127 19.2 Triage

Shvt... This was all my fault, wasn't it... If only I was good enough to somehow defeat someone that can control the very earth itself. I mean, I knew that it was impossible as I was now, but dammit did I still think that I could've taken him if I was at least prepared enough for him!

"N-never mind then," I quickly steered the conversation away from the obvious landmine. "How's everyone?"

"Everyone's pretty down." I grimly nodded at Emeraud's words. Understandable. "Baccus is organizing everyone for the relief efforts, but the losses we suffered are far from good."

I hummed in affirmation as I digested the bit of news I just got. So depending on how bad it was, I was expecting either pandemic-levels of people to treat, typhoon-levels of damage to rebuild, or worse, both.

I wasn't sure which of the three scenarios I wanted to deal with.
