26 Chapter: 25

Yun Che had a big smile over his face as he made his way towards the inner palace.

He felt… liberated.

For once, he truly felt free!

{Why do you look so happy?} Jasmine inquired, confused.

She couldn't understand his happiness since the moment he left the central hall.

"Hehehe! You won't understand, Jasmine! It has been more than an hour, an hour! And not a single mob has come to me shouting I stole his wife or something! It feels as if I'm free! This feeling… is just pure bliss!"

Jasmine rolled her eyes in exasperation.

She thought it was something serious but it seems like it was Yun Che being Yun Che. Who would feel happy over such a little thing?

"Anyways, it's finally time I pick a weapon for myself!" Yun Che said excitedly, gaining Jasmine's attention. "There are three Weapon Pavilions within Blue Wind Profound Palace. According to Yuanba, the inner palace has the best Weapon Pavilion out of the three!"

Common Weapon Pavilion was for outer palace disciples.

Earth Weapon Pavilion was for middle palace disciples.

And Sky Weapon Pavilion was for inner palace disciples. This pavilion contained the highest level of weapons within the profound palace with lowest being True Profound Realm and highest being occasional Earth Profound Realm weapons!

For Yun Che, who didn't have a single weapon on himself, it was an exciting opportunity to select a weapon.

'Maybe I should try earning Blacksmith skill or something. Adding Enchantment, I should be able to create some OP weapons myself! Oh, now that I remember…'

Suddenly, an image of a red-haired girl (whose favorite food was expensive and strong weapons) appeared in his mind. And with that, a small smile appeared over his face.

'Well, my choice of weapon is going to be heavy swords, isn't it? No way I'm letting a Primordial Weapon out of my hand. Either way, with my Menu, there isn't a single weapon or art I cannot use!'

With such thoughts, Yun Che entered the Sky Weapon Pavilion.

True to its name, the inside of the weapon pavilion was filled with weapons of all kinds.

Yun Che could feel the aura of Spirit Profound Realm weapons all around.

He walked casually within the pavilion, using [Analyze] on every weapon he could see. He was trying to find a hidden gem. If his reader's sense were right, in such places, there should be a hidden weapon that looked normal as fuck but would immensely help protagonist at the starting levels.

And he was right!

Standing in front of the massive clamp of iron, Yun Che smiled.

It was a great sword, a genuine greatsword, with a width of around thirty centimeters, and no fancy decorations; it didn't even have any imposing external aura, and it looked just like a chunk of ordinary iron.

But from the information he got from the [Analyze], he could see that it was an Earth Profound Realm weapon! It was the only Earth Profound Realm weapon currently within the Sky Weapon Pavilion!

Not only that, from the information he got from the [Analyze], this weapon also had a soul fragment inside of it! No way he was letting such a weapon be wasted!

"This should do it!"

With a smirk on his face, Yun Che's hand reached for the sword and he tightly gripped it.

With excitement, he picked it up… or he thought he did. His expression cramped before a loud sound of something heavy hitting the ground shocked the inside of Sky Weapon Pavilion.

Yun Che stared down at the weapon he couldn't even pick with an embarrassing expression.

Jasmine, seeing Yun Che picking a heavy sword, had a sentimental expression appear over her face. She hated to admit it, but she could see the silhouette of her brother within Yun Che.

For some reason, this made her feel warm inside her and her gaze softened.

And then seeing him fail to pick up the sword, her lips unconsciously curled up. She was enjoying this!

"Che! Whatever." Yun Che bent down and placed his hand over the sword; it vanished! With a smirk, he stated. "Why carry it when I have a portable dimension to do it for me? Humph! Since I can't carry it right now, I'll use it as a projectile. Throwing it on my enemies from up above the sky doesn't sound that bad either."

{...} Jasmine was lost for words. She wanted to say how he lost all motivation to master it all of sudden. He didn't even try! He just lost all motivation at the first try!

"Alright! Now that I have the weapon, time to cultivate!"

With a happy smile, Yun Che made his way towards the Profound Gathering Tower; it was a 10 story tower which gathers and condenses profound energy for cultivation.

Entering the tower, he made his way towards one of the empty rooms. With Wushang's permission, no one stopped him. He was, after all, allowed to use all resources of the inner palace. As such, no one dared to even say anything against him.

After becoming comfortable with the inside of his "new room", Yun Che called out the heavy sword. Like before, it dropped on the ground with a heavy thump, shaking it a little.

"Now then… What should I do with you?"

Of course, he was waiting for Jasmine to teach him the Great way of Buddha.

When he wasn't able to pick the heavy sword, he remembered that Yun Che was only able to pick the heavy sword because of Jasmine teaching him the Great Way of Buddha. As such, he was waiting for her to come out and teach him.

And as he had predicted, like a fairy, she appeared in front of him, floating.

Nothing had changed about her since the last time Yun Che had seen her; same petite body and long red-hair. Same heavenly face with which she looked down at Yun Che with condescending glare.

Though Yun Che felt her gaze had softened a lot since the last time. He nodded his head with a smile; it was a progress, even if a little, it still was.

She was more accommodating of his presence now.
