"Excuse me?" Anger wells up inside me, but I try to stay calm. How dare he speak so rude to someone he just met?

"Sing a song for me," he repeats, leaning back.

"Why would I?" I almost let it come out in a disgusted tone.

"You love singing, don't you? Let me hear it." He looks straight in my eyes.

'I refuse.' I turn around, walking out of the classroom, forgetting about my cleaning duty.

Caden's mom radar immediately spots my foul mood as I walk into the club room. "What's wrong, Nuriel?" He frowns.

"Someone in my class acted really rude to me. It has made me kind of angry. I'm sorry," I answer honestly.

He hums. "Let's start playing, then." He grabs his guitar.

"Lucian, Noah, we're gonna start," I call out.

Singing makes me feel better. Makes me forget whatever occupied my mind before. It's one of the reasons I love singing so much. No matter what, it will always help me.

However, the blond boy with glasses keeps bugging me, ruining my mood. Apparently, it's clear that I am not in a good mood today, as my friends look at me with a frown.

"Let's just stop here today, alright? We have to create some new songs anyways, so let's take a look at our lyrics," Noah sighs.

"I'm sorry. I don't know what's wrong with me," I apologize to my fellow band members.

"How about we start looking for a songwriter? I mean, we kind of suck, man," Lucian says.

I look at the sheets of papers in front of us. We spent hours making them up, but Lucian's right: it's not good. We will never make it if we play this, and we don't even have anything for the guitar, drums, and keyboard yet. I sigh.

And just like that, we spend the rest of our club time creating a poster. The two energetic boys do the creative handiwork, while me and Caden make sure it contains all necessary info, like our e-mail address and such.

Just as it is time to leave, my phone buzzes. I received an email from the tutor thing I signed up for. I open it, seeing a strange name appear om the screen.

"You have been paired up with Micah Skye."

"Does anyone know who Micah Skye is?" I ask the other band members just as they're about to leave.

"Isn't he the kid who used to have too much energy but suddenly turned silent? I believe his hair was either bright red or orange," Lucian wonders.

"If Lucian thinks he has way too much energy, than that would be, like, a bouncing ball on a trampoline, bro,' Noah says. I chuckle.

"What happened to him?" I ask curiously.

"Nobody knows. Some link it to the new kid. I can't remember his name, but he looks like a devil. You might wanna stay away from them," my light haired friend warns me.

"Don't listen to them," Caden sighs, " but do take good care of yourself, alright?"

"Alright," I answer. "You take care, too. See you guys tomorrow."
