17 Chapter 16

It was past twelve but my eyes were still wide open. I was just staring at the ceiling of my room whole night, thinking about what is happening in our lives.

I was kidnapped,

Aci and Alexius are also kidnapped, who will be next?

"If only they had told me everything they knew I might be able to help." I look like a fool here in my room talking to myself.

"Aish! I'm going crazy." if there was only a ghost here in my room, he might still be afraid of me because I speak alone.

Since I could not sleep I went out on the veranda first, the cold breeze embraced my whole body when I opened the sliding door.

It was dark and only the light from the moon and stars gave a reason for me to see the outside view.

"Why is this happening to us?" I asked myself while looking at the stars.

"I think my parents and the Matteo's did nothing wrong, why are we-" I could not continue what I was going to say and just closed my eyes tightly because of what am I thinking.

Add to that the thought of why my chest always hurts.

"Hays, what can I do to stop this?" if I was the only one to be obeyed, I would rather go to the precinct and ask the police for help.

But I could not do that because they did not want to tell me what was really going on, they chose to keep it a secret rather than tell me to help them.

I left the veranda and left my room.

I suddenly felt thirsty.

The whole house is quiet, I can only hear my footsteps down the stairs.

Everyone at home is definitely asleep, because it's past twelve and people are tired from work.

I went straight to our kitchen to do my purpose, to drink water. When I opened the fridge I saw a solo pack of my favorite flavor of ice cream.

I lost all my problems when I saw the ice cream, as if my eyes literally shine with what I saw. Gezz, this is my favorite.

I first looked around before picking up the ice cram, I looked like a thief snatching a diamond here in the refrigerator. I have to be careful because when my older brother sees that I will eat ice cream at this hour, he will definitely scold me.

"Yey" I said when I got the ice cream without anyone seeing me.

I walked away from the kitchen to go back to my room with the ice cream and water with me.

"Which of the word you don't understand that I only used you?!" I stopped walking when I heard someone shout. I turned to the source of the voice and it came from our backyard garden.

"Who the hell will shout at this hour?" I asked myself.

I returned the ice cream and water I took to the kitchen and then I walked to the backyard garden, I prepared myself for what might happen. maybe because my mind is saying that these are the people who want to torture us, yes ... people who want to torture us, even if mommy and daddy don't tell me the real reason why this is happening, I guess it is because they want to torture us because our family is known all over the Philippines.

I slowly walked towards the garden, if only I could walk like a feather I would have done it.

"You know? I'm already annoyed with you, can you please go away?"

the closer I get the more I hear them talking. when I got to the door leading to the backyard garden, I peeked.

I was surprised when I saw Alexius standing with his two hands on his pocket while in front of him was ...

"Aci?" I can't believe what I saw.

what is Aci doing here?It's already midnight and why is she here?

"Is there really no chance for us Matt?" I heard Aci ask,

he called my brother Matt? and Alexius didn't complain?

Alexius does not want to be called by another name. Hmmmm, I smell something fishy.

"What chance are you talking about? we are not even in a relationship to give us a chance." Alexius laugh after he said that.

What's going on with the two of them?

I did not show up to the two of them, I let them talk first because I also wanted to know what they were talking about.

"Javine, if I were you I would go home now. Maybe your family is already looking for you, it's dangerous now." my brother ordered Aci.

Wow, are they second name basis?

"I won't go home until you say what I want to hear." denied Aci

"What do you want me to say? That I like you? I do not like you Aci! I do not-"

"ALEXIUS MATTEDEUS PEIGE!" I shouted at my brother.

I can't just listen to the two of them while I can see the pain in Aci's eyes.

why did I forget what Aci told me?

"What are you doing here sister?" Alexius asked me bored.

"You? What are you doing here?" I asked back.

"As you can see sister, we're talking." he simply answer.

"You're talking? No, Alexius, you are shouting. What's the matter?" I aksed sarcastically

"Nothing, tell Aci to go home, I'm going to sleep." Alexius turned around but I immediately grabbed his arm to stop him.

"What?" he asked me annoyed.

I raised an eyebrow at him,

"How will you send Aci home?" I asked him

"it's her problem anymore." he answered without emotion.

"take Aci home." I command him

"What?" he asked lightly.

"Take. Aci. Home" I emphasized the pronunciation of each word so that he could understand what I said.

I also widened my eyes and slightly pressed my grip on his arm to scare him and for him to obeyed my command.

"it's already midnight and it's dangerous." he said

"And so? is that a enough reason for you to take Aci home? it's dangerous, it's already midnight, and Aci is a girl. Do you what to Aci to be on the hands of those kidnappers again?" I threatened him

"How am I going to take her home?" he asked, maybe he realized that I am right.

"She's not going home, prepare the guestroom." I ordered him.

"Guestroom?"

"Yes, unless you want her to sleep in your room?" I tease him.

psh, it looks like there's something going on with this two. I want to know what it is.

"Fine."

Alexius entered the house, only Aci and I were left here.

"So ..." I started

"what's going on with you two?" I asked

"You already know it, I told you earlier at school." Aci said while sobbing

"I want the full explanation, go inside for now. Sleep tight Aci." I ordered her and she obeyed.

I also entered the house and went to my room, I felt drowsy so I lost my appetite to eat the ice cream.

When I entered my room I immediately went to bed.

I need to sleep because I still have a story to hear from Aci.

I will not stop until she tells me what going on with my brother and her.
