Chapter 1: 3rd Fight This Month

Third POV:

During the first week of the announcement of the new boy group formed by YunSe Entertainment, they gained popularity really quickly. Especially through their main visual, Keye, he's not only good-looking, but he can dance and sing. He was your perfect idol. He had a lot of fans just from his debut photos. 188 cm tall, second youngest in the group, and can speak multiple languages. He had one bad problem, he smokes and smoking would harm his vocals. Yet he continues to do it just like his other group member, YuanLi. YuanLi smokes and often smokes with Keye, always smoked in secret, they didn't want their perfect idol status to collapse just because of a box of cigarettes. Smoking in the media was big news for the fans, especially when the two of them are just 19 and 18. Does the company care about it? The answer is no. They tried to make them stop smoking, but they continued to do it. So the company's only choice was to tell them to do it in secret and not get caught. The two were addicted to cigarettes, but a problem occurred, they got addicted to one another.

YuanLi POV:

This was our third fight during our relationship in the first month. Didn't everyone say that a relationship is supposed to be sweet the first few months, I already fought with Keye so many times. I'm tired, the company kept giving us more work and work, and my relationship with Keye is getting worse, which is hurting my sleeping schedule. The scent of cigarettes doesn't do it for me anymore. I looked out into the city from my balcony. I looked at the last cigarette in the packet. It doesn't satisfy my needs anymore, I crumbled up the pack with the cigarette and threw it into a black trash bag. I walked back inside and laid down on my bed, I put on my headphones and started to play tunes to calm my nerves. Tears slowly fell, making my eyes red, and my face wet. I used my pillow to catch my tears.

The next day I woke up to a wet pillow, I grabbed my phone only to realize it was dead. I looked at the clock and it was 7 am, I got myself ready to leave the building of the dorm. I quickly ran out and cars were waiting for us to get on. The manager told me to get in the car quickly. I was the first person to arrive and I picked a seat in the middle like always. I plugged my phone with a charger. I closed my eyes before someone opened the car door. I looked at who it was, BoXu, the oldest member of the group. "Good morning," I smiled at him.

"Morning, YuanLi!" he said as he seated himself at the backseat. "I never knew you would wake up this early."

"I didn't know either," I laughed. "I just happened to wake up earlier than usual."

"Sleeping early these days?"

"Yeah, I always can't fall asleep early, but I guess not now."

"Do you want to get hotpot today? I will ask the others later on about it."

"Sure, I haven't had hotpot for such a long time."

"Great." The car door opened again, this time it was Keye, he seated himself next to me. I opened my phone and started browsing my apps. I didn't even bother to talk to him.

"Ding!" my phone rang to see BoXu text pop up.

"Did you and Keye fight recently?"

"Yeah," I replied.

"You should take a step back and the problem might resolve."

"It's the third time we have fought within a month, I'm tired of being the one who always takes a step back so we can fix it. I always listen to you Bo Ge(Brother)."

"What's with Keye being so stubborn with saying sorry." He then sent a sad face emoji. "I really don't want to see you two fighting."

"It's always him, he's the problem, but he doesn't even try to fix it."

BoXu sent a sigh to the chat.

I exited Wechat and looked out the window. The driver started up the engine and we were heading off to the company's main building.

"Keye, do you want to get hotpot together with everyone else? I already asked everyone if they wanted to eat and they all said yes," BoXu asked.

"Sure," he answered softly.

I remember why we fought yesterday, it was because of YuJun. YuJun is the youngest of the group, Keye and he was very close during trainees' days. I would even go to the extent that his relationship with him is stronger than me and Keye's. We fight every time because of YuJun. I remember walking into the practice to see Keye with YuJun talking and they were getting closer to one another. So close their face was touching. I walked towards Keye, grabbed his hand, and dragged himself outside to the hallways.

"Something wrong?" Keye asked.

"Why would I drag you out if there's nothing wrong?"

"What's the problem then?"

"If you were going to stay in the practice room and with YuJun, at least tell me, you don't need to lie to me."

"I was scared that you didn't want me hanging out with YuJun late at night."

"You really don't understand what I mean, do you?" "I just wanted you to admit to your mistake, stop hiding it when you are hanging out with YuJun! It makes you two look like secret lovers hiding from me."

"YuJun is afraid of you…"

"YuJun this and that! You always care about him. What about me? I just wanted an honest response, but even that you can't give me. Do you want to play mind games with me? You like mind games, don't you? I told you so many fucking times, stop fucking with my brain! I'm in a relationship with you because I like you, not because I want to put ownership on you. You're free to hang out with anyone, but lying to me for someone else is so selfish! You only cared about how YuJun feels, but what about me? Did you ever consider how I would feel when I see it or hear about it? That you lied to me?"

"Yuan…" he grabbed my hand.

"Don't call me that, you don't deserve it, talk to me when you're willing to change and admit your mistakes. From the moment you were willing to lie to me already hurts me, Keye, selfish much?" I said as I shook his hand and walked away.

"YuanLi, we made it," I felt a tap on my shoulder.

"Oh, Bo Ge," I said before opening the car's door, getting out, and walking into the building.
