A look of surprise lined the face of the Lesser Earth Monument. He wasn't expecting the wall to shatter, as it was made by him. He wasn't nearly prepared enough to see a wall he made get destroyed by a person with little mana. The Lesser Earth Guardian laughed while walking away. Aaron was confused, but after about ten seconds, The Lesser Earth Monument called out to him. "You impress me, human! Come! We have a battle to start!" He yelled out as he continued walking. Aaron was slightly pissed off at the fact that he was called human, but he was restricting his power level just so that he could actually go fight him.
Aaron walked inside the cave entrance, watching the Lesser Earth Monument walkthrough. The walls began to glow as large sigils shone along the walls. It was almost mystical, but it was definitely magical. Aaron watched as the whole tunnel shone, almost as if it was coming to life. In the corner of his vision, Aaron saw something move. He looked towards the walls, yet nothing was happening. "Huh. Must be my imagination." Aaron commented, looking behind him, realising that Monument and Alec were nowhere to be seen. The Lesser Earth Monument looked behind him and sensed Aaron's confusion.
"Oh, don't worry about your friends. They're walking along as well. It's just that this cave makes it hard to see unless you or a person you have travelled with has battled me in the past week." The Lesser Earth Guardian explained, calming Aaron down. Aaron was starting to worry that something sinister was going down, but no, it was just the cave. "Oh, that's alright. I just wanted to make sure that they were doing alright, as Alec doesn't appear to be a fan of being alone." Aaron responded, looking behind him again.
"I'm able to see your friends. They've figured out what's going on and are walking beside you. Almost like they know exactly where you are. You can't feel, hear, see, smell, or even taste them. It's just human instinct to know where the others are, I guess." The Lesser Earth Guardian admitted, somewhat jealous of how the humans knew where they were. Aaron just laughed, pretending to agree, as he knew that they probably just had an idea of where they were going.
"Yeah...humans have something like that built into them. It's a tracker of sorts, but it's not too good. It relies purely on primal instinct, which we gave up long ago. It appears a bit of it lies in everyone." Aaron passed off as truth before realising something. "Wait a minute...are Alec and my other friend talking to you right now, or are they being quiet?" Aaron asked, curious about how that worked. The Lesser Earth Monument turned around, walking backwards while looking at Aaron. "Nicely noticed. Both of them is talking to a different version of me. They are almost like a clone. In this cave, our reality is split into multiple versions of itself. Think of it like infinite universes, where everything and nothing can happen, although the end goal will always be the same. We will get to the end." The Lesser Earth Guardian explained, almost like he was an omnipotent being while in his own domain.
Also, the reason they've been referred to as both Monuments and Guardians is that they are known by both, so don't be shocked if the words change.
Aaron watched as he saw the sigils began to move alongside him. The wall sign moved! How in the hell was that possible?!
Oh yeah, magic and gods existed. Of course, anything could be possible as long as someone was dedicated enough. So yeah, Aaron wasn't really the calmest, seeing the lines that were 𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘥𝘥𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘥𝘺 𝘸𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘴 move. He watched as the sigils painted a portrait using their bodies, and it spelt out a word as he walked, getting closer to the Lesser Earth Guardian.
"Finished..." Aaron read from the ceiling as the sigils began to form another word, this time much faster. "Are..." Aaron continued to read before the final word popped up. "You..." Aaron finished and then realised something was up. "You...are...finished...SHIT!" Aaron yelled out as the Lesser Earth Guardian turned around, landing a devastating blow on Aaron. It would have been enough to kill an actual human, but it shocked Aaron. He didn't think that this was going to happen. He looked up, only to see the guardian throwing another punch.
"You really didn't think I wouldn't notice you, monster? Take off your helmet, and show yourself! The real you!" The Lesser Earth Guardian yelled while flinging another punch. Aaron rolled out of the way, making sure that he didn't get hit by that. He didn't know what was going, so he needed to be careful with how he handled this. Or did he?
Aaron took off his helmet as instructed but then did something unexpected. He pulled his arm back while releasing the suppression on his untampered worldly power level. "Take this!" Aaron yelled while throwing the helmet at the guardian at full force. The helmet broke the sound barrier the second it left Aaron's hand. One second the guardian was fine, and the next, it was on the ground. Aaron has thrown it towards his head, putting all of the force onto its form of the spine, snapping it. IT could no longer stand up.
Aaron snapped his fingers as Alec and Monument appeared behind him, confused as all hell. They had no idea what was going on, as the guardian was inexplicably on the ground. "Alright, so this cheeky bastard just tried to murder me. I've taken care of him, so what should we do with him?" Aaron asked while turning towards the pair, only to see a shocked look on Alec's face. Aaron then realised what he had done, and he had fucked up pretty badly.
"Well, the cat is out of the bag. Hey there, Alec. I'm Aaron, the skeleton you've been travelling with!"
