On the right of where Excess was fighting , Rin was grinding too. Infront of him were bunch of Garfon's even though Rin and Excess started at the same time Rin had leveled up more cause of his experience in gaming.
'Hmm this should do it for today.'
Thinking that I looked towards the area I was fighting , bunch of green coloured monster annihilated on the ground. It was not a peaceful sight to watch.
'The red one was powerful. If Excess faces a monster like it will be hard for him to deal with him.'
'Red one' he was referring to was the same monster Excess was facing , which was 'Mid-Garfon'. Rin defeated the Mid-Garfon whose level was 29. It took him 6 minutes with his consecutive strikes and using his skills.
'I should check my status window again and see if I should invest my stats point in something.'
Thinking that I called out ,
"Show Status"
And a purple window flashed before me.

"Personally I like Excess's Status Window colour better but I guess purple's good too."
Just when I was going to use my stat points. I heard some noises from Excess's side.
"Damn , he's still going at it huh?"
I ran towards his direction with my beastman race buff my agility was A-ranked hence in few seconds I reached his side. I was excited to see that lifeless Axel fight those monsters.
'Whenever I saw whether it be in our classes or outside our university he was always a like walking corpse. No life in it , no light in those dead eyes just a lazy bum.'
'When I saw the mail on his phone I was excited for moments like these where he would be more active and also fo- well you will see it anyways.'
Just as reached there he was behind a rock just resting , ahead of the rock was the monster I fought for 6 minutes the 'Mid-Garfon'. I focused on the monster and window popped near that monster.

'This sure as hell is gonna be worth watching.'
In moments like this you could see the real Axel. After few seconds he charged towards the red monster. His legs were flashing
'Maybe because using some kind of spell maybe. But I didn't hear him say anything.'
He had two daggers in his hands and his face filled with confidence. He jumped in the air aiming for the head and used some kind of skill to cut through it's thick skin.
But when he landed his face filled confidence changed. He was surprised for some reason.
'Oh must be because of that'
when I was facing that monster my attacks did a lot less damage than what they normally did that when I saw defense stat on that Mid-Garfon , that was one of the reason it was hard to against it.
"Well this isn't getting anywhere , looks like I've to help."
As I was coming down from the tree I was watching from I heard Excess say ,
"Welp"
That's when I knew that Axel's true self was coming out the side I only saw once and was truly terrified about. I thought ,
"The title 'Failed Genius' really fits him. Wish I'd some popcorn to watch this massacre."

While Rin was doing all this , new footsteps were heard by Excess. They were coming from behind the level 23 Mid-Garfon infront of him.
'Something's coming this way. I've to finish this quickly.'
I quickly used 'Bloody Cut' without giving him time to recover from 'Slash'.

The edge of my Draken Daggers started glowing blood-red , it looked as if blood was flowing on its edge. The glowing head was aimed at the head of the Garfon. Cutting through the same wound didn't help as it didn't truely showed the effectiveness of 'Bleed' status.
I tried to leave as many wounds as possible during the skill's duration. Leaving clean cuts on legs , the green monster blood started gushing out. Jumping from the ground I attacked him mercilessly

I saw it's HP decreasing which made me even more motivate-
'Motivated!?'
Snapping out to the reality. I kept attacking the monster it blocked some of my attack with it's arms but with the total hit count of 6 the monster finally came to it's knee. Because of the 'Bleed' status , it eventually died.
'Nice maybe with this I could do it.'
I saw many messages pop before me but I couldn't focus on them , as the footsteps I heard before were very close to me.
Rin on the other side watching Excess was a little disappointed because of not getting to see Excess using his potential.
'Guess the opponent was just not worthy. But still defeating that Mid-Garfon under a minute is beyond me.'
Rin was wrong , he didn't realize it but the fight against Mid-Garfon only lasted 20 seconds. The even more crazy thing was Excess used 'Bloody Cut' for only 7 seconds knowingly, while it's duration was 10 seconds.
As Rin thought the fight was over , he was about to head in Excess's direction. But he saw Excess doing something. Excess took dagger throwing stance with those blood-red blazing daggers in his hands Excess threw them one after one in the direction where the Mid-Garfon died.
"Wait isn't he dead" is what Rin said , but after Rin focused his eyes in the direction where blood-red light was aiming a message popped before him.

"Wh-What!? Excess you really."
The one of the dagger stabbed the Garfon's Chest and the other one between its eyes. Playing this game for few hours I got hang of daggers throwing and eventually got nearly 90% accuracy. 4 messages appeared before Excess ,

But as I thought , that was not enough for the Garfon to die.
"Haste"
I tried to use haste and use the daggers while bloody cut was still activated. I ran towards the monster and jumped to where the daggers were stuck.
I grabbed my daggers which were stick in Garfon's body and pulled them out of it's chest and forehead.
But I was too late 'Bloody Cut' skill duration was already over. My skill 'Slash' had 1 minutes 44 seconds left for cooldown. I calmly analyzed the situation and the only answer I could come up with was
"Basic attacks , That's the only way to go."
By Basic attacks I meant the normal attacks used without any skills or abilities. Luckily the 'Bleed' status was taking away it's health bit by bit.
After a minute , 'Bleed' took away 36% of it's health.
'Huff Huff Huff'
After 3 minutes I was somehow able to kill the monster. Many messages appeared before but I wasn't in a shape to read them. I directly opened my Status Window instead of reading those messages.

I lied on the ground taking deep breaths. I closed my eyes for a minute to relax and control my breathing. After a while I opened my eyes and saw Rin standing there. Before I could say anything he asked me ,
"Hey why didn't you use your glowing dagger skill again?"
"Were you watching me? anyways I didn't use it cause it was on cooldown. I used it to kill the first Mid-Garfon."
"Oh so you didn't know , the skill cooldown resets once you've leveled up."
"Huh!? Rin you son of a b*tch."
And that's how our first day in Infinite came to end.
