Here I go out into the world of college. Well... in a few months to a year depending on when there are teachers to teach the classes I need for my major. I want to be an author, so I am majoring in creative writing. I just graduated high school and my birthday is in two weeks.

I will be nineteen soon. Today I am going to go out to town to the local café/ diner to get a milkshake and browse the internet on my computer. Not much to do today. Last week I went on vacation and I got back two days ago. My family and I went to a lakeside cabin area to spend the week. We had a great time.

I am on my way to the diner with my Notebook computer in my laptop bag. I'm riding my bike since it isn't that far. It is also almost summertime as well so that is good. There must be a rock or something under my tire because I just fell off my bicycle. Luckily, I'm okay.

"Are you okay miss?" I hear a voice say as I am now about to get up off the ground.

"I'm fine, thank you," I reply back.

"Here, let me help you up," I hear them say. The unknown person reaches out a hand and I look up to see a man that I have never seen before trying to help me up of the ground. I'm allowing him to help me up and I grab hold of his hand.

Now that I'm up off the ground I am knocking the little bit of dirt off my pants that got on there when I fell off my bike.

"Are you sure you're alright," the unknown man asks me.

"I'm alright, thank you," I inform him.

"Where were you headed when you took the fall," he asks me.

"I'm actually on my way to Jerry's. The diner a block down."

"Mind if I tag along?"

"I don't mind. I was just going to grab a shake and browse the internet on my notebook."

"Sounds boring. Maybe that'll change with someone to accompany you."

"I don't know. We'll have to see about that now."

"Are you going to ride your bike there?"

"I think I'll just push it. What were you doing walking downtown?"

"I was actually just out for a stroll. I probably would have ended up at the park. I like to go there sometimes and sit on a bench where I can just think sometimes," He says to me.

"Where you going there today?"

"No, actually I only did that once."

"Oh, well, okay then."

"Shall we go to Jerry's then?"

"Alright."

We are walking to the diner in silence as of right now.

"Hello, welcome to Jerry's. You can sit anywhere you like today," Wanda the waitress says. I know her name because I come here often.

"Thanks Wanda."

"No problem."

"Her name is Wanda," Mr. Unknown asks me as we go to sit at a table.

"Yeah, I come here often so I remember her name. She will probably be our waitress today as well."

"Well then."

"Hi there, I'm Wanda and I will be your server today", Wanda says while standing at the table Mr. Unknown and I have chosen.

"Hi Wanda," I say to her.

"Who's this? Have you got yourself a boyfriend?"

"No, we actually just met. He helped me up off the ground after I fell off my bike. I must have ran over a rock. I parked my bicycle right outside the door. The bike and I are both okay."

"Well that was nice. Can I get you guys anything to drink?"

"I'll have a strawberry milkshake please", I say.

"I'll have a water with some lemon please and thank you very much", Mr. Unknown tells Wanda.

"I'll be right back with your drinks."

"Thanks," I reply to her.

"So, I see you like milkshakes."

"Yeah, I do."

"That is interesting."

"So, Mr. Unknown, what is your name," I ask him.

"My name is Rustle Stylinson. What's your name bicycle girl?"

"My name is Lea Skilt. Nice to meet you Mr. Stylinson."

"You can call me Rustle. Nice to meet you too Miss Skilt."

"Please, you can call me Lea."

"Well, it is very nice to meet you Lea."

"Why thank you Rustle."

"Here is your milkshake and water. Can I get you anything to eat or anything at all," Wanda asks us while placing our drinks in front of us on the table.

"Actually, so do you have like a bagel and some cream cheese," Rustle asks her.

"I'm not sure. We might have that. I can see if we do. I don't know if we have that anymore. I will check. Would you like anything else if not?"

"If you don't have that would you happen to have toast and butter?"

"Now that we do have. I will see what we have. Would you like anything Lea?"

"I wasn't going to order anything but now I think I will. Can I get a hot fudge cake?"

"Sure thing. Would y'all like anything else?"

"I'm good," I say.

"What about you Mr.", Wanda asks Rustle.

"I'm fine, thank you."

"Alright, I'll be right back," Wanda says to us and heads off.

"You have got to try the hot fudge cake here. It is delicious."

"Sounds good."

"It is. I get that for dessert every time I come here."

"Really?"

"Yeah."

"Cool."

"So..."

"Tell me about yourself."

"There isn't much to really say about me. I mean, I would consider myself a boring person."

"Come on, now that can't be true."

"It is, how about you tell me about you. I'm sure you're not too boring. I mean, you can't be boring. I'm the one who's boring."

"Well, I'm in the business. I own a bank. I don't actually do any of the banking though. I just manage the people I have working there. I also own a few shops around the area. I own a bookstore, a formal occasion clothing store, and a thrift store. That is my job, being a business man. I am an only child and I live in a house. What's your story? You dating, engaged, single? You working anywhere? Tell me. I want to know about you."

"Well, there isn't much to tell. I live with my parents. I don't have a job. I actually want to be an author. I am also an only child as well. As for my relationship status, no I don't have a boyfriend and I am not engaged. I'm not married either. I'm actually single. You're a charming guy. I bet the ladies are falling all over you. You married or have a girlfriend?"

"Actually Miss Skilt..." I cut him off here.

"You can call me Lea."

"Okay, Lea, I don't have a girlfriend and I'm not married. I actually don't date that much. I have probably only went on a few dates in my life. I'm not too much into dating. Haven't really found a girl and I am usually into either my work or alone. Although sometimes I do go out with some friends."

"Wow...Very interesting."

"Not really Lea. Do you date guys often?"

"No", I say shyly.

"Come on, why not?"

"Um...I've actually never been asked out."

"Really? I though you would have been."

"Nope, never. Not even once."

"Well then, today is your lucky day. I would like to ask you out on a date. We can talk about somewhere to go through text. Here let ne give you my number," he says.

I am opening a contact page on my phone and handing it to him. He is punching in his number.

"There, now you have my number."

"Here, let me return the favor", I say to him.

He is handing me his phone and I am putting my number in there.

"Now you have mine," I tell him.

"Here is your food," Wanda says as she sits our food on the table.

"Thank you," we both say to her.

"Let me know if you need anything."

"Sure thing," I tell her.

We are sitting here in silence and I am eating my hot fudge cake. I'm looking at Rustle and I'm watching him eat his food. Wow! The way he eats is super sexy.

"You have got to try this," I speak to Rustle.

"I'm sure I'd like it too."

"Grab a spoon."

"You're serious?"

"Yes, grab a spoon. Unless you want ice cream coming at your face."

"Huh?"

"Just get a spoon."

"Okay," he says to me and gets a spoon out to take a bite of my hot fudge cake.

"You're right. It is delicious," he informs me.

"Told you it was."

"And you were right."

We eventually finish eating.

"Thank you for everything," I let Wanda know.

"You're welcome. Come and see me again real soon Lea hun. You can even bring Mr. Handsome here."

"We'll see about that."

"Take care sweetheart."

"Will do. You take care of yourself too."

"Thank you Hun."

"You're welcome," I say as Rustle and I are walking out the door.

"Well, I guess I should get home. I know I'm an adult but my parents still might wonder what happened to me. Even though I have my phone they still will probably wonder. Unless I tell them I'm going somewhere so they don't freak out."

"Wow! It's like your sixteen or something."

"Close to it. You're grown up and out on your own. You don't get this."

"True, I am grown up. It has literally been years since I was sixteen. Do I even look sixteen?"

"You look either twenty-one or twenty-two."

"Not too bad. Actually I'm twenty-seven."

"Wow, I thought you were like twenty-one or twenty-two."

"Nope, I'm twenty-seven."

"Wow!"

"I suppose you're in your twenties yourself?"

"Close."

"No?"

"I'm actually eighteen. I turn nineteen in two weeks."

"Nineteen huh?"

"Yeah, is there something wrong with that?"

"Nothing at all. Does my age bother you at all?"

"No, it doesn't bother me a bit."

"Good...Would you like to go somewhere private where we can talk and get to know each other better?"

"Sure, just let me text my mom first and tell her I am going to be in town for a little while. My parents won't mind. Plus, if they did then too bad. I am an adult."

"Right, okay. I know a place where we can go that is private. It's not my house either. I don't think that is appropriate since we just met."

"True," I say to Rustle.

I'm texting my mom to let her know I will be in town for a bit, then I can go and talk to Rustle to get to know him better.
