5 005 Skeleton's Training

Translator: Dragon Boat Translation Editor: Dragon Boat Translation

Lu Wu had to admit that he was a little jealous of Lin when he saw the goblin's attributes.

Ever since he got the golden finger yesterday, Lu Wu had managed to touch several summoned beasts by taking advantage of his "average-looking" face. After looking through different attribute bars, Lin's goblin was the only one that came with a special skill.

Although it hadn't obtained it yet, the fact that the goblin came along with an inborn skill was already so much better than most of the summoned beasts out there.

However, there was something much more important than this. The goblin had a pretty high IQ.

When Lu Wu touched it, it immediately turned around and stared at Lu Wu.

The goblin's face said —"Do not f**king touch me".

Its reaction, facial expression and the look in its eyes once again gave Lu Wu the thought of throwing away the stupid skeleton that couldn't even walk by itself.

"Tell me, will there ever be a time when you'll be just as powerful as that goblin?"

Lu Wu couldn't help but turn around and sighed as he said to Skeleton.

Skeleton gave a blank stare and did not reply.

As he saw the dumb look on its face, Lu Wu became even more angry and screamed, "You f**king piece of sh*t! I swear to god I transmigrated here for a reason, and I will train you until you become one of the best! Let's go!"

Lu Wu dragged along Skeleton and went to the market to get one of the most important ingredients needed to train Skeleton — a piece of bone.

Then, Lu Wu started training Skeleton according to the manual that he read through the night before.

As for the manual, Lu Wu highly suspect that sh*t was written by a novel writer instead of a professional summoner.

This was because most of the things in the manual were bullsh*t, just like most of the novels out there.

For a manual that consisted of about 2000 words, there were only 2 main points.

First, it said that Skeleton would be able to absorb nutrients from the bone in order to strengthen itself, although the process might be a little slower than expected.

The second point mentioned was that the energy that Skeleton absorbed during the training would make its bone stronger which would allow him to move a little more.

That's all he got from the manual that consisted of 2000 words.

As for the other training that it mentioned, those were just normal things like jogging, squats, push-ups and burpees.

Of course, the easier it was, the faster Lu Wu would be able to finish it!

It would make Lu Wu's work so much easier as well.

"Finish it and run after me!"

Although Skeleton couldn't respond, it should be able to understand what Lu Wu was saying.

Then, it obediently placed the bone in its mouth and then started swaying side to side as it followed behind Lu Wu.

This training would only be effective after a long time. Therefore, its effect wouldn't show immediately.

Therefore, Skeleton still kept falling to the ground after every few steps just like before. However, this time round, Lu Wu didn't pick it up and instead, waited for Skeleton to get back up by itself. Then, Lu Wu would continue as soon as Skeleton got back on its feet.

They trained the whole way to school but it didn't seem to make any difference.

The only thing that was different was that Lu Wu was almost late for class.

"Forget it, I shouldn't train it on the way to school. It was such a waste of time. I might use the time to read some more books in the library since I can train it while I'm in class."

Lu Wu quickly rushed into class right before the last bell rang and immediately went to his seat. As soon as he sat down, he turned to see that his deskmate was not there as well.

"Eh? Pang Tutu's not here yet?"

At that moment, the door opened and a chubby girl rushed into class. It was Lu Wu's deskmate — Pang Tutu.

As he looked at Pang Tutu who was panting, Lu Wu asked, "Why are you so late?"

"I woke up late!"

Pang Tutu didn't dare to say that it was because she was waiting for Lu Wu, and obviously, she didn't have the guts to complain to Lu Wu about how he didn't tell her that they were leaving earlier that morning.

Lu Wu replied with a simple "oh" and continued looking at the classroom that was new yet familiar to him. To be more precise, he was looking at his classmates along with their summoned beast.

Hmmm… or it was just their summoned beasts that he was interested in.

Lu Wu thought that the skeleton that he summoned was already the most classic useless piece of sh*t.

But then, as he looked through all the summoned beasts in the class, he realised that his was not the worst. Ummmm…. It can be said that everyone had summoned beasts that were just as bad as his.

There were forty of them, and out of the entire class, there were about seven to eight skeletons.

Other than skeletons, there were also a lot of summoned beasts like Pang Tutu's Piglet, which were obviously beasts that were practically useless.

There were only a quarter of them who had summoned beasts that had combat skills.

These people who got these summoned beasts all had an arrogant look on their faces. Although they couldn't publicly express it, the word "happy" was already written all over their foreheads.

As for the rest of them, they looked down at their feet and would occasionally glance at those who got those useful summoned beasts. Oh... the envious and hatred look in their eyes really drew the difference between those who were extremely lucky and extremely unlucky.

The atmosphere in the classroom was obviously displeasing and Lu Wu decided to start flipping through his books.

He didn't have time to waste.

Just as Lu Wu started reading through his books, a young man in his thirties walked into the room.

This young man was called Li Chun, the headteacher of Lu Wu's class.

He walked into the class, went on the podium and saw the students who were in despair. However, there was not much he could say to comfort them.

As Li Chun was an experienced man, an experienced teacher to be exact, he had seen this happening for several years already.

He knew that nothing he said would make them feel better. Instead, it would make them feel even worse.

Li Chun had his own way of dealing with these types of situations.

It was obvious that it was because they had nothing better to do which is why they had the time to feel sad. He just had to give them enough work to keep them occupied, and they would be able to come out of it very soon. However, there was one of them that he had to give extra attention to soon. You guessed it right, it was the boy who fainted when he saw that his summoned beast was a skeleton — Lu Wu.

Lu Wu's mentality was way too weak and he definitely needs help. Otherwise, he might do something really stupid.

As he thought about it, Li Chun's attention turned to Lu Wu.

That's when he realised that there was definitely something wrong with Lu Wu.

This boy was training his skeleton. Lu Wu was a lazy student before this and would never read books since he was the exact definition of a slacker student but the boy that he was looking at now was focused on the books that were on his tables.

It was obvious that Lu Wu was putting in effort to train his skeleton.

Li Chun got even more worried after seeing this.

Lu Wu had just fainted yesterday, and today, he was reading books and was trying to train his skeleton. It looked like Lu Wu was very determined to become a professional summoner.

The more determined he was, the more stubborn he would be. This definitely wasn't the best way for him to deal with this situation.

If Lu Wu's summoned beast wasn't a skeleton and or if he came from a better family or even if had better results in class, Li Chun would have been glad to see this scene that was happening right in front of him.

However, the worrying thing here was that Lu Wu's summoned beast was a skeleton which was the most useless beast.

Plus, Lu Wu was a slacker from before, and he comes from an ordinary family.

With all these combined, Li Chun was sure that Lu Wu had no hope of attending the summoner's universities.

All of Lu Wu's effort would go to waste.

This was exactly why Li Chun was so worried.

He was worried that Lu Wu might do something stupid when all of his efforts failed.

"Hmm, looks like I really have to sit him down and give him some counselling!"
