2 the day of Halloween

it was 1am the morning of Halloween, when I was woken up by a sudden bang from downstairs. Curiosity about the sound dragged me out of bed, and to my bedroom door.

By the way I haven't introduced myself to use yet bit my name is candy short for candise and this is my spooky Halloween story, also I have a secret to tell.

One year ago I started at 'Victoria Academy for the special', my mother Jean.Mary.Spinster thought it best to enroll me in here after my father Conrad.Jack.Spinster died, with out dad around mum couldn't protect me so she sent me here to aunty vic's school.

I've been here 2years now and I've learnt how to control my powers oh yes I forgot to mention I'm what u would call a mix, my history is long but before my dad died he and mum where protecting me from 'the grim' an organisation that is looking to kill anyone who shows a creators power like I have.

Anyway I went out my bedroom door and down the stairs with excitement building up in my chest for I knew who it was sneaking into the dorm room this late or early in the morning, it was my best friend Alice (she's a werewolf, with a bad temper ) coming back from hunting.

The dorm matron walked in right behind her flashing her sharp razor like teeth at me, "what are you doing up at this hour pup" she added in a gentle voice.

"I head you guys come open the door and well there was a loud thump so I thought I'd come investigate" I sighed as a turned to walk back to my room, but miss.furry grabbed my arm.

"Wait candy, we need to talk" she said, and with a dismissive wave at in Alice's direction we pealed off back out the door and Alice up to our room for sleep. "I've noticed lately that you have had a change in attitude toward everyone is there something wrong".

"No miss, nothing's wrong " I stammered because she was so close to the truth.

"OK then back to bed with u we have a big day in the maze today"miss said smiled and walked off, but not b4 I saw her lick her lips. I walked back to my room a fell into my bed by the time I woke up Alice was up and had packed both our survival packs.

Today is the day of Halloween and a tradition at Victoria Academy is that werewolves, vampires, zombies, fairies, witches and demons are to partner up and enter the maze and the last pair lest standing are the winners.

everyone is a hunter today and everyone becomes the hunted, in the maze it's kill or be killed this goes on for four days.

Me and Alice line up at the gates and we each get a tracker put on us, mine under my skin and Alice in her collar. The hour fell upon us when we had to enter the maze of doom.

As midday fell the sounds of bells jingling in the distance erupted in my ears to tell us the time, Alice looked at me excitement in her eyes and I looked back at her in the same way. These games where played every year and anyone could play even the humans where allowed to play but they where in more danger than they knew if they joined the games.

When the games where first introduced 7hundred years ago it was to stop monsters and other entities from getting killed by humans, or you know us completely getting rid of humans. All the monsters and entities have now retreated to a giant island in the middle of the ocean, where no human knows of its or our existence anymore. Monsters have faded into mythology now and so have other entities.

"We have to run now" Alice said as she spotted her brother and his vampire friend shadowing us.

"Easier done than said, I can hide us from them" I said with excitement running in my voice because the hunt had begun.

I cast a spell and a hole appeared in the ground, we jumped in and heard the boys confused whispers over the top of us.

Occe the boys moved off in a direction the dirt pealed back for us and let us out, but just as I climbed out I slipped and started falling into the hole again but a tanned,muscly arm grabbed my and pulled me out.
