10 Plans for the Future

As Zero heard the announcement, he quickly ran out the room.

Brian who was walking the group of men in his command to a desolate field saw his lord running and quickly walked up to him.

"Anything the matter?"

"Quick, call back Samantha, Samuel and bring Lillian out of her damn room this is important!"

As Brian heard the command, he told his recruits to stand by while he ran off to call the trio.

Zero who saw this walked back to his room waiting for them to come, after a few minutes they each arrived.

"What's going on?" Samuel said, clearly annoyed at the sudden summoning.

"Barbarians will invade the village in two weeks, we need to plan on what to do when this happens!"

As Zero said this, the trio raised their eyebrows in suspicion.

"How might you know about this sir?"

Zero who was baffled at their response quickly realised that the notification only came to 'players' rather than the aboriginals of this world.

"I, um…"

He couldn't say anything, after all it was difficult to explain that a god had told him this.

"Don't worry lord! Barbarians are usually found in camps, so it might be possible that there is a barbarian camp in the island!"

'Brian, thank you!' Zero thought as he heard Brian's solution.

"Okay, Brian you go with the recruits around the island, try train them as they go so that they can gain some experience in combat."

Brian who heard Zero stood up and saluted, before walking out of the room to prepare.

"Hey, Lord! I was researching a few weapons for the newly established army and made a prototype to the Holy Kingdom's special launcher!"

"Special Launcher?" Zero turned his head and looked at Lillian in confusion.

"Yeah, they shoot balls from a round shape launcher and it was said that it decimated all the enemy ships during the War of the Four Kingdoms."

'Does she mean cannons?' Zero thought, after all the way she described the 'special' launcher did sound like a cannon from Earth.

"Show me the prototype later. Samuel, you got any plans for the development of the village?"

Samuel who heard his lord nodded, and brought out a small scroll. He laid it out on the table, allowing Zero to read it.

The more he read, the more pleased Zero was. He felt that the job of a ruler was extremely more easy with Samuel by his side.

"So, you wish to build a wall around the village and create more homes for the new villagers that will spawn in two days?"

"Yes lord, I'll also allow the farmers to start their markets so that we can start a small economy too!"

Zero nodded and Samuel knowing that his piece is finished stood up and left the room.

"Lord, if there is a war, we will need some weapons however the amount of iron we currently have is simply inefficient. There is a mountain up ahead and it seems to have a cave which could have some minerals, so I'll go over to investigate."

Samantha stood up quickly, and was about to leave before Zero stopped her.

"The journey will be dangerous, you sure you want to bring out workers to such a place?"

As Zero said this, Samantha started to laugh as she flexed her huge muscly arms.

"Don't worry, I'm a strong gal!"

She walked off, leaving Zero slightly flabbergasted.

'She does have beefy arms, man I'm jealous!'

Zero laid on his bed staring at the ceiling, thinking of ways to protect his village when the barbarians invade, after all it was his first invasion.

China, Earth.

"Mistress, what brings you to visit my humble home."

The head of the Lin family that took care of Zero, Lin Fang was standing staring at the beautiful middle-aged woman before him.

He has been busy setting up the Lin Family in the new world, and due to this he stayed over at Earth.

She stared at Lin Fang, causing him to feel a chill down his spine, but he had to suck it up after all, she could easily destroy the Lin Family!

"Where is my son, Little Fang?"

As Lin Fang heard this, he started to sweat. A few weeks ago, he lost the son he was sworn to look after and realised that not only did he run away, but he was bullied for so many years!

"Well, you see…"

The woman raised her eyebrows, staring straight at Lin Fang.

"Where is he…"

"He seemed to have run away."

As the woman heard this, the tea cup she was holding shattered into pieces.

"He… what?!"

"Please forgive me! He ran away, but I will find him, I promise you!"

She stood up, the bodyguards outside the door walked in and bowed before her.

"My son has probably made it to the new world, it'll be impossible to find him. You have truly disappointed me."

As she said this, she left the room leaving the bodyguards and Lin Fang alone in the room.

"No… Please, don't hurt me!"

The bodyguards slowly walk towards Lin Fang, their menacing aura covered the room.

"PLEASE! I'LL GIVE YOU ANYTHING!"

The woman who heard the screams walked towards her car; she opened her small compartment showing a photo of her with a baby.

"My son, I should have been with you from the start…"

She kissed the photo, before driving away from the building.
