7 007 Summoned Beast Trainer

The conversation between Li Chun and Lu Wu ended with Lu Wu's "chicken soup"**.

When Li Chun saw how firm Lu Wu was with this choice, he was convinced by the hot "chicken soup" that Lu Wu served. He was so touched by it and couldn't bear to say anything else to demotivate Lu Wu.

Well, this was normal as well.

Li Chun started this conversation to prevent Lu Wu from doing anything silly since Lu Wu's reaction during the Summoner's Ceremony yesterday was very worrying. 

His main intention was just to comfort Lu Wu, he wouldn't want to unnecessarily demotivate Lu Wu. 

After hearing what Lu Wu said, Li Chun thought that perhaps that it would be better for Lu Wu to get the opportunity to try instead of just convincing Lu Wu to give up.

But, what he didn't know was that Li Chun was the only one who was touched by all the rubbish that was said. As for Lu Wu?

He didn't feel a single thing since he was the one who said it.

In fact, he even felt a little disgusted with himself after thinking back about what he said.

Most of their future as a professional summoner would only be decided after the Summoner's Ceremony that would be held when they turned 18. Therefore, most of the classes on summoned beasts would only be taught during their senior year. 

Or to be more precise, the special class of their senior year.

In order to gain access to the information related to being a professional summoner, he only had two choices — getting into the special class in the final year or getting it now from the library. 

It's true, all the relevant information was available at the library. It was just placed on the shelf and you could read through it whenever you felt like it.

That's the thing that Lu Wu was going after.

Lu Wu looked at Pang Tutu who followed him to the library.

"You can head home first." 

Pang Tutu lowered her head and said softly, "I… I want to study as well." 

Okay then, if that's what she said.

Lu Wu didn't say much after that. Instead, he found a spot in the library and made Skeleton sit at that spot while he walked around the library looking for books to read.

Within a short period of time, Lu Wu had about seven to eight books in his arms. Then, he went back to his spot, got rid of Skeleton before starting another round of reading.

Pang Tutu who was sitting next to him watched Lu Wu with worried eyes as Lu Wu had already been studying for the entire day.

Ever since yesterday, Lu Wu had become a completely different person.

He had never opened a single book since before this. However, the boy that was sitting in front of her was studying and his attitude was also very much different from before.

Although all of these were for the better, she was still really worried.

She couldn't put into words what she was worried about, but there was just a bad feeling in her heart, it was nerve-wracking!

Lu Wu, on the other hand, had already finished one of the books within half an hour. When he was stretching his back, he noticed Pang Tutu staring at him. He frowned and said, "Didn't you say that you wanted to study as well? Why are you looking at me like that? Start reading or else I'll beat the sh*t out of you if I catch you staring at me again!"

"Oh oh!"

Pang Tutu immediately lowered her head. She took the book from Lu Wu and started to pretend that she was reading the book.

For some unknown reason, Pang Tutu immediately felt much better after being scolded by Lu Wu.

Lu Wu didn't know what she was thinking about, but he finally took the time to properly look at the girl sitting right in front of him.

This was the first time that he properly looked at his childhood friend.

As Lu Wu took a closer look, he realised that this childhood friend of his was actually really pretty. Although she was a little fat, she still had all the pretty features.

Her skin was fair and smooth and she had a pretty-looking face. She was already a really cute girl even if she was a chubby one at the same time.

"Hmm, she would definitely be a really pretty girl once she loses all that weight."

Lu Wu suddenly voiced his thoughts out loud and immediately stunned Pang Tutu who was busy pretending to read the book in her hands. She slowly looked up at Lu Wu as if she wanted to confirm that it wasn't Lu Wu who said it. But, when she finally lifted her head, all she saw was Lu Wu who was busy studying.

 Lu Wu ended up being at the library for four hours. He used four hours to read through all the eight books that he took from the shelves.

After reading through them, Lu Wu had a better understanding of what it means to be a professional summoner.

The core of this profession was the summoned beasts.

The summoned beasts were used for battles and the power of these summoned beasts could be improved with proper training.

As the summoned beasts became stronger, the summoner's powers would improve accordingly as well. Whether or not the summoner would get a second or a third summoned beast would very much depend on this.

In conclusion, the stronger the summoned beast, the more powerful the summoner became.

This was why the initial summoned beast played a very important role.

If their first summoned beast was a good one, it would be easier to train and nurture, which also meant that the summoner's power would increase at a faster rate.

If the first summoned beast was a bad one and was impossible to be trained, it would be the end for them.

Yeap, that's why everyone would assume that if any normal person in their right mind summoned a skeleton, they would not be able to become a professional summoner.

But, Lu Wu is not a normal summoner. 

He had his cheats which was why he never cared about what the others thought. All he cared about was how to train his summoned beast. 

Regarding this, Lu Wu managed to find the answers to it from all the books that he read. There were a lot of different ways where you could nurture a summoned beast, but there were two main ways to do so.

First, training!

Different summoned beasts would have to undergo different kinds of training, and the most suitable one would definitely help with making the summoned beast stronger.

The second method was using money -- like an in-app purchase!

Since everything in this world could be achieved as long as you had enough money, it could also be applied to summoners as well. If you had enough money, you could even make Skeleton the most powerful summoned beast ever seen.

Well, of course, you don't directly feed money to the summoned beast.

Instead, you give it to a person known as a "Summoned Beast Trainer"!

Well, you could already guess from the name itself.

They were a profession who were experts in training summoned beasts. 

They called themselves the scientists of summoners. The most common thing they said to the summoner was, "You are only a tool to summon these beasts. You don't know a single thing about these summoned beasts!"

They were right because they were very skilled in what they do.

They could improve the quality and strength of any summoned beast by formulating customized training manuals and refining medications for them.

A good summoned beast trainer was much more respected than a professional summoner.

When Lu Wu found out about this profession, his eyes started glowing with excitement.....
