The year quickly flew by as the duo began to work much more frantically on improving their skills. Mordred went into explicit detail about what her mother was capable off so Jon started researching as many types of branch magic as he could.

He learned off how every continent typically uses a different focus for their spells other than a wand. Some use bracelets and rings, some use staffs and other weapons, some use tattoos made from the blood of magical creatures and some use armour.

They tried to see if these focuses could be used via their noble phantasm. The duo both have armour that they can summon at will after all.

Next Jon researches the advantages of different branches of magic and how he can begin studying them. Their summer trips are when they would go to a specific place to acquire the information. Their tools for acquiring it would be legilimency, Lockeheart is a prime example of how effective using the mind arts to get ahead in life is.

Going to mind route is wrong? Your clearly not recognising the source material of Jon and Mordred. Nasuverse and Westeros are really dark worlds and they themselves had to do some pretty dark stuff sometimes.

Hexes, Jinxes, Curses, curse breaking, Healing arts, mind arts, rune crafting, transfiguration, charms, alchemy, warding, dark arts, hemomancy, soul craft, warging, potions, evocation, demonology, Druid arts, qigong, thaumaturgy, magical creatures, rituals, other worlds power systems and then their own powers were on the list that they would have to work through.

Some of the stuff they got from their french friends that they owled requesting things. They gave the Veela a hefty sum of Galleons and some animal parts from the things they'd hunt in the forest as payment.

As they started burning through the forbidden section of the library they even came across something that made Jon's spine tingle. It was buried under a pile of face grimoires made from human flesh.

Harvey Dresden's Helpful Dark lexicon, the Dresden files existed in this world?!? Or a version of it at least. I was not ready to deal with that level of bullshit. One of the seasons councils would annihilate me and I don't want Zeus dropping some evil godmother after me.

The book had 69 spells that were HP versions of Harry Dresdens spells. So I swiped them away for study before I went to research other spells that could be found.

We decided to take a trip down to hogsmeade and visit one of the stores there. After listening in on some of the older Gryffindors we learned about their being hidden stores that required certain spells to access. Next to Zonko's joke shop would be Wyverna's Womanly Wonders hidden away. I did not imagine their being a sex/lingerie shop hidden there but there it was.

In a stores known as Scroll Sanctuary we found several books gathered from around the world. They contained spells and systems from other countries but were untranslated, the shop sold these to unsuspecting students who wanted to gain an edge over the competition in school not knowing they couldn't use half the stuff without a correct focus or speaking another language.

Thank Christ we used a language ritual on ourselves, we were able to get our hands on a series of scrolls from japan labelled the onmyoji grasp over the elements. They were basically an elemental spell guide that were remarkably similar to the persona elemental spells. Most recent volume was from 30 years ago and it covered nuclear spells.

The only element I couldn't find was almighty series but I think that may not exist in the universe. I later turned to asking Hiccup and his friends about rare magic from their countries in exchange for translated spells. Jack happily accepted to give out some wards in exchanges for the Japanese ice spells.

Hiccup told me about his clans body ritual of inheriting strength from something they kill. That may explain why he says his father can smash boulders with his bare hands like I can. Probably killed a mountain troll or something.

Plot moved along with some small changes, for example during the duelling club hosted by Lockeheart Draco still summoned the snake and Harry showed off his parseltongue. When people complained about it I showed my ability to do so as well. Though it was botched it gained looks from everyone. The snake looked at me like I was a drunk before Snake toasted it.

When people thought that Harry and I were dark lords l slapped my forehead and exclaimed "Merlin's balls! It's a language! You can learn it. I've been trying too. The parseltongue is meant to be amazing for the healing arts and care for magical creatures. Harry is also a Potter so his bloodline can be tracked! Just look up his family tree in the ministry and see if he's connected to anyone from the lines displaying the gift. His ancestor may be from India or something."

Most people stopped to at least think logically about it until Draco opened his fat mouth. Something about his father checking personally which made the other houses wary of Harry. Gryffindor didn't care anywhere near as much.

When another victim turned up the golden trio decided to polyjuice the situation. Mordred swapped out the hair and spared Hermione the painful tail growth.

When hermione still ended up getting paralysed the two boys went looking for Aragog. Another difference was that they weren't attacked on their way out, those two carried the scent of the spiders new predator. Me and Mordred~ we'd been hunting the spiders at night for combat training and parts for potions. Hermione wasn't the only one brewing shit in the bathrooms.

When the diary was taken all my stuff got trashed in the room which kinda pissed me off so I swore to destroy the diadem next year. The only reason I didn't go for the ROR this year is the Baselisk hiding in the pipes which light be able to enter the room.

After Ginny got taken Ron became hysterical so I knocked him out. Me, Harry and Mordred accompanied Lockeheart down into the chamber. Lockeheart revealed his true nature as a memory stealer and tried to obliviate us but got stupefied into the wall.

I told the two to head in whilst I minded lockeheart and guarded the exit. During that time I used legilimency on the downed faker and learned who he'd stolen from as well as his knowledge on the world and mind magic. I didn't make him amnesiac like Ron would have but I did give him an irrational fear of the FBI who were "coming for him" after he flirted with school girls. He's lucky he didn't pull any pedomaru shit otherwise I'd make him into theon Greyjoy.

Mordred basically handled the baselisk, Harry got the sword and 'helped' her by stabbing its damaged eye then cutting the book whilst Mordred distracted Tom Riddle. Harry didn't notice but Mordred killed the snake while he wasn't looking so she magically claimed the corpse. Later imma make a poison resistance ritual for us and we'd explore the full chamber to find Slytherins vault and find some parsel magic tomes written in Arabic.

The school year ended with the gang doing reasonably well in school. The children boarded the train to home while Jon and Mordred planned to head to Austria. They wanted to pay Nurmengard a visit.
