My eyes filled with greed, I eyed the surrounding eggs. I moved to the nearest on then opening my mouth I tried to swallow it whole. Near the tip, my mouth was fixed unable to go further than what seemed like one-fourth of the egg. I had heard snakes can expand their mouth to twice their size so, I didn't think before trying to shove it inside my mouth.

The result? I am stuck neither being able to swallow it nor cough it out. I struggled like that for a few minutes then, it came to me.

'I'm an idiot. I could just cultivate it all.'

I looked around the sea of eggs, surrendering my desire to strengthen myself I started cultivation my ass no, my tail off.

Moving about absorbing the eggs, I realised I was growing not just my attributes but my size as well. Now, I could fit almost half of an egg inside my mouth.

Gradually I noticed, I could absorb other eggs around just by the touch of my body. Enlightened by the discovery I felt rejuvenated.

Absorbing around dozen eggs at once, about an hour later I had completed the quest. About one-hundredth of the sea of eggs was now empty. And as expected, I received another similar quest after the completion. No, something was different this time.

I was startled by the discovery that I could gain bloodlines as well. I fortified my will and continued my quest for egg absorption.

A few hours later, I had grown to the size of about a few metres, a gigantic frame compared to my previous size. Now, I could cultivate around a hundred eggs at once, speeding up my development by a lot.

Finally at 9th hour of my final quest I completed it all. It took me so long as the eggs were far apart compared to the previous closely compacted eggs. Clearing around the one-tenth of the sea of eggs I laid satisfied by my hard work.

Then, the completion notification arrived. I leaped up in joy to look what sort of bloodline I gained.

I excitedly opened up my stats.

As I was lost in thoughts, I started sensing cracking sounds all around me.

Focusing on my surroundings, I noticed the hatchlings around me and prepared bring forth my carnage once more.

Just as I was about gulp the one nearest to me, my vision contracted as I saw a gigantic frame about hundreds of metres long.

In the dim the light of the unknown location, I saw the largest being that I had ever scene.

I shuddered, as it was looking precisely at me, with its red eyes and dark shiny scales all over its body. Flipping out its twin tipped tongue.

"Mom?" I blurted in a hissing voice.
