1 The Creation of Zero

In a small room, filled with packaged food laying around and rats squeaking about, was a fat kid laying on a mattress.

He opened his eyes slowly, only to see huge text of writing floating around him. He jumped out of his bed in complete shock, his body jiggling around.

"What… what is this!"

After blinking his eyes rapidly, he realised that the text in front of him won't go away. He took his time trying to calm down, and after a few minutes he began reading the text.

Ye Wuchen read it and was completely flabbergasted. He was going to be transported to another world where he can make a fresh start? After thinking about it, he was completely on board with the idea.

Life for him has been extremely tough. He was an orphan picked up by the Lin Family, the biggest family in China, and was treated like a son by the head of the family.

However, many people were jealous at Ye Wuchen and so he was bullied constantly by his adopted family. After his thirteenth birthday, he gained so much weight that even his adopted father couldn't stand to look at him. Another four years went by, and after being neglected by all, he ran away from the home and decided to look for a place of his own.

Looking for a place was tough, for who would give a job to a seventeen-year-old kid who looked like a boar. After a week of searching, he found an abandoned place where he could sleep and used the money, he had left with to survive on packaged food.

It has been three months, and the money he had saved was running out. Now, an opportunity to start anew is upon him. But thinking about it, could he survive in the new world?

His body can't handle physical work, he wasn't a smart individual and he sure isn't handsome enough to marry a rich girl and become a gigolo.

He needed more information, so he pressed next to see what's on the profile page.

Ye Wuchen was confused, but knowing that he won't get answers he decided to ignore it for now.

He read through the class list, and saw there was only two classes to choose from.

'Lord or Adventurer? Adventurers are travellers who earn money from killing monsters across the lands and missions given to them by the aboriginal residents. Lords are those destined to rule, creating an empire that would be remembered for ages or would be forgotten.'

Reading what each class is, Ye Wuchen knew that becoming an adventurer would be more ideal for him. But the Lord class was drawing him in, and he did not know why.

Ye Wuchen was extremely happy to see the 70-loyalty stat on his NPCs, that meant that he would not be treated like a joke automatically and he had time to change.

Ye Wuchen thought about it, and decided to change his name as the name 'Ye Wuchen' had no connection to him.

"Change my name to Zero"

His old game name was Zero, and knowing that the world would be similar to that of an RPG he decided to go with the name.

Dynasty names were important, for that is the name everyone would remember you by for the rest of time.

He opened the shattered window next to him looking at the sky above him. The blue, serene sky with white clouds roaming above him.

"My dynasty name is Sky, so that I can soar to the sky one day and become something greater."

Reading through his status, he realised that he is currently at the lowest of the low. Every human starts on 10 yet his stats were abysmal! However, what shocked him was the luck attribute, it was at God-tier! But he has never been lucky in his life, which shocked him greatly.

Knowing that this was what he was going to get even if he changes, he pressed yes and the text that was in front of him disappears.

Ye Wuchen, no, Zero Sky stood up and walked outside to see everyone around him in a rush. Did they get the message too? The whole world was going to change soon, and he was now a part of it.

"This is a new beginning for me, I hope I do not die forgotten."

Zero walked back into his apartment, contemplating on what he should do till he teleports.
