16 10 years worth of effort

It has been 10 years since Alex's parents were taken away. Alex was outside cutting down trees with an axe. Yui was sitting on a bench watching him. They were both ten and they were childhood friends.

Alex was thrilled with his status. These past 10 years, he had grown accustomed to the way of life on Centorih. He trained hard to find his parents and as the kids grew older, they could finally hold conversations. Yui was always clingy to him for some reason and Shen Fei was always trying to cause trouble for him. The other kids were there too, but he didn't really pay that much attention to them. In the summer, Alex would go into the forest and hunt some beast once a week. In the winter, Alex would go practice his skills in the back of his old house. He had started cultivating when he was 5 and now had a Martialist-Grade 9 Cultivation Base. He has used the resources left by his parents. Although his cultivation looked slow, all he was doing was building a solid foundation. The Old Man guided him in his cultivation.

Alex's Soul Power reached a state where he could cover a circle with a 5 kilometers or 3.10686 Miles radius around him. His power could absolutely annihilate even Qi Condensation Grade 9 Cultivation Bases and if he went all out, he would rival Earth Realm Cultivators. He had the advantage of being a cultivator and a magician. His Killing Intent could suppress Cultivation Bases of Earth Realm Grade 1 and lower.

*Boom* The tree that Alex was cutting started falling. It was then he saw Shen Fei Right behind it, the latter saw this and pushed it towards Alex with his Martialist-Grade 7 cultivation base. The tree started falling towards Alex. Although Alex could just dodge it, Yui was right behind him. Even though Yui could push the tree, the momentum made it heavier on impact. Alex reacted quickly as he appeared beside Yui and pulled her in his arms as he jumped sideways at a high speed..

The tree fell onto the bench Yui was sitting on and the bench shattered due to the impact.

"What the Hell!? You could have hurt Yui!" Alex glared intently at Shen Fei while Yui was crying on his shoulder. Like who wouldn't be scared of dying.

The old man who had been watching with his Spiritual Perception came out.

"Old Man, this is what happened.." Alex was about to explain, but when he saw the smile on the Old Man's face, he immediately stopped himself and said"Never mind, you probably saw everything!"

"Hahahaha! Well Done boy, this is why I want to marry you to Yui!"

Old Man Han laughed as the slapped Alex in the back causing a lot of pain for Alex.

Alex didn't know whether he should have laughed or cried when he heard what the old man said and the notification.

Later, Shen Fei was punished and sent home because his actions had almost cause Alex and Yui to get hurt.

When night came, Alex went back to his room in his old house and slept on the newly bought bed. While Alex slept at his house, Yui was also on her bed thinking about what happened today. She remembered seeing the tree falling towards her and feeling danger, but right when she thought it was it for her, Alex had brought her into his arms. She also heard what her grandfather told Alex. She couldn't help but blush thinking about it. She closed her eyes and slept with a smile on her face.
