Everyone began to walk into the new kingdom, bar Aaron. He had something that he needed to do. 'Now, how do I properly set up a tournament?' Aaron asked himself. He did say he'd set up one, but it honestly seemed like a pipe dream right now. It was, simply, because he had never set up a tournament of any kind before.
[You know, I could help you out. Or, if you wanted, I could just create a book called "How to set up a tournament"] Memica responded, as Aaron just sighed in response. 'Let me guess. It'll have a huge label on the front that just reads out "FOR DUMMIES" on it, won't it?" Aaron replied, waiting for a response.
[....]
[Yes.]
Memica quietly answered, as Aaron just chuckled inwardly, lifting his hand into the air.
'Fine. Create it. I want to learn how to properly set up a competition.' Aaron told Memica, and, almost instantly, a thick book appeared. Aaron tried to pick up the book, but his hands phased through it. The book suddenly dropped, and he was crushed by the weight of it. He wasn't expecting this to be so heavy, so he didn't teleport out of the way. Now he was sprawled on the ground, a book not in his hands but on his back.
"What the fuck!?" Aaron yelled to himself out loud, making sure he didn't alert anyone. "Why is it so thick and hard?! It hit me like a ton of bricks!"
[Well, I filled it with all possible scenarios and how to solve them, so nothing should go wrong!] Memica delightfully cheered.
'I think you forgot that things have weight.' Aaron sighed, teleporting out from underneath the book. "Jesus. That thing is way too big." Aaron said to himself, looking at the book. It appeared to be as long as the Bible itself. 'You really went overboard with this one, Memica.' Aaron commented. 'Is it possible for you to make a shorter version?'
[Fine. I wanted you to read that whole thing, but if you're that impatient, I'll make a shorter version of the book.] Memica responded, a short version of it appearing out of thin air. It couldn't have been more than ten pages of information. "Huh. This is much more like it, Memica. Although, I do have to ask. You don't use any Boundless Skills for this, at least that I can see. So, how do you do it?" Aaron asked Memica out loud.
[Well, it's just something that I, as a System, can do. I unlock more capabilities the further you progress with your Boundless Status. This is something that you got once you left the first world. You know, when you first became a skeleton.] Memica explained as Aaron began to flip through the book, scanning over its contents briefly before reading it. 'So, this will help me set up a tournament, right?' Aaron confirmed, just being on the safe side. He wanted to make sure that everything went well for this.
[Yes, everything will be fine. Now, before you get too ahead of yourself, you'll need to figure out what the competitions are going to be. After all, you can't have a tournament without the brackets, right?] Memica reminded Aaron, snapping him back into action. "Alright, time to go brainstorm. Although, first, I need a place to hold the competition." Aaron realised, floating high above the city, realising there was no place to hold a stadium. No space was unused. "God damn it. This is what happens when you get too carried away." Aaron muttered to himself. "No matter. I'll just build one on the outside of the city. After all, there's a lot of free space there."
Aaron looked over to the uninhabited grasslands, and with a smile on his face, he created a black portal above the ground, preparing to make a tournament ground. However, the second he started to imagine what he had wanted, he had an idea, and it would make him look even more impressive than the humans already thought. He'd create the tournament grounds on the day of the competition, and he'd let everyone decide what arena they'd want. Or well, maybe the most popular contestant vote would win. He'd need to choose between those later on.
"Alright, so not yet. I won't make it yet. Let's wait. Now, what should I do now? After all, there's not much that I can think of that needs doing before the tournament..." Aaron contemplated whilst turning to the empty city. It was devoid of citizens.
"Of course! I need people who can live in my city! After all, it isn't a city without its people!" Aaron exclaimed, realising what he now needed to do. However, there was just one roadblock, and that was that he had absolutely no idea where he'd find more monsters. "Maybe I should go ask Seph. After all, he's lived on this planet for much longer than I have." Aaron said to himself, teleporting to Seph, only to find him looking around some of the empty shops. "Heh. I might decide to run a business. After all, it's not like I'm short on supplies." He said out loud.
"Hey, Seph. I need your help with something." Aaron told him with a smile on his face, scaring the absolute daylights out of Seph as he jumped back, a hand on his chest. "Jesus! Aaron! Please don't scare me like that again! Seriously! You keep doing it, and I can never tell when you'll try to scare me!" He yelled, as None just smiled in his place. "So, what do you need from him?" None asked Aaron.
"Well, I just need to know if you can tell me where I can find the locations of other monster villages. Think elves, dwarves, basically any kind of sentient monster species you can name." Aaron explained as Seph looked at him in relief. "Oh, well, I don't know of those races, but there are monsters like werewolves. Werewolves transform from being human to being actual wolves whenever they feel threatened. There's also stuff like orcs, although they are hard to negotiate with. However, once they get a good deal, they are incredibly docile creatures, surprisingly enough." Seph responded as Aaron smiled.
"Well then, let us go find some orcs and werewolves!" Aaron exclaimed as he walked out of the shop, Crystet and None sighing in perfect unison. They'll never get a break, will they?
