy and meek she became very determined to serve Jason the best she could and the warm feeling in her chest kept growing and growing, so when he snuck out and almost died she felt like the world was crashing down on her.

From then on she never left Jason's side and when he told the count that he wanted to be an adventurer she used up all her saving to become a cleric and went with him.

The party of friends had been traveling together for 5 years now and at this point were the best of friends, so when Leon told them about his mother they joined in without a second doubt to help their friend as he did with them.

Leon: "Corner the male" he orders and Aria pulls back her bow and it lights on fire.

Aria: "Fire Shot!" she calls out and releases the string sending the flaming arrow flying towards the male wabbit, whose ears twitch and it ducks right under the arrow last second.

Aira: "Tch"

Jason: "I GOT IT" he yells as he attempts brings his large two-handed hammer down on the wabbit, but the creature is not defenseless and its horn glows a deep crimson.

Lia: "LOOK OUT!"

The wabbit's horn lets out a red laser beam that impacts right in Jason's stomach, sending him flying and crashing into a tree, which snaps from the weight of his body. Lia rushes over and holds her stave over Jason's body.

Lia: "Middle Cure Wounds" she chants and a green glow emits from the stave and heals all of Jason's wounds. Jason perks up like nothing happened "Thanks Li" he gives her a toothy grin to which she responds by blushing slightly and nodding her head.

Aria: "Flirt later, we got wabbits to catch" she teases as she and Leon chase after the wabbit with Jason standing up quickly and rushing over as well.

Lia: "I-it w-wasn't F-fi-"

Jason: "HURRY UP LIA!!!" he yells from far away

Lia: "A-ah COMING!!" she gets up as well and runs after them

Running after them Lia's mind starts to wander

After this quest, Leon's mother would be cured

Aria and Leon would get married

They had been planning this for a while now and decided on a date a few days ago

And it was announced not long ago that Jason would become the count

His father had decided that he was ready to inherit the fief and become lord, to which Jason had agreed

So this would be their last quest

And soon Jason would have to find a wife to continue the family line

Lia frowned at the thought of Jason with someone else, but quickly realized what she thought and blushed heavily.

"No no no" she whispers shaking her head, trying to rid those thoughts from her mind

She turns her attention back to the forest only to find that it had gone quiet.

She slows down and looks around "Guys?" she calls out to her party members as she walks through the forest

"Guys?" she calls out once again and comes to a clearing that's filled with a strange mist

She gulps but steels herself and walks into the mist just aimlessly walking around trying to find her comrades.

"Okay, it's not funny anymore" she jokes but is still very scared

But she gets no response

Just the sound of skin tearing, which sends shivers up her spine.

"I-is s-some o-one there?" she says in a quiet voice

Still nothing, just the sound of something dropping in front of her

Because of the mist, she can't see that well, so hesitantly she bends over and picks up the item.

"A-a glove?" she gives the glove a squeeze "A very hard one" she says surprised and a harsh wind suddenly passes by her, blowing her hat away, she drops the hand to hold onto the hat so it doesn't fly away.

And the wind also starts cleaning the mist and once mostly gone she looks back down

Lia: "*GASP*" she gasps in both shock in horror as the "Glove" was actually a severed hand, with fresh blood still dripping from the bottom of it.

She takes a step back only to trip over something and fall back onto her but, she rubs her now sprained ankle while wincing and looks at what tripped her only to scream.

Lia: "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

It was Jason's headless body that she tripped over, she scurries backward only for her hand to slam down in a puddle of water, her head whips over and it's not water, but a pool of blood stemming from aria's severed lower half.

Lia then vomits as the fear and dread start to set in, after clearing her stomach she attempts to stand up, but her legs give out as soon as she puts weight on them and she is stuck as tears start flowing out.

Lia: "W-w-w-w-why?" she stutters through tears, and the only answer she receives is the sound of flesh ripping and tearing.

She slowly turns her head and see's Leon with a terrified expression on his face and a small albino wabbit drenched in the blood and innards of her friends is feasting on his torse.

She gasps again but quickly covers her mouth as to not draw attention to herself, but the albino stops eating and turns its scarlet's eyes in her direction to her utter horror. She ignores the pain in her ankle and scurries to her feet trying to get away and runs as fast as she can.

The wabbit looks between its meal and the running woman clearly contemplating something, before its body releases a pure white aura and its already mesmerizing scarlet eyes glow an even deeper red and it leaps after the terrified cleric with a sadistic grin plastered on its face.
