Mil Toradashi, a 19-year-old college student, had faced a great tragedy in his life. Both of his parents had tragically died in a car accident, leaving him alone in the world. He lived a solitary existence, trying to navigate his way through life without any familial support. The being introduced himself as a higher being, a supreme being who claimed to be God. He expressed remorse for the sudden and unexpected turn of events, explaining that a rift had opened and caused Mil's untimely demise. But instead of leaving Mil lost in the void, God offered him a chance at a new life—a reincarnation into a world of magic and knights, with his old memories and age intact.
Doubtful and unsure about the proposition, Mil questioned God about his future existence. He expressed his desire for a peaceful and slow life, one where he could be the owner of an island, away from the chaos of the world. Mil also yearned for longevity, either immortality or a significantly extended lifespan, with a healthy body. To his surprise, God chuckled and shuffled through a catalog of requests.
"You are quite a character," God remarked, amused by Mil's lack of panic. "I hope you had fun in your next life." With a mischievous smile, God granted Mil's requests, assuring him that he would receive a system to craft things, akin to games like Minecraft.
