2 002 Summoner

As soon as they left the hospital, Lu Wu headed to the school with Skeleton in his arms.

As he looked around, it finally hit Lu Wu that he had really transmigrated into a world that was completely different from his. 

Inside this school, all the students that Lu Wu saw had a summoned beasts following behind them.

There were all sorts of summoned beasts. 

Some had a silly skeleton following behind them just like him.

Others had summoned beasts from the animal class like Piglet who was in Pang Tutu's arms.

There were even some who had summoned beasts that were exactly like characters from movies and video games like goblins and elves.

With all these weird and peculiar summon beasts gathered together, the campus looked like a fantasy world which had a particularly strong impact on Lu Wu.

The scene put him in a slight trance and Lu Wu started doubting himself. Since he thought that he might be dreaming, he couldn't help but pinched himself.

"Eh? It doesn't hurt. This is definitely just a dream." 

Nonsense, he wasn't even pinching his own hand, why would it hurt? 

Pang Tutu who was pinched instead felt an agonising pain on her arm, but she was more concerned with what was happening to Lu Wu.

From her perspective, the fact that Lu Wu summoned a skeleton must have been a big blow to him. The impact was so big that Lu Wu still couldn't accept the truth. 

This made Pang Tutu feel terrible. She wanted to comfort him really badly but she didn't know what to say.

Before she could think of something, Lu Wu had already disappeared. The next moment, she saw Lu Wu flirting with a girl not far away.

"Hi friend, your bird looks really cute. Can I touch it?"

"Oh, sure!"

Lu Wu's opening speech was super lame that even the girl wanted to just ignore him.

However, when she turned around and saw his "average-looking" face, her arm naturally reached out and passed him her summoned beast.

At the same time, she slowly took out her phone and wanted to ask for his number.

But, after touching her summoned beast, Lu Wu thanked her and left. 

The girl was caught off guard. What the hell? I just took out my phone and you're already gone?

Did he just come up to me so that he could touch this bird?

After looking around, she saw Lu Wu talking to another girl and she started burning with rage. 

"Hmph! Asshole!"

With the same method, Lu Wu managed to touch several summoned beasts. However, after a few tries, he had no other choice but to stop.

On one hand, it was because he already got all the information that he wanted and he already confirmed his speculation.

On the other hand, all the girls were glaring at him with a scary look on their faces which caused a chill to run down his spine.

He was confused. All I did was touch their summoned beasts, why do all of them look so pissed? 

Lu Wu could no longer bear the situation and dragged along Pang Tutu as they left the campus. 

As they got out of campus and reached the bus stop, Lu Wu let go of Pang Tutu's hands. Then, when he turned around, he saw a flushing red, chubby face, that was rather cute, gasping for air. Lu Wu frowned and said, "Why is your face so red? We didn't even run that much and you're already so breathless! You won't be in the right shape to be a summoner. You really have to go on a diet, okay?"

"Okay!"

Pang Tutu still had the look of an obedient wife. 

Lu Wu didn't bother talking to her anymore and immediately got onto the bus when it arrived.

"Beep, student card!"

After getting onto the bus, Lu Wu found a seat by the window and looked at the view outside.

As the bus moved, the scene outside changed. It was a new yet very familiar world. At the same time, the memories that he had of this world slowly appeared in his mind.

This was a world that was very similar to the one that he was from.

Of course, the world that he was referring to was the one about a century ago, not the current one.

This is because just about a century ago, the world had undergone a drastic change.

Monsters and creatures that were only found in movies and novels started appearing in their lives and illogical things like secret realms were found all across the world. The most incredible thing that happened was that the firearms that were deemed as the most powerful weapon in the world suddenly became completely useless.

This caused the world to turn into chaos.

It was only ten years ago when humans finally regained stability and peace.

And the only reason why humans could achieve it in a scary and unfamiliar world that had monsters and creatures along with secret realms was all because of summoners!

Throughout the years, humans finally realised that even though their firearms became useless, they gained an entirely different set of skills which included the abilities to conquer, summon and command monsters.

Ever since then, the profession known as "summoner" emerged in their world. 

Humans used this ability to stop the chaos and regained dominance. They managed to restore peace and stability and build a world where humans and summoned beasts could coexist.

That was how that orderless period ended.

In this new world, a summoner, or most specifically, a professional summoner was the most respected profession. 

It was everyone's dream to become a professional summoner. This included Lu Wu's predecessor.

However, it wasn't as easy as it seemed.

In this world, in order for an ordinary person to become a professional summoner, he only had two options.

He could either get into the Summoner's universities and then graduate as a summoner.

Or he had to pass the assessment of the Summoner's Union.

These were the only two ways by which he could get a summoner's license and become a professional summoner that everyone dreamed to become. 

As for Lu Wu's current condition, the first option was more suitable for him, and it was also the most formal way to do so.

Therefore, as he processed all the "new" memories that he got and perhaps because of this or because of the respect that he had for professional summoners since his previous life, he immediately set a target for himself.

"I will get into the Summoner's universities and become a professional summoner!"

Just as Lu Wu set his new target, he couldn't help but frown.

This was because as soon as he set the target, all the memories from applying to the universities came rushing into his mind. 

With that part of the memory, Lu Wu realised that it was impossible for him to get into the Summoner's universities with his current condition.

There were two conditions in order for him to apply: the results of his cultural class along with the results in the National High School League.

In other words, both of these combined were exactly like the college entrance exam in his previous life.

And both of these were a different pain in the ass for Lu Wu now. 

As for the cultural class….

He was a slacker student in his previous life and he had just arrived in this world. All his memories were still jumbled up and he didn't even remember much from his classes. If he were to take the exam now, he was sure that he would fail the exam.

This was already a huge problem for him.

But the second one was an even bigger problem — the National High School Summoner's League!
