Synopsis

June is my third favourite month after August, the month I was born in and September, the month my parents got married. “Sky Of June” this book will depict the end of my childhood. It will be my wake up call to adulthood problems, situations and decisions. I think, the feelings that develop inside a person while growing up like anger, hatred, anxiety, etc. the most important, poignant, understanding feeling is the feeling of love. And I first experienced that feeling with the person who was born in June. It wasn’t exactly today’s typical dating. Rather it was something really special, close to my heart. Not only that I felt love, but also I felt that I was important, I too, could be important. I understood the difference between caring and taking advantage, in simpler words, I understood the difference between real and fake friends. I understood that friends can also love each other, and trust me friendship is a really sacred bond. This book will say the story about a normal boy and a girl who are still confused about the meaning of life, who will go through normal problems just like us. So please, stay with me in this journey to see if they can overcome their fears or not. Fingers crossed!

Chapter 1I : Extra Cream Lattes

'A love story, is that always full of happiness? An ending, is that always happy? Life, an illusion,' she thought.

"But if you want you can make life your own fairytale," he said.

Confused and irritated she replied, "Mind reader?" her eyebrows furrowed.

"That's the next dialogue of the play and well, mind reader would be a nice career choice. What do you think?" he chuckled.

Suddenly, she felt a little guilty for her behaviour. They were standing in the auditorium of their university, Oxford. A play was going on written by a student. It was the first day after the mid-term break of the first semester.

"Sky, Sky Rudolph Richards," he lent his hand forward for a handshake.

"Sky? You're weird," she smiled and shook her hand.

"Yeah, I know actually my mom wanted a unique name for me. Well, there you go Sky." he brushed his hand on his oh so silky brunette hair.

She just watched him do that and thought how that hair would smell. 'Are you mad? You don't even know him properly!' her inner thoughts popped up.

"And what about Rudolph, that is the name of a fictional character right?" she said.

"Yeah, so Rudolph," he chuckled hard this time.

This sort of made her blush from inside. 'What's wrong with me?' she thought.

He continued, "As you know Rudolph is the name of the last reindeer of Santa, and I'm the last grandchild my great-grandma could see. She passed away you know. And Richards is my family name but I like to be known by Sky Rudolph R. Kinda like my own identity. By the way you didn't tell me yours."

"Oh, I'm June Gold," she replied.

"Well, your name is uncommon too. So June, what do you like?"

"As in what?"

"As in well," he paused for a while, "Coffee or tea?" he finally asked.

"Bit too early. Don't you think?"

June has always been single and this asking for a date was new to her. She wanted to go but had second thoughts.

"Wait, you're different," he answered shocked.

"Well, duhh I'm a Gold girl, I need to be different, get it?" they both smiled.

"Precious," he whispered in his heart. He noticed the grey highlights in her dark brown hair. 'Grey doesn't suit everybody but her ivory skin looks so good with it,' he thought.

"Did you say something?" she asked.

"Umm ... so I don't have any classes left so a non-date coffee?"

"You're paying."

"Okay," and he did the same hair brushing and then for the first time June sees his eye color. It's so beautiful she thinks. Aqua blue.

They walk to the coffee shop and order two extra cream lattes.

"So where are you from?" June asks.

"Well I'm from Chicago. Family lives there. I just wanted a break, that's why I came here. I like England but America's more fun and lively."

"So you're the new student. By the way I think so too. I'm from Los Angeles." She looks at his jawline highlighted by the sunray coming inside the coffee shop. 'His jaw game is strong, a Greek god,' she thought.

They finish their coffee and their little chit chat.

"You want me to drop you?" he smirks.

"Coffee was good, the address isn't open," she gives him a look.

"You're different," he says that again, "By the way your grey highlights really compliment your face."

June gives him a beautiful smile and goes out of the coffee shop.

June is the only child. Her parents love her more than anything. She just cannot survive without her books. She is not a very social person but craves for a real friend. June never had a real friend. Being in a relationship was never her cup of tea. But as years pass by, she wants someone by her side.

On the other side, Sky belongs from a rich family but gets no love. His parents try to give him everything he wants. But what Sky really wants is their affection and attention, which unfortunately he doesn't get. Sky loves two things in his life. Books and football. But he hates online football games. He believes in playing it in the field. He has lived his single life and now he, too, wants someone by his side.

Rebirth: Pampered by My Children and Husband

After Lin Xu died, she discovered that the world she was in was a novel. Her eldest son liked to imprison the female protagonist of the novel, engaging in sinister villainous acts with a dark room play. Her youngest son would unfailingly draw substitute's blood and snatch substitutes' kidneys for the female protagonist’s legal antagonist — his unrequited love. Her only daughter was the romantic fool forever revolving around the male protagonist of the novel. If children are not disciplined, the mother is to blame. After being reborn, Lin Xu felt she should step in and discipline her wayward children. However, before she could take action, her eldest son’s dark, handsome, and usually cold face blushed slightly as he asked in a low voice, “Can I touch my head?” The middle son snorted and turned his head, his tone petulant, “I... I don’t want to go home, but if you insist, I'll do it begrudgingly.” The youngest daughter rushed over, mercilessly pushing her brothers aside, “Mom, come and teach me how to solve this problem~” Latter, both sons fought over the bowl of noodles Lin Xu cooked. What was a novel’s female protagonist? Nothing compared to their mother. The daughter transformed herself, letting nothing from any novel’s male protagonist interfere with her studies! The family was blissfully happy. Latter, the revived, amnesiac husband suddenly appeared, cornering her against the wall, his eyes full of struggle, “Even if you're married, I still love you.” Lin Xu pretended to be serious, “Is that so, then what should we do?” He hugged her tightly, his voice muffled and pained, “Divorce him!” Lin Xu chuckled secretly, “I’ll divorce him right away.” Latter, after the husband regained his memory, he said through gritted teeth, “Over my dead body will we divorce!”
