1 Caught

It was supposed to be an easy run, a small town's bank along the Red River, and then escape into Indian territories towards civilized America. We wouldn't have lived like kings in any sense, but it would have been a comfortable little chunk to settle down with. We weren't expecting the Army to be there, or at least I wasn't.

Dawson sold me out. I should have known it was coming, but i thought it would take longer. I'm getting ahead of myself; you probably want to hear about my final run.

It was the dead of night, and we were hiding behind the riverbank, six guns clutched to our chest. My watch struck midnight. Silently we sped forward, to the banks vault, only for me to be met with at least a division of men, too many for even Hardin to beat. "So many men for two outlaws." I said, with a hint of pride as I let my gun clatter to the ground and kicked it to them. Dawson took at least 150$ they handed him and disappeared.
