Chapter 2 - A1 - Contemplating

'They might enter through the left, then, if lucky they have a certain chance of spotting me.' Asher wanted to specify his plan 'They are unlikely to go for a confrontation then, they might flee or try to hide till the spot is clear. Asher was caught in never ending contemplation.

'If it's the girl again I must observe her well' he pursed his lip 'She's slippery like butter' he sighed.

He had intended to quickly finish this job. After all he should not have been gone for this long. Though he supposed after this much delay they would not care about a couple more weeks anyways.

'Also, they should be used to it already' He just couldn`t leave yet.

'I have to cautiously take care of this first. After noticing an oddity in this group, he had decided to elongate his stay.

'I've never encountered a small group like this having an enhanced simply delivering mail' he still had not gotten behind this mystery. Only once he had encountered a gang with an enhanced among their group and he had been the leader. 'I hope this goes more smoothly then last time'

He returned to his scheming.

'this trap better work' he inconspicuously glanced at the floor he had loosened, just in case someone was watching him. Going against an enhanced was never an easy endeavour, especially when barely understanding the opponent's skill. Confronting them directly usually ended in a gruesome death, like being impaled or being shot by a weird laser.

'In the metropolis there is this one kid that can even make one's head explode if I remember correctly' he shuddered.

He tried redirecting his focus on the aspects he at least hoped to be in control about 'The source I have gotten this information should be rather secure' he nevertheless had prepared an escape option. Behind this locker I should remain unspotted.' He checked the locker again for any possible dangers.

'this gang is really something else' he had dealt with a lot of gangs, either being hired to weaken their influence or get rid of them altogether. Though after getting rid of the bigger group or certain individuals a replacement would most definitely just take over.

Usually the governor of the respective territory would just try to coexist, until they believed their grasp of control was not strong enough in comparison.

This towns case was still unique among those he had dealt with because a great part of this towns Populus had become too accepting of the thugs in control.

Its influence was stably growing while only causing minor obvious harm to the citizens and secretly pushing blame to other points of authority. 'I've got to admit this Mea is quite the organizer.' She was not only the leader of all these groups, but her own advisor as well.

He tried refocusing on the imminent challenge. It had been a personal issue since he had been little, always ending in a spiral of unnecessary thoughts.

Hearing footsteps he slowed his breathing. 'Here they come'. He touched his gun turning especially concentrated.

A girl holding a package slowly entered the room. Slow and carefully, but obviously without the skill of neither a trained- nor a street thief.

She moved to the prepared trapped, causing the floor to crack and her to gasp in shock.

Then suddenly something not unlike like his first experience with her happened. She disappeared.

'Just like that?'

He believed to recognize her footsteps down the street but decided against pursuing her 'I can't follow her now. Without appropriate precautions all I will do is create unwanted commotion.'

'She's like a dog's tail, quite impossible to catch.' He massaged his temples.
