28 Dao Partners, Forever Sek Si

Meanwhile, Sek Si released Jodye Trill's tongue and collapsed weakly in his arms. Sek Si's face was a burning crimson as if it was about pop like a water balloon. She struggled to focus her thoughts and vision.

What on earth had just occurred?

Sek just gave away her life's first kiss for free. She had just experienced thoughts and feelings that were so utterly foreign to everything she knew that she couldn't immediately recover. Even though she was still a little girl her clan had trained her in many things since a young age. After all, the Si Clan lived to serve the Goldwolf Clan. It was unknown what type of master one would serve, so they had to be ready for anything. Sek's little immature face instantly became even redder as she thought about it.

Meanwhile, Jodye Trill was frowning as the curse marks begin to fade, disappearing into both of their skin. This feeling was wondrous indeed.

Jodye never expected that Sek Si would assault his tongue before he could swallow the blood! He was unprepared for this turn of events. Plus, that feeling was far too magical. It didn't exactly feel good but went beyond any of his memories of intimacy. Such a sensation stood separated from the pleasure two lovers would feel. There was no arousal or passion. It was like their souls had somehow experienced the deepest level of astral intercourse, spiritual synchrony, and blending, hers connected to him, like an invisible rope tying the two together.

Or rather, Jodye felt like Sek Si was now an anchor. One that one always be next to him and could hold him at bay.

Jodye could feel a mysterious connection with the girl in his arms now. It wasn't as if they were two halves of a whole but more like she was his familiar. He could sense her state of mind as well as the condition of her body. It even felt like their hearts beat to the same rhythm. Jodye remembered feeling utterly powerless once Sek Si's lips touched his own. For most children, maybe this could be a normal reaction. However, Jodye Trill was in no way like most children; he had the mentality of an adult. Thus, he had no way of explaining this phenomenon.

"This girl has the traits of a blood-sucking Greater Demon. These are creatures that specialize in the utilization of Glamour force. It should be her combat soul's primary force genesis," Sylvester Tricko sent a soul thought to Jodye upon sensing the doubts of the latter, "Coincidentally, your father just used this same force on your mother."

"What!?" Thought Jodye Trill, whipping his head around. Upon seeing the dazed look in his mother's eyes, he suddenly recalled a rather unpleasant memory from his past life.

"Jonathan~~~, where are you, baby?" An incomparably attractive woman was slowly sashaying through an old apartment. Every outline her clothes drew on her body was perfect to the point of being stifling. Whether it was her top or bottom they were tall and swelled, yet her waist delicate and thin. No matter where one's eyes touched, no matter which angle she was seen from, it was so alluring that it would cause one's soul to go limp. She wore sexy lingerie that was flowing and transparent.

She called out her lovers name like a cat in heat. Jodye remembered his entire body tingle when hearing her. It was almost hypnotic. The highly appealing woman possessed an exceptional face topped only by her mature voluptuous shape. She had several piercings on her ears and tribal looking tattoos down her left leg wrapping around her waist and chest.

Many of the markings and tattoos on her related to voodoo and the occult. This woman had tri-colored eyes, that seemed to be a blend of purple-red and yellowish gold. Those eyes of hers were piercing even in the darkest environment, and they accented the hypnotic effect given off by the shape of her sexy body and sensual voice.

This woman was a born temptress like a succubus demon in its most alluring form. Had Jodye of not met his mother in this life, this woman would be the most exotic creature he had ever seen. Her name was Sansa, Jodye's guardian from his past life. She couldn't be said to have raised him, but she definitely found kept him safe and secure. She afforded him a lot of love until he started to become more aware. However, even after this, they were still close. This lasted up until the darker days of his childhood, anyway. Currently, Sansa sashayed past a nine-year-old Jodye Trill without even so much as looking in his direction. In her eyes was that same glazed over, dazed, and dreamy look.

Jodye shook his head to stop himself from delving too deep into those painful memories, in spite of having figured something out. He looked again at his mother and suddenly felt like she was a stranger. Anger filled his heart, but before he could think any further Grandpa Geb's boisterous laughter distracted his attention.

"Good, Good, Good! Haha," Grandpa Geb said 'Good' a total of three times before continuing, "This old man is gratified. From this day forth the two of you are bound together by the laws of fate. To betray each other is to betray your own destiny!"

Sek Si wore a solemn face, while Jodye Trill barely appeared to be listening, his face frowning. He was still slightly irritated and confused. He didn't have time for more of this saint nonsense.

"The auction will be starting soon, ancestor. We cannot delay any further," reminded Abercorn Trilleck.

House Lord Osiris told Abercorn Trilleck about this process in the past. Though Osiris Trilleck's ceremony with Ke Si wasn't quite so embarrassing, as there was no tongue locking, it wasn't very far off. It could even be argued that it was worse since they were two little boys in an embarrassing position. Jodye and Sek may feel upset now, but they were only youths. In Abercorn's opinion, they would quickly get over it.

"What shall we do about the children?" asked Elder Slaughter, concerned about her one weakness in life, Joseph, this little guy, "Sek Si has the shadow arts, we do not need to worry for her. However, I fear young lord Joseph's realm is simply far too low for that place. Shall we have Ke Si send him back?"

"No need. Since that is the case let us depart now," said Grandpa Geb without hesitations, before turning to Jodye again, a gratified smile in his eyes, "Well met, my young descendant. There are great things ahead of you, truly great things. Little Joseph, I am going to leave the mystic formations in this room active, but I will also transfer control over to you. It will likely be a long while before we are able to meet again. Although it is far from enough, this is the least of what I can do for you. Sek Si should be familiar with the facilities, she will arrange your meals. Stay in this place and train until your parents return to fetch you."

As Grandpa Geb finished talking, he put his index finger to his glabella and extracted a silvery-white string of light that became a tiny silver light sphere the size of a marble. He then flicked the marble-sized light sphere, and it shot right into Jodye's glabella before the boy could react at all. Jodye's head buzzed intensely as all the information about the cultivation platform's array formation flooded his mind. He learned the method of activation and all about the uniqueness of this formation!

The magic formation on the cultivation platform was called the "Ascended Heaven Formation." The establishment had two essential functions. The first function drew the spiritual energies of the heavens and the earth in the surroundings into the platform made of high-grade origin stone. The second function used magic force in tandem with the natural properties of the origin stone to transform spiritual energy into pure origin energy of the high grade.

While Jodye Trill may not have been able to fully appreciate the uniqueness and efficiency of this function, due in large part to his grandfather's undervaluing of it, he still recognized that this was a supremely lavish piece of equipment for someone of his rank.

"Sure," replied Jodye Trill, as if compliance wasn't his only option. At any rate, he was eager to study the Bright Star: Battle Book. The silvery-white string of consciousness also contained a set a mnemonics the merged with Jodye's mind. This was a battle technique called Nine Paths of the Bright Star, and it could only be comprehended by someone who understood the Bright Star: Battle Book. Sylvester Tricko had been bugging him about connecting to his meridians, and beginning his path to gaining an Original Dao. This pestering went on every night and day. Sylvester always referred to the hero race's Sage cultivation practice as the Dao of the Origin or Original Dao.

According to Sylvester, the compelling experts of this universe were known as Dao Cultivators. These experts all studied a variety of different dao to the acme to perfect their own dao, which would then serve as the foundation of their endless immortal journey. The "Dao of the Sage" and the "Dao of the Saint" were merely two Dao among a myriad of others in the universe. Jodye found this easy enough to believe, though he was still a bit lost on what the Dao actually was. Ancient Titans didn't consider themselves cultivators at all. They considered themselves the most supreme weapons in existence, born to conquer and lead.

They felt that they were tempered as immortal weapons, not cultivating. This was a systematic difference in belief.

The room once again returned to normal, as the shadows retreated back into the silhouette of a large man, standing with his back turned, towering behind Grandpa Geb. This completely shocked Jodye because he hadn't noticed this man until now.

Smack!

Suddenly, the temperature in the room plummeted, and a crisp resounding slap was heard. Lord Osiris was seen crashing into the opposite wall. The wall automatically mended itself as the lord climbed out of the hole his body had made upon impact.

"Allow me to make myself clear," Lady Isis spoke in a voice that was chilling to the core, as her hair floated without the wind. Her current aura was vast and unreproachable, Jodye had never felt his mother's atmosphere so clearly before. Within it, the wrath was nearly tangible like snowflakes in a cold night sky.

"Serene Slaughter force..."

Jodye Trill felt like just listening to her speak was slowing down all his bodily functions. Lady Isis seemed to notice her son's condition as the cold forces retreated back into her body rapidly. "The next person who stands between my son and I will be responsible for the failure of this plan," Lady Isis was livid as she spoke to the crowd, before turning to look at Osiris Trilleck.

"And you, you spineless coward. I have truly loved you in vain. If you ever do that to me again, then I will put my life on the line to kill you where you stand."

Osiris Trilleck was utterly speechless when his wife snapped at him like this. He felt an acute sense of loss, but what could he do? His father had already spoken.

"Isis!" Shouted Abercorn Trilleck.

"First lady!?"

"Lady Isis?"

"Sister Isis..."

All the elders were taken aback by Lady Isis' most recent, sudden, and domineering displays of might. The rage was involuntarily growing as she had assaulted her own husband!

Their leader!

They had never once seen her act this way. It was too unusual!

Jodye Trill, on the other hand, was giving his mother a thumbs up on the inside. He disagreed with his father's actions as well. His mother was a goddess visiting this mortal plane, how dare his father attempt to forcibly control her? This was clear blasphemy. Even if it was his own father, he must be smitten.

"Hmph," lady Isis sneered in disdain at the surrounding Five Elements Wolf Pack elders, "Leave us. I will stay with my son."

After speaking, Lady Isis sashayed her way slowly into one of the palace's cultivation rooms to re-adjust the state of her heart. Grandpa Geb and Abercorn Trilleck just looked at each other, a wry smile on their faces. "Maybe we shouldn't..."

"Do not worry, father. Master," Osiris Trilleck dusted himself off and gave a deep bow out of respect. "This one knows what to do. I will speak to my wife later. Although her temperament is as cold as ice, her anger remains fiery. The plan will still proceed forward."

"It is your matter to handle, and I can not interfere," sighed Grandpa Geb as he turned around, "Let us leave, Rex."

"Yes, Fort master," Said the huge man behind Grandpa Geb with his back to the crowd, disappearing in a portal made of shadows. Geb calmly passed through this portal.

House Lord Osiris Trilleck knelt in front of his son with a bright smile on his face, "You have done great today my son, absolutely amazing."

"Thank you, father," Jodye had a complicated expression on his face as his sapphire eyes locked onto his father.

Was this man a maniac villain?

Or just a jerk who made a mistake?

Meanwhile, Lord Osiris was slightly taken aback when he heard the way this third oldest child of his had just spoken to him. It's not that Jodye had done anything rude, not at all. Rather than that, it was how polite and formal the boy sounded that had caught the House Lord off guard! He could count on one hand the number of times the Joseph used the word "father" in his presence.

Wise as Osiris was, he quickly reached a conclusion.

"There are a great many things...you do not understand, my boy. Things you cannot possibly understand..." Lord Osiris sighed, then lowered his voice and spoke gently, "I am sorry for the way I treated your mother earlier. We've had some... well let us say that we do not currently see eye to eye. Plus, her previous state was provoked unexpectantly. It was definitely a mistake..."

Hearing this, Jodye was stunned. Indeed, from the moment his mother lost her temper up until she slapped her father, Jodye couldn't recognize the atmosphere she emitted. If this didn't indicate a serious change in mental state, then what else could it be?

"One day you will understand this father of yours. When that day comes, I will be fully willing to answer all of your questions. Until then, I'll just say this. I love both you and your mother dearly. If things were different...ah," Lord Osiris paused for a moment as if he was lost in thought, then he blinked twice and continued, "At any rate, Joe, I am proud of you. I have always been proud of you, and you continue to make me proud of every action. I will not ask what your grandpa Geb has given you or explain who he is to you. You should already know this in your heart. Your foresight is impressive, after all. Practice hard, my son. Your mother will one day need you far more then she has ever needed me. My true gift to her can only be you."

"I will practice hard, I promise. I'll practice harder than anyone, and one day I'll be stronger than you, and even that Grandpa Geb!" Said Jodye with an indomitable spirit. His eyes were now clear, and resolute. He looked his father deep in his eyes, "I'll work hard to take care of my mother! And then I'll become even stronger and take care of you, too, pops."

"Hahaha," House Lord Osiris laughed boisterously as he stood up straight. "Excellent, Joseph. I believe in you, kid. Okay, honored pack, we're leaving. Ke Si, Slaughter, you two stay here," commanded House Lord Osiris, as he disappeared into the portal of darkness with the rest of the elders.

"Practice hard, kid. We shall explore the palace a bit," said the only female elder of the Five Elements Wolf Pack, Charlotte Slaughter, grabbing Ke Si by the hand and dragging him out of the room. This dumbfounded Jodye Trill momentarily. Could these two be...?

No way right?

'Ke Si, you bastard dog,' little Jodye gnashed his teeth in frustration. Luckily Charlotte's scent was still that of a virgin. Ironically, Sek Si did not possess this scent. However, Jodye didn't think it was wise to pry about something so private. Besides, he also didn't want to be a child anymore.

Why did it take so long to grow up, anyway?

Outside the room,

"What is the meaning of this exactly, young lady?" asked Ke Si in confusion. He had rarely seen Charlotte behave so strangely.

"Just now, I received some intel that the group following us is beginning to surround this location," Charlotte's face was solemn, "They seem to be aware that the Fort Master has departed."

"How could that possibly be?" Ke Si was utterly stunned. "The Fort Master is a powerful mortal pharaoh! How could the enemy possibly detect his movements? Unless...No. It cannot be. Could it be that there is really a spy?"

"Maybe," Charlotte didn't deny it, as these words were indeed logical. However, she was familiar with this cult, and she had a different idea, " it is certainly the only conclusion that makes a lick of sense. Unless, of course, there is someone by Fort Master's side that they can track through... special means. Maybe more than one person."

Ke Si's face turned sinister and dark shadowy smoke started to leak from his body, "Special means, indeed. Fuck, how could we overlook such a big issue? I should have long since made the connection. With her talent...this is truly not good."

"Less of this, let us go now! We have to find your kinsman and stop them from tracking us again!" responded Charlotte sternly.

"What about the young master? I cannot simply," Ke Si was thoroughly uncomfortable with the idea of leaving Jodye behind while this place was under siege.

"If I am aware of the enemy, do you think that she is not? Has she even showed concern towards this?" asked Charlotte matter-of-factly.

"This..." Ke Si knew exactly who this 'she' that Charlotte was referring too was. His tense nerves suddenly relaxed. He placed his hand on Slaughter's shoulder with determined eyes, "Indeed. Fine, we will go now."

A midnight shadow force field instantly covered Charlotte Slaughter and Ke Si as they both disappeared from the palace. Many masters in the underground bazaar had their brow twitch as a dominant force passed through their perceptions like a ghost. Some of the more astute masters in this underground world caught a glimpse of shadow and sword qi.

"Go to the dawn," instructed Charlotte Slaughter. Moments late,r Ke Si and Charlotte walked out of the shadow of a rock pillar.

In front of them was a beautiful sight that one would never imagine seeing underground. It looked like an upside-down jungle. There were even exotic trees and other foliage growing with the stalactite on the cave ceiling. There were rolling hills, winter peaks, and fertile valleys. Below was a multi-layered mist, with the first layer being white.

In front of the duo was a large cliff face, that stood 800 meters above that mist. It was impossible to see the bottom beneath the cloud. This was the region known as The Dawn. It was also the path that pharaoh used to travel between the different Wards. Standing near the edge of the cliff was a camp of at least 50 warriors wearing bone armor. In the center of this encampment, Ke Si was able to feel a faint bloodline resonance. There was a woman with olive skin laying naked on the ground. Her clothes were torn and in shambles, and she was covered in sticky fluid.

"Pu Si." Ke Si's eyes were dreadful as he could only imagine what these evil bastards had done to his clanmate, "Pu Si was the shadow vassal of Layla Goldwolf. Could Layla have been captured by White Demon Temple?"

"I've got three agents in their camp. That priest is rumored to be at the Void Philosopher Sage Realm. I can't tell what his Sinner Cultivation is, but the rest are two elite level priests, five senior expert level Saints, and a bundle of other junior sage experts," reported Hell's Daughter Charlotte Slaughter.

"Even if he is at the Prism Rank, we will not allow him to cast anything significant," replied Ke Si calmly, his level-headed response greatly reassuring Hell's Daughter. Reassurance that only grew greater when she saw him tap his cane and six triple-layered magic circles that radiated black runic light. Although Ke Si was a saint, he possessed a unique holy weapon that could use magic. This made the head butler the equivalent of a high-level priest. Ke Si smiled complacently, "He is likely entirely focused on the task at hand. As long as I catch him off guard, does it even matter that he's a rank higher than us?"

"Good, take out the priest. Then I will handle the rest," as Charlotte spoke her pale golden atmosphere exploded as she shot forward like a cannonball. In front of the camp were four guards in black armor painted with a two-headed white snake. Charlotte crashed into the four guards protecting the front of camp as the Swordfire Death Halberd appeared in her hands. Once the Heaven's Mantle was equipped her battle strength instantly tripled! Every time she swung her halberd, a maelstrom of flaming slaughter sword qi ravished an enemy into ashes. Within less than a minute of landing, 27 of the enemy warriors' camp had fallen to Charlotte's frenzied attacking.

Ke Si was stunned as even the force of Charlotte's weakest blow was still 21 AP. This was very powerful.

Deep in the enemy camp, within the main tent, a Voodoo Priest villain named Jonte Mack had his eyes closed. He chanted a mantra while using his spiritual qi to refine Pu Si's blood essence into curse marks to write a sinister curse art. His focus was so intense that he didn't immediately notice the commotion, "Eh?"

"WHO DARES!" Sinister force waves released from his body as his eyes snapped open. He stood up shredding the tent into pieces. A broadsword with eight-feet-blade covered in creepy eyes that moved on their own manifested in his hand as his combat aura tripled. He immediately noticed Charlotte Slaughter wantonly destroying their camp and murdering his subordinates. He grimaced but moved to engage this killing star. However, Jonte Mack only took two steps before falling back in retreat. He jumped and dodged from side to side as if he was a beast trying to throw something off his back.

30 meters away from him, a puppet made of some strange metal floated in the air. It was dressed like a butler and looked a little funny. However, this was not the terrifying part. The moment this puppet appeared, Jonte Mack felt the presence of arcane forces all around him. It was similar to the feeling of being cursed, yet different as well. What Jonte didn't realize was that on his shadow six magic circles had suddenly appeared, barely visible since they were also covered in black light.

"That's it! Dark hack! Crucify!" Jonte Mack slashed like a maniac at the evil looking puppet that seemed to be taunting him and making faces. Black sword light containing piercing energy waves crashed into the puppet, but some weird force deflected it all.

Behind this battle, Ke Si calmly rose from Pu Si's shadow, cradling her in his arms. She was barely alive. This indicated to Ke Si that the only thing keeping her alive was the fact that Layla was also alive. In that case, where was she?

"For daring to harm a member of my clan, only one outcome remains for you. Death." Ke Si spat, his fury making his temple veins throb. Jonte Mack turned his head, but sneered. Did they think a little puppet was enough to stop him? However, Ke Si's next words sent a shiver down his spine.

"Time to stop playing around, Jinx," Ke Si's gaze was so cold and emotionless that it gave Jonte Mack a chill.

"Yes master," said the evil butler puppet as a sage aura suddenly exploded from it's person. It was at this moment that Jonte finally noticed the spell on his shadow. However, it was a step too late. "IMMOLATE!"

BANG!

The Voodoo Priest's shadow was blown into nothing, forever disappearing from this world.

"NOOOO!~~" Jonte Mack felt like his soul had been obliterated from within his body, his ghastly scream filling his desperate subordinates with dread as they fought with their lives on the line. Jonte's lifeless body slunk to the ground, and Ke Si vanished into the shadows once more.

Ultimately, Jodye decided it didn't really matter to him what they were doing. Even if they had disobeyed a direct order to sneak around like two high school children, and also if Charlotte had already promised herself to him. He would get over it.

Jodye Trill stood up and looked around the room, ignoring the intrusive gaze of the now standing Sek Si, which seemed to be permanently trained on himself. This was apparently a large and magnificent cultivation room within the palace. It had a meditation platform that could use the formation inscribed on it to draw in energies of the heavens and the earth. It also had a stone room where one could practice martial arts, or more specifically, Sage Arts.

There were also a couple of saunas and restrooms on this wing of the palace, and in the sleeping quarters. There was even some wine, juices, and fruits, all of which contained potent spiritual energies. Everything he needed was within reach, and there were plenty of things he couldn't identify at all. He immediately decided to take these things with him once he left.

This felt like a paradise to the current Jodye Trill, whose only thought was to grow and get stronger. Once he had sufficient strength, he believed his parents would let him roam around outside the estate. After all, this was Jodye's first time ever leaving his home since coming to this world!

Jodye made his way over to the platform and sat cross-legged in the center of it. Sek Si followed behind his every movement, silently, like a shadow, before sitting cross-legged next to Jodye. It was unknown what she thought as she stared at him.

Thus, he had to ask her, "What's the matter? Are you feeling unsatisfied?"

"No, young master, not at all," Sek Si frantically shook her head, slightly in a panic. Her handsome face turned beet red as she mumbled another response, "It's...I'm sure it is just a side-effect of the blood pact. Please continue to do your own things."

Inwardly she was thinking, "Why does my heart feel so unsettled the moment I remove my eyes from him? Is this really the blood pact? How terrifying."

Jodye Trill glanced once at Sek Si, causing her to blush slightly. He noticed that his natural sense of caution didn't seem to apply to this young girl anymore. He trusted her completely, and this was instinctive, similar to how it was with Sylvester Tricko. So many things had happened today, he barely had any time to process everything. Jodye quietly sighed, before flipping his palm, where a shiny blue book covered in runes appeared with a flash of light.

This was none other than the Bright Star: Battle Book, the mental cultivation method given to Jodye Trill by Grandpa Geb!

Cultivation is the understanding of, and the manipulation of the forces of the universe! More importantly mental cultivation was about becoming one with not just your current environment, but to understand that all of us are part of the reality of the universe, we are from it, we merge with it, and will be reborn from it.

The Titanic Rage Law was an immortal body transformation cultivation method that was focused on astral energies and body refinement. It followed the Dao of Supreme Might! It couldn't help refine his spiritual energies, it only converted them into star power, which constantly tempered his blood and flesh, allowing him to gain powerful brute strength and life force!

The Bright Star: Battle Book was different, it could teach Jodye to absorb and manipulate origin energy, as well as extract origin energy from the pure spiritual powers of the heavens and earth. Flipping through the first couple of pages, he was enlightened, as well as terrified. He had apparently been thinking about things all wrong.

"According to the Bright Star: Battle Book, an imbalance of different energies causes all the energy to turn cancerous. How scary!" Jodye felt his back grow cold with sweat. Hadn't Sly and himself been recklessly absorbing origin energy? Hadn't he subsequently done the same with crazy amounts of spirit source? To think he had almost caused his own death. Jodye felt his back wet with cold sweat.

"It is not quite that easy for energy to turn cancerous, Trill loser. You're far too weak to be concerned with such a thing," commentated Sylvester Tricko, rudely interrupting Jodye Trill's inner monologue. "Anyway, less of that, yes? Hurry up and use your spiritual sense to memorize the mental cultivation method. Pay special attention to the breath control, and the method of energy circulation. These are the crucial elements, everything else is secondary."

"Got it," Jodye Trill spoke out loud, startling Sek Si, who was already meditating next to him. This platform was just too useful, and she didn't want to waste even a second. Unfortunately, this boy enjoyed talking to himself. The boy in question was unaware of disturbing her as if he had forgotten that he wasn't alone.

After an hour had passed, Jodye had already committed the entire contents of the Bright Star: Battle Book to his memory. Though he couldn't comprehend all of it, Jodye discovered that when he used the spirit source of his right eye, he could at least remember the cultivation scripture in its entirety. It was like he was looking at it for the first time all over again. He could slowly study it over time.

For now, Jodye closed his eyes in meditation, and immediately entered his Host Space. Inside the Host Space, he activated his Mind's Eye, causing the outside world to be reflected in the Host Space. He then cast his spiritual force inward and observed the flow of energy in his body, before nodding at Sylvester.

"Hmph. Alright then. Let us begin."
