2 Greed

The three of us spent the rest of the day talking about our lives and everything else we had to deal with in our lives. I felt like I could really trust them, they had both been on the receiving end of a lot of abuse and torture. They were a lot like me in certain ways, Mason was constantly abused and ridiculed for being the way he is, while Akira's family of nine were hunted and murdered like animals. He is determined to find and kill the humans responsible, him and Mason were traveling together with the same goals as me. To destroy the corruption that is in this world. Eventually the three of us decided on our next course of action, We'd make a base of operations and eventually we'd recruit more members from different species. Once I woke up that next morning I waited till they worked up and asked,

"What do we do first? Find a home or more members?"

"I think we should find a home, but not build it. Just a place to have it." Akira said.

"I think you two should go look for more members, while i find the base location. We should meet by the northern abandoned den of giants in two days." I proposed.

"I like that idea." Mason said. Akira nodded in agreement. So I rose to my feet and walked towards the east, knowing instantly where I'd put the base.

"Remember two days!" I called back. Akira gave me a wave as I walked outta sight, I began to ponder my thoughts as I lost track of where I was.

After a few hours of walking I looked up, not knowing where I was. I saw the most beautiful area I had ever seen. The trees were massive, a nice large river was flowing into a large clearing. I was in awe of the beauty of the place, it was a shame I had to make my home here. I got to my knees, summoning my darkness I began to form it into full size men to do what I desire. I commanded them to clear most of the trees and turn them into what was needed to build a massive castle. I shut my eyes, I began to focus on the clear image I wanted in my head. I couldn't tell you how long I've been sitting there. It felt like a day and a half, once I opened my eyes I saw a massive stone structure with the beauty of a thousand suns. The roof was wooden while the massive walls were made of a cold silver stone, I saw the massive door. I began to walk towards it, knowing what I would see. I had guessed right, I began to see exactly what I was looking for. I saw a massive weapons room, a hallway full of open rooms, a massive storage area, and a massive hall filled with tools and essential equipment, and when I walked into the last room I saw a massive kitchen and dining table. The massive castle was enough to bring a smile to my face, then I realized I had better get moving towards the meeting point. I grabbed what I would need, only then did I realize that the main hall was the only room that was stocked. I just raced out of the castle and towards the meeting point, hoping I could make it.

I was running for hours, but once I finally got there I found my second wind. Only reason I found it was because they were being attacked by a trio of giants. The massive lumbering beasts were nearly sixteen feet tall, with scars all over their body. I didn't care to describe them further because they were nude. I raced forth to help, knowing what I needed to do. I leapt into the air, and in a flash of darkness and blood the giants' heads rolled away from their corpses. Once I looked at the two of them did I realise they had two other people with them, I instantly knew what race they were, a dark elf and a fairy. I was about to speak when I heard a voice, "Mama..Papa.." It cried. I turned around, seeing a large giant baby. It was a baby girl judging on the clothes she was wearing. And I killed her whole family, I instantly felt guilty.

"Josh, don't worry about it. I'll take care of it." I heard a new voice, it was the fairy's voice. I didn't say anything but I knew we'd found new members after what they saw me do. The fairy flew over to the crying giant, murmured a spell and the giant shrank to a normal human baby. I sat down, deep in regret, Mason and Akira began telling me what had happened. They were waiting for me outside the den, not knowing that the giants were living inside.

"If you hadn't saved us we would have died," Akira said gratefully. Mason nodded. I gathered the group around and began to debate, "Is it agreed that we'd take this giant baby with us?" I asked. WIthout hesitation they all nodded.

"Good, alright. The dark elf and fairy, please begin your introductions." I continued. The dark elf stood up,

"My name is Levi, I'd like to help your cause. My mother was beaten, abused and raped by the leader of our hometown. She refused to marry him and he was so furious he gave her a fate worse than death.. I'd like to find the bastard responsible and kill him." He said. Then he sat down, as if in deep thought. Next the fairy began talking with the giant baby in her arms,

"My name is king. I was supposed to be the next bride of the current king but I said love cannot be made, it has to be earned. My mother and father threw me out and disowned me.. I just want to go home and tell them I love them." She said.

Her golden hair was matted and her eyes were a light red, which told me she was telling the truth. I looked from all the people I'd just met, I was inches from smiling. But instead i began to speak,

"Choose your sin, your past is no longer something you run from. But you run towards and fight back against it, choose a sin from your past that you will be branded with until the fight against evil is over." I demanded.

"Im bloodlust, my brand will be a blood drop." I stated, looking at the group.

"Greed. My brand, a large fox on my back" Mason confirmed.

"Love, My brand.. A large heart with cracks in it." King said solemnly.

"Pride.. A large gryphon." Levi said coldly.

"What about you Akira?" Mason asked.

"I don't know…" He stammered. I had a way to do this so I got up and placed my finger on his forehead.

"A chameleon, your sin adaptability. You tried to change for those around you.." I said, with that he looked at me with sadness in his eyes.

"What about the giant baby.." King asked quietly. I didn't know, I couldn't do the same thing on a baby who's hardly had a childhood. But I got the feeling of what it will be,

"Her sin will be fear, her brand a large crow on her shoulder. And her name will be Jotun." I said,

"Why fear?" King asked.

"She will be the bravest of us all." I replied without hesitation.

"Hold hands, I'll begin the branding." I said, once we did I began. I channeled my darkness and used it like a writing utensil to draw the brands on the bodies like a pen on paper.

"The condition of this branding is they will vanish once all the evil vanishes from this world." I stated. Then the brands began to burn, i could tell it was working. Moments later the pain stopped, as soon as it did I saw everyone begin looking at their brands. I knew mine was there too, then I stood.

"As your leader I declare the Sins Of Humanity, a group of good people who fight the evil of this world, I declare that we are the line of good and evil! I declare that the Sins are born!" I barked. No one objected to me calling myself the leader, but i had a feeling they wouldn't.

"Huurahhh!!" Everyone barked. I sat down in a heap, I saw the sky was getting darker.

"Tomorrow i'll show you the finished Base." I said with a grin.
