6 chapter 5

She arrived at the town and smiles softly, the sun was shining and it was a great day so far.....you know despite escaping a set of slender-brothers for the second time anyways. Making her way to the fountain near the center of the town she smiles, a soft sigh escaping her mouth as she sat down on the edge of the fountain upon arrival waiting for her friend abby whom she texted half an hour ago to meet her here. Her friend abby is a young human woman 22 years of age with ginger hair from her fathers side and brown eyes from her mothers side along with pale skin and freckles, shes also a kind lady and loves to help people no matter the cost so shes sure that abby would be willing to help her.

maddie had to wait ten more minutes before she could see her friend walking up to her and she smiles softly. "Abby! hey!" her call wasnt un-noticed and her friend looked to her and squeals running up to her instantly hugging her "Maddie!! how great it is to see you, its been a long while" maddie noted that it has been an entire year since she had seen abby "i know, an entire year i belive" she saw abby nod smiling "so what can i help ya with, in your text you said you needed help" maddie gulps softly and then looks side to side as if checking if anybody was watching. "is there a place we can talk without listening ears hearing in?" her friend looked confused but nods. "yea my apartment, follow me"

Maddie followed her friend into the apartment and they took the elevator, upon exiting at the 5th floor they walked to a door that had the number 23 on it and she watches abby unlock it, the door opening and they enter. Abby could then be seen shutting the door behind them and they walked over to the kitchen table sitting down. "ok maddie whats wrong?" maddie tugged at the collar of her dress "w-well have you ever heard of the slender brothers?" her voice was shaky and quiet as if though she was scared and trying to keep quiet.

Abby looked confused "of course i know about the slender-brothers i was with you when you created your oc remember?" maddie held her head down and nods "w-well t-they are re-real a-and now they wont leave me alone" abby looked amused "is this a joke? i remember as kids we would like to pretend that the brothers existed" Maddie quickly shook her head no "NO its not a joke, a couple days ago i-i woke up to find myself in my room b-but the slenderman was sitting in a chair reading a newspaper" she sniffles and sobs "not long later i discovered that the other brothers were in my house as well" she looks directly in her friends eyes "abby they c-called me lyn" tears were streaming down her eyes "they are treating me like a helpless five year old" her eyes were turning somewhat red from crying "i dont want this every bit of my independence is being taken from me abby and im terrified"

Abby realizing her friend was NOT joking with her she was shocked and then wraps her arms around maddie in a hug "dont worry i will always be here for you maddie, your my best friend after all" maddie looks up with tear stained eyes "y-you promise?" abby smiles softly "yes i promise" maddie smiles softly, normally you wouldnt think that this would be something to cry about but to her she feels like everything is being taken from her in one fell swoop.

(lets see whats happening with the slenders)

"what do you mean you lost her!!?" slender was pissed he leaves for a minute and comes back to find that offender had lost lyn and worse the door was wide open, weather or not the door was open before had is up for debate but the most important is there sister who had gone missing. offender was actually terrified of his pissed off elder brother right now "i swear i just turned around and looked back to find the door open and she was gone" slender growls and pushes offender into the wall "Shes only five years old!! what if she gets lost!! or worse!! the hunters find her!! then it would be YOUR fault that we lost our baby sister" offender grabs at his brothers hands that were clutching the collar of his trench coat and he was paler then normal.

a clearing of the throat startled them "we can always just go look for her" trenders voice rang out, he was angry but not as angry as slender or splendor, splendor was so mad that he had locked himself in his room to calm down, which probably wont take long if the sound of footsteps coming down the stairs is any indicator. Slender takes a deep breath and then nods "lets go look for her, however we might need to don our human forms if we will be going near the human town"

the other brothers including splendor who had just gotten downstairs had nodded agreeing and they all get on there spring jackets before going into there human forms. "does this jacket make me look fat?" offenders nonchalant question caused slender to smack him "ow hey!" if he had eyes slender would have rolled them "we are going to look for our sister not make jokes now lets go" his tone left no room for argument and offender nods, they then all left to go look for there little sister.

(back with ly-i mean maddie)

"feeling better" to abby's question maddie sniffles and nods wiping her nose with a tissue a bunch of snot coating it "yea i feel better now" abby giggles smiling "how about we go get some McDonalds and then get some icecream for old time sake?" the girls eyes light up and she nods "of course that sounds great, just let me clean myself up and we can head out" abby nodded and smiles as she watches maddie head to the bathroom and get cleaned up.

It didnt take long before maddie was ready and she walked out of the bathroom. "im ready" maddie's eyes were puffy and red from crying but other then that she looked perfectly ready "alright lets go!" they both walked to the door and exited before walking to the elevator and going to ground floor upon the elevator door opening they left the apartment and walked down the street stopping at a mcdonalds "so what would you like maddie?" maddie hummed and looked at the menu on the board inside the building "hmm a double big mac with a medium fry and a root beer" abby looked shocked "thats a lot of food!" giggling the girl blushes "i-im just craving a lot of meat for some reason, red meat not the white stuff" abby giggles softly "alright if thats what you want then that is what you will get" abby walked up to the man at the desk and ordered after ordering she walked over and sat with maddie at a table to wait.

it didnt take long before the food was ready and there number was called, abby went up got the food and then sat back down putting maddie's in front of her "enjoy" maddie grinned and immedieately dug into her fries deciding to finish those off first, they were salty and the fries were soft it was delicious. Upon finishing her fries she opened up her burger box and took a bite somehow the meat tasted to cooked for some reason, maybe they overcooked it by accident...or maybe its just her "maddie are you alright you have been staring at your burger for five minutes is something wrong?" shaking her head to pull herself out of her thoughts she blushes in embarrasment "yea im fine, i guess i just got a bit lost in thought" abby looked worried but nods "alright....if your sure"

After finishing there meal they exit the resteraunt and head to there favoruite ice-cream place. the marble slab creamery, to them this place has the best ice-cream in town and is irresistible, maddie got a waffle cone with cherry cheesecake and cotton candy icecream on it and her friend got a super kid and bubblegum ice-cream in a sugar cone, they then went outside to enjoy there ice-cream.

sitting down at the bench she takes a lick of her ice-cream she didnt notice but a litteral purr tore itself from her throat "m-maddie?" her friend was laughing "did you...did you just purr?!" maddie froze her eyes wide in shock and confusion "a-as far as im aware no" snickers could be heard from her friend "you did! you purred!! Hahaha" the girl blushed and lightly pushed her friend not hard enough to knock her over but hard enough to be playful. "i cant belive you can purr now! thats hilarious!" the girl who was being teased was not impressed at all "can we stop with the teasing...please?" abby sighs "ffffiiiinnnneee ill stop teasing you about the fact you can purr" maddie sighed in relief "thank you"

they both continued eating there ice-cream until it was gone and maddie smiles softly "that was delicious" maddie licks her lips happily and abby nods "very delicious its definitely the best place to get ice-cream in town" they were heading back to the apartment when a voice tore through the air "Lyn!" maddie froze in shock and horror and she looked to her friend "abby....RUN!!" abby was confused but when maddie grabbed her arm and ran she had no choice but to follow, maddie's heartbeat was beating hard and frantically as they ran "LYN COME BACK!!"

abby looked at maddie as they ran "maddie is that them!?" said girl looked at her friend and nodded "yea thats them please keep running i dont want to go back!" there feet made soft thumping noises as they ran up the pathement to the apartment and entered it, going streight to the elevator and climbing on. the moment the door opened they ran to there apartment number and opened the door slaming it behind them and locking it pressing there back against the door.

looking at each other they laugh softly and sit down hugging each other to comfort each other happy that they both managed to get away.
